# Energy Register

Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.co.nz/software/773150/Energy-Register

> Energy Register is for facilities, energy and ESG managers who look after energy supply across many sites and must report on it.

The problem: the facilities spreadsheet holds the sites, meters and contracts. What it does not hold is the reading: which supply points can take part in a demand response or storage programme, which reported figure each meter and tariff can support, which contract ends before the next reporting period, and which clause an auditor will open first. Energy Register produces that reading from your own rows.

How it works:
1. Paste one supply point per line: Site, Country, Supply, Meter, Tariff, Annual kWh, Supplier, Contract end, Generation, Storage, EV charging, Owner. A header row, pipes, tabs, commas or a facilities register export all work, and a site may appear on several lines, one per supply.
2. Each line is placed on one of thirty published site classes in six families and eight supply types. A line nothing matches is marked unrecognised, with three questions that would place it.
3. The meter (four types) and tariff (eight types) are read from the words on the line. An interval meter supports an interval-data programme and a location-based inventory; an accumulation meter supports neither. Time-of-use, demand-charge and pass-through tariffs pay for flexibility; fixed and flat tariffs do not.
4. Tick the regimes that apply: AASB S2, ISO 22301, ISO 14001, ISO 14064-1 and ISO 50001. With none ticked, ISO 50001 and ISO 14064-1 are read. The GHG Protocol, the CSRD, the EPBD and the SEC climate rule are shown as named references.

What you take away: per line, the supply and meter, the tariff, the kWh as pasted, the duty with its clause and findings such as no sub-metering, no baseline, green tariff with no certificate named, unmetered standby generation and contracts ending inside twelve months. On paid plans you also get exports: eligibility by programme, a reporting matrix, a summary for the auditor and one for the board.

What it does not do: it never computes an emissions figure and does not grade a site, a supplier or a tariff. A finding is an expectation the held text sets, named with its clause, not a ruling.

Data handling: the register runs in your browser and nothing you paste leaves the page unless you save it.

Pricing: the free plan lets you try it without a sign-in, eight supply points at a time. Paid plans: Solo, for one person, costs USD 29 monthly; Team, covering everyone in the organisation, costs USD 99 monthly.
