# vDisk

> vDisk is an on-premises unified cloud desktop management platform supporting VDI, VOI and IDV delivery models. It brings image deployment, endpoint management and remote desktop publishing into one platform for computer labs and shared computing environments.

Administrators can prepare and update images, distribute them to selected endpoint groups, apply supported restore policies, and check image and endpoint status from a shared console. Depending on the delivery model, users work on local terminal hardware or access a published virtual or physical desktop remotely. Browser access applies to supported VDI desktops; physical desktop access uses the vDX client.

Local cached operation requires a complete image cache, compatible boot settings, and applications and licensing that do not require network services. This does not make VDI sessions available offline. Deployment requirements, client support and feature availability depend on the selected model and product version. Evaluate applications, access permissions, retained data and rollback in a pilot before rollout. English documentation and email enquiries are available. Classroom teaching functions can be evaluated separately with cc-class.
