The #1 Business Management Solution Worldwide.
Pros
Odoo’s greatest strength lies in its ability to integrate everything a business might need—whether it’s a small, medium, or large enterprise—into one unified platform. Many applications aim to deliver this concept, but Odoo stands out as the best and most effective in achieving it. It truly is "everything in one place."
Odoo keeps up with market trends and requirements by offering regular and consistent updates that ensure compatibility with evolving business needs.
For example:
Need a website for your business? It’s available.
Want an online store for e-commerce? It’s included.
Require an inventory management system? It’s there.
Looking for sales and purchase management? It’s ready.
Need tools for real estate, rentals, or subscription management? It’s built-in.
With over 70 applications, Odoo caters to nearly every industry in the world, including:
Supermarkets
Legal services
Construction companies
Restaurants and cafes
Engineering firms
Bakeries
Subscription-based software businesses
Training institutes
Salons
Real estate agencies
Clothing stores
Libraries
Fitness clubs
Non-profit organizations
…and many more sectors, covering every aspect and requirement a business might have.
Additionally, Odoo offers flexibility for customization—from adding custom fields and tables to integrating seamlessly with other systems. Its automation features streamline operations, making workflows faster, easier, and less labor-intensive.
While it’s impossible to highlight all of Odoo’s advantages in one review, I firmly believe that Odoo is well on its way to becoming the #1 business management solution worldwide.

Odoo Community Version
The experience is very good considering it's free and Open Source. For small to medium businesses it can do what is needed right out of the box. Be prepared to pay for third-party apps and support once in a while.
Pros
The features available in the Community Edition are mostly enough for what we need to do and is standardises processes across the board. We can then sell other small business work for configuring their own since we use it too. A lot of the business functions and processes are already built in, it is just a matter of activating the module you need and then configure it. The e-commerce feature is the simplest I have used, almost anyone can create products because it was built from a layman's perspective. The community is vibrant and helps with some issues if you have them. You might have to pay a partner for support and added functionality which is mostly once off. For a fraction of the cost, there is no worry of licence renewals just hosting fees.
Cons
Some functionalities which are basic in alternatives are not available even in the cloud version. You need to test third-party apps yourself which you might not have the time for and can break current functionality. Not all issues are addressed in the forums if it is not a common issue; a lot of issues are still open from previous versions. The official documentation is sometimes shallow.

Great ERP on a budget.
It is way better than our last ERP provider. Odoo can be a bit rough around the edges, but they are always making improvements and do take the time to not only add new features, but clean up rough edges.
Pros
You get a lot of functionality for the price.
Cons
While the support is sometimes lackluster, I was prompted to write this review because of great support I received.
Reasons for Choosing Odoo
Dropped their eCommerce offering. We paid nearly $30k to only have it operational 18 months. They had no replacement at the time. It would have killed our business if we had not found Odoo.Switched From

Good service made better by excellent support
Overwhelming at first, ok ressources but mainly excellent support for questions that I was unable to find an answer to searching the knowledge base.
Pros
Very good and support team, mostly excellent configurability, wide range of functionality and modularity is great.
Cons
Price of license with odoo.sh
Especially for small and one-person companies like mine odoo.sh is prohibitively expensive.
I only need one license for myself. odoo.sh de facto triples the license price for a single user account.
I would love the many customization options that are only available with odoo.sh but there simply is no way I can justify such a major cost increase.
For companies with 5 or more users, odoo.sh is less of an issue and at 10+ it starts to become a negligible increase.
I would love to see a hosting price that starts a lot lower for odoo.sh if the account uses only one license or maybe a staggered hosting price for 1-5 licenses.
I would be totally happy with a Server that has more limitations or one that is heavily overbooked with single user accounts, since the chance more than a tiny fraction is active at the same time is negligible.
Reasons for Switching to Odoo
As general IT-Support Consultant and IT-Outsourcing provider I got in contact with local ODOO partner QMedia and decided to add ODOO as part of my portfolio of recommendations for my customers. As such it was logical to choose ODOO for my setup too, so I can provide more detailed Information in case one of my customers is interested in using your service.- Industry: Real Estate

Driving Success: IT Implementation for Small Businesses with Odoo
After a year of collaborating with doo.finance as a partner in Luxembourg, we decided to migrate the IT systems of a multi-company Spanish real estate family office to Odoo. The learning curve has been quick, and the implementation process has been remarkably smooth. We’re now addressing long-standing demands that were previously too costly to resolve with our former system. Thanks to Odoo's all-inclusive approach, we’re effectively covering numerous areas that had been poorly managed in the past.
Pros
A wide range of features that easily adapt to various types of businesses, offering fast implementation, excellent performance, and outstanding support service.
Cons
It offers such a vast array of features that migrating multiple applications into a single solution can feel overwhelming at times. However, I believe it's well worth the effort.

Could be the best but hard to understand
I have been extremely excited discovering odoo but do run into roadblocks all the time, which can't be solved without a developer. I currently can't afford one which leads to a half baked implementation. Everything about Odoo sounds simple but turns difficult very fast.
Pros
Modularity and availability of applications covering a wide range of business functions.
Cons
- Difficult to achieve anything that is slightly out of "Odoos way of doing things"
- Workflows, as envisioned by the product develepors, are poorly documented. Videos cover how to use the product but not the underlying philosophy/workflow.
- Support is hit and miss, sometimes good, sometimes useless.
- for a small start up, success packages are very expensive. Some "simple" changes can't be done without hiring a developer.

Capable but complex software
After 2 years, I feel really comfortable with the software for daily tasks. However, I am still learning how to get more results out of the same software.
Pros
There are a ton of features, more than I would think about any business can make use of, all for an affordable monthly subscription. There are a lot of ways to customize the software to work for your business and improve workflows, and many connectors available for connecting to external API's (my most used one is UPS)
Cons
The huge variety of apps available and extensive options makes it pretty difficult for a beginner to dive in, DIY style. They offer success packs to get you up and going, but they're really expensive (personal subjective opinion, I guess). The free support included with the online subscription is pretty good, and there's some videos online that might get you started, but it'll be a bit of work getting going.

Pros
Very user-friendly, the next-gen of ERPs, cost-effective regarding the development, all-in-one software that automates all business processes like CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Sales, Manufacturing, Ticketing system, Accounting/Finance & many others, with more than 3000 specialized business apps on it is Apps market place.
Cons
The partner's qualification process, releasing a new version every year may cause difficulties in migration from version to version but it is fit for SMEs. Still, big enterprises need a lot of work to re-engineer the process to match the customers' needs.

feedback after 8 months
Odoo is reliable, still fast with a lot of data (lines and scans), granting to have an overall management of data, documents and spreadsheets... - very impressive and enjoyable
Still evolving in a good way
It lacks a backup local solution, with full access (all modules) even if it's a read-only edition
Pros
Great possibilities included into Odoo (autocompletion, AI to scan accountancy, documents and data together, bank reconciliation, asset's management, contacts, duplicate detection, seamless year and processes...)
All in one solution
Odoo still evolves every 2 months and user's feedback are also in sight
More customers and suppliers adopt also Odoo
AppStore
Cons
Customized developpment and/or local hosting : fees way too high and too often
Online documentation help isn't enough updated (but there are a lot of updated tutorial videos)
Importing data isn't very predictable - no documentation about name of recognized columns
Export-Import (Odoo to Odoo only) to handle mass data, isn't as easy as teached
Some tickets are way too long to be solved (few weeks since the first chat) - and some consultants try to force new sales
SMS, VoIP, SIP : fees aren't reasonable ; other inApp services seem not at a fair price
No temporary user with read-only default profile (as for inspection - control, like for 2-3 months a year)
Currencies (realtime and historical) data, VAT chekcs... shall be centralized into an Odoo buffer for all customers

Great software - even better support and community
Great. We are replacing several different, un-connected systems with one system that integrates everything, and allows us to tailor each instance specifically to the needs of each of our businesses.
Pros
The flexibility of the system allows us to tailor it to the needs of each of our businesses. And the support is AMAZING!
Cons

Terrible experience with Odoo and locked into 3 year contract
The implementation process is terrible, and Odoo being newer and less used in the US means their support and staff really do not know much about the system. You are paying them to learn with you, and there is no way to talk to the people that might know the system. It seems all of their developers are overseas, so timing is a real issue. We were told our implementation would be complete by the end of January, and we are in July now and still none of out inventory stays in sync on any of out platforms.(Amazon, eBay and WooCommerce). No one at Odoo can figure out why. One of the support techs told me they do not know much about setting up eBay and showed me what they found about it when the googled the issue. Not very comforting. We have been overselling on our platforms, and that is a very bad thing as am Amazon and eBay seller. We can't get them to prioritize us and get the issues resolved. We were told by our sales consultant and his manager that we would be getting a refund of 100% of the implementation costs, and we have this in email from them. We have still not received this and it is 3 months later. They will no longer even respond to questions about the refund. We are locked into a 3 year, very expensive contract with no hope at this point that the system will ever work for us. We are at the point where we fell we are just going to need to leave Odoo for a new system and it will be a huge loss and almost a year of lost time and resources. They absolutely do not care about their customers.
Pros
We liked the variety of apps Odoo had available for different business uses. We also liked that Odoo could keep our inventory in sync with all of our selling platforms, such as Amazon, eBay and WooCommerce. We also liked the cost, much less expensive than Netsuite. Please see our overall comments below for the after sales call and contract signing.
Cons
Lack of customization of reports without paying Odoo a lot of money to make the changes. Very few report overall. Hard to pull your data from the system due to different application working together.

Didn't want to manage it for them.
But I quickly understood thant couldn't manage the entire process without a long training.
You should provite "simplified worklfow".
Pros
Service, easy to START a project, in a few minutes, with a few questions, you create a website that SEEMS to fit your needs.
Response time of the web interface is really great, that convinced me to use it.
The feeling is good at first sight .. but ...
Cons
Then when you start to dig into the details, it's really hard to setup it.
Absolutely not user friendly. Some Workflox / UX designs are juste ... horrible.
Setup is spread everywhere in different Apps.

Only "developer" oriented (I'm a developer)
Online documentation is a mess. Seems to be great but is always partally translated (in FR), resulting in "Frenchglish" documentation.

Thank you [sensitive content hidden]
My overall experience with Odoo has been positive. I’m very happy with the results and progress we’ve made using the platform—it’s everything we wanted and even exceeds our expectations in some areas. However, there are times when the system can be a bit confusing and repetitive, which can slow down our workflow. Despite these occasional challenges, Odoo has been a valuable tool for our business, and we’re pleased with the direction we’re headed.
Pros
What I liked most about Odoo is the system's adaptability—it’s incredibly versatile and can be tailored to fit our specific needs. I also want to highlight the outstanding service we received from our consultant, [sensitive content hidden] He’s been extremely attentive and helpful throughout the entire process, making sure we get the most out of the platform.
Cons
What I liked least about Odoo is the way consulting hours are charged and accounted for. We’re concerned about being billed for time spent resolving issues that aren’t our fault, such as bugs or errors within Odoo itself. It would be more reassuring if there was a clearer distinction between time spent on genuine consulting and time spent addressing system-related problems.

Best flexible, scalable, and cost-effective all-in-one ERP
Pros
Odoo provides a flexible, scalable, and cost-effective ERP solution that suits a wide range of business needs. Its modular approach, open-source nature, user-friendliness, and support make it an attractive choice, particularly for small and mid-sized businesses looking to streamline their operations without the high costs of traditional ERP systems.
Cons
Odoo open-source and modular nature brings potential downsides, especially for businesses needing deep customizations, reliable third-party app compatibility, or a system optimized for large-scale operations. Initial setup, custom development, and ongoing support costs should be carefully considered.
