# Spinifex

> Spinifex is an open-source, AWS-compatible cloud platform built for defence, government, financial services, healthcare, energy, and manufacturing organizations that need to run workloads on operator-controlled infrastructure. It also serves enterprise teams, AI labs, and model-serving startups managing GPU fleets.

The software deploys on bare-metal servers, virtual machines, or multi-node clusters via bootable ISO, a one-line install, or container images. It is also available hosted on a partner Neocloud with GPU capacity, requiring no installation.

Core features include EC2-compatible compute, S3-compatible object storage, EBS-compatible block storage with snapshots and replication, VPC networking, IAM policy enforcement, Kubernetes, container registry and scheduling, load balancers, and managed databases. Existing AWS workloads migrate by changing only the endpoint URL, with no code rewrite needed.

Spinifex operates fully air-gapped with no dependency on external networks or cloud control planes, keeping data within operator-chosen jurisdictions. GPU passthrough supports AI inference, vision pipelines, and signals analysis at near-native performance. NVIDIA MIG partitioning allows one GPU to serve multiple workloads.

Support is available through the open-source community and commercial licensing options.
