# FirstDraft

> FirstDraft® is for people who record interviews, statements, dictation and meetings and need the words in writing quickly: police officers and investigators, attorneys and their staff, insurance adjusters, and government officials.

If you type up recordings yourself or replay audio to find what was said, FirstDraft gives you a draft to work from instead. Upload a recording to NetScribe® Connect, VIQ's online portal, or record in the browser or with the MobileMic Pro™ app, and an editable draft comes back within minutes. The draft labels each speaker and reaches up to 95% accuracy, depending on audio quality.

You review the draft in the browser with the recording playing in step with the text, and clicking a word jumps to that point in the audio. Correct it yourself, download it as a Word document for your own systems, or generate a summary of the main points. You get an email when a transcript is ready.

Not every recording needs a verbatim transcript. Use the draft for the ones that don't, and send the ones that do to VIQ for professional editing to 99% accuracy.

Transcripts are encrypted at rest and in transit, and access is restricted and logged. US customers' files are stored in US cloud regions and UK customers' files in UK regions.

FirstDraft costs $60 USD per user, per month, with 500 minutes included. Enterprise pricing is available on request.
