> Toby is a food cost and margin app for independent restaurants, bars, cafés and bakeries in France, made by a restaurant owner. Photograph or upload a supplier invoice: Toby reads each line (product, pack size, price) and updates your ingredient prices, with the source kept and every price correctable. Your recipes, prep recipes and set menus are costed with those prices: cost per portion, food cost percentage, margin and the minimum selling price that meets your margin target, set by menu category. A dashboard tracks your purchase prices over 30 days, flags rises of 5% or more that push recipes below target (margin before and after), and ranks your best and worst recipes. Share a recipe with your team (kitchen view without costs, or with costs) or your menu as Instagram, Facebook and Google Maps images. Web, iPhone and Android. Toby is free: the whole app, no payment card. Toby does not do stock, inventory, supplier orders, production planning or allergen charts, and does not replace your accountant.
