15Five is a great tool for establishing employee connection, feedback and appraisal.
15Five was a great tool to leverage in establishing employee communication and reviews. The tool served its purpose to a huge value and ensured that the investment on the tool was worth it.
Pros
15Five helped us with establishing employee's connection not only during virtual period of work but also during physical work hours. The periodic inputs and feedback on 15Five enable the key areas of focus and the next immediate steps to be done by the employee. There are auto notifications when there is any update on it to the linked email.
Cons
At times, there is no clarity on the update made and a bit tough to locate the exact area.

Best Tool for Goal Tracking & Feedback
I use 15five to fill out a weekly survive for my manager to review and then on the flip side for me to review my strategist's check in. We use it to see overall vibe, priorities, and check in on goals and objectives.
Pros
Makes it really easy to track my own goals and progress as well as across the team. Super helpful format to have check ins with my mentee.
Cons
The interface isn't the most intuitive at times and I have to click around to get to where I want to go

Some useful features--but be prepared to be nickeled and dimed!
We know that 15Five can easily prorate their charges based on usage because they will do so whenever it suits their interests. However, if you ask them to prorate your usage based on needing to pause 15Five, they will say that it is impossible. They will point to some fine print in their contract. When you consult the contract, the said fine print is actually not there. They will then find a separate fine print contract linked somewhere in their terms. I don't think their greed is actually legal based on principles of contract law, but I don't have the energy to fight their nickel and diming. This is just not the kind of ethics and company principles that you want to work with. I wouldn't touch them with a ten-foot pole.
Pros
Some of the features were useful, such as the weekly check-in with customizable questions.
Cons
15Five's customer service was very poor. If you so much as add a single additional employee for a single day, they will bill you immediately. If you seek to put a hiatus on using 15Five services, they will NEVER refund or credit or work with you in any way.

15Five will give some great insights!
Very good and easy to work with, dashboards and department data are easy to navigate, and gives us solid conclusions to help improve our HR dept and business
Pros
I like the data you get from 15Five, and the consistency of the questions to get significant data to make business decisions over time.
Cons
I don't feel like it does an amazing job of adapting to the different sizes of departments. Feel like the data works great for larger departments, but harder to get reliable conclusions from smaller departments in our business.

Keeping up with employee concerns in vet medicine
Pros
I like having a more private way to share feedback and how I'm feeling at work.
Cons
Occasionally I'll answer a question and it will require me to enter a second answer before I can submit my check-in.

15five is a great employee engagement tool
Pros

15Five to stay Alive
I use 15Five weekly and qtrly as check-ins with my team and manager. I submit employee pulse reviews, I engage with other team members in the office through high fives and show recognition where due.
Pros
I love how easy it is to use and navigate. It helps to keep track of meetings and notes so that we have a reference point for performance.
Cons
15Five does not seem to lack much when it comes to features and use. I don't think there are any cons I could share at this moment.

A great tool for exploring the right ideas and getting everyone involved in decision-making
With 15Five, we were able to make the workflow and update tasks very smooth, and we were able to manage the weekly, monthly, and yearly functional goals more easily than ever before, and the evaluation became based on clear goals and complied with a number of specific controls, which effectively helped us to improve ourselves. Enables management to get a better perception of allocating tasks effectively.
Pros
15Five helps my colleagues and I collaborate with our line manager in creating goals, reviewing plans, and solving problems, and our 1:1 job helps us do this smoothly. It's great that we can instantly recognize each other's efforts with the all-encompassing display board that all departments can see. 15Five makes it fun to set and track your weekly list of goals, and continuous alerts help you review progress and take timely corrective action. Surveys, which are customized to each team's needs, help make sure everyone understands the new policies and procedures. It is also wonderful that 15Five has enabled management, through reports and distinctive dashboards, to conduct reviews and evaluate performance based on accurate data, which greatly enhances transparency.
Cons
I didn't find any complications in 15Five's functions; I just needed time to understand how to use it correctly, and the support I received helped clarify everything.

My Review of 15Five for Employee Performance Management
I would recommend 15Five to other managers looking for an effective tool for managing employee performance. While there are some limitations, the platform offers a wide range of features and has helped me improve communication and productivity at my company.
Pros
The software provides an easy-to-use interface for managers and employees to track progress, set goals, and give and receive feedback. The weekly check-in feature is particularly useful, as it encourages regular communication and helps me stay on top of employee progress. Additionally, the platform integrates with other HR software, which helps me manage all of my HR tasks in one place.
Cons
While the software is generally easy to use, there can be some confusion around the different types of feedback and goals that can be set. Additionally, the software can be slow to load at times, which can be frustrating when I am trying to quickly access information.

15Five
As said before overall the experience was good, but it was missing on the ROI we'd like.
Pros
Our experience with the program was positive. The team really liked the ability to recognize each other every week.
Cons
The questions get really repetitive and overall, we can use other free platforms to accomplish the same thing.

15Five - User, Reporting & Management Perspectives
User: A quick and easy way to provide feedback to management.
Reporting: Easy to generate reports that clearly show how staff are feeling, and who is making a difference for other staff.
Management: Productivity is linked to how staff are feeling, and 15Five quickly and regularly captures this information. This allows us to address any issues before they become a big problem and cost us too much in lost productivity. Also finding time to sit down with every staff member every week to get their feedback is nearly impossible. 15Five solves this problem by being online and therefore able to be completed and reviewed from anywhere and at any time.
Pros
User: A great tool for giving a quick update on my tasks and projects at the end of each week. Its like a log of my activity, challenges, decisions and outcomes. It is also a good place to raise any concerns & issues. Being online means I can complete my weekly update from anywhere, and at any time.
Reporting: The API is brilliant. We have used the API to generate our own reports for senior management and staff that track how we are feeling as a company, the 'High Fives', and how everyone is going with their weekly 15Five feedback.
Management: Senior management can quickly get an indication of how all staff are feeling, how all staff are getting on with their work, and who is making a difference for other staff. It also makes it easy to get regular feedback, and that feedback was very useful for annual reviews.
Cons
User: The software is very good at 'one-on-one' feedback, but most of us work as part of a team and this is perhaps one area that 15Five could develop further.
Reporting: Would be useful to have Tags that we can assign for tasks and projects so that we can link them with our timesheet software to capture effort etc.
Management: Would be useful to have sentiment analysis for comments on tasks and projects so that we could quickly identify strongly negative and positive comments.

Pros

Was subjected to this - bleh!
I was forced to use this for a while at a previous job and found that it interrupted my workflow, wasted my time, and was generally a nuisance.
Pros
I'm not going to lie, I hated using this software. It facilitates the kind of micro managing, having meetings about meetings style of working within a team that I hate about non-profit life, and am glad to have left behind.
Cons
I just never got anything valuable from using this software. I don't understand the need for it, and I found using it to be a giant waste of time.
Response from 15Five
Hey, Tyler!
Thanks for taking time to share your feedback with 15Five - we really appreciate it.
I'm truly sorry to hear you didn't have a positive experience with our platform. We certainly don't advocate for a culture of micro-management; rather, we want to help organizations help their people become their best selves.
I would love to speak with you to understand how we could have made your experience, and in turn every 15Five-er's experience, better.
Would you be open to having a conversation about this? If so, please share your availability and preferred method for me to contact you.

Keeps me in the loop...
My experience has been nothing but positive, as a small company we've used many softwares to manage our staff, projects, etc. and 15Five is one of the few that has stuck over time. We love that we can High Five people for big and small things. Our team is made up of many "word" loving members, and it's great to put that praise in writing each week in addition to the face to face "thank you's". Their team is also made up of some really incredible and professional people, there to help you along the way if you encounter any issues!
I recommend 15Five to other companies several times a month.
Pros
The thing I love the most about 15Five is that I feel in the loop without micromanaging my staff. I can easily pull up their account and see what tasks they're working to accomplish that week, hold them accountable without being in their face, and praise their efforts, all in one place!
Cons
I do wish there were more automated question selections that populated.

I use this platform at least once a week and I must say it's a great way to keep people...
Connection with people that you would typically not be able to communicate with being that there is no department cross over or something of this nature. A simple way to stay connected to your management as well, while also helping to survey the company constantly so management can find problems in training or managers that are making employees quit.
Pros
The ability for management to take a temperature check of how the team is doing and or feeling is really valuable. (I do not know what the cost of this software is however) It also helps people high five each other when ever they want to give their friends/co-workers a simple & quick compliment which is really good for building comradery.
Cons
I think that if it is a mandatory tool to use every day it can become more of a annoying tool rather than a helpful one. Once or twice a week will suffice.

Unique tool for keeping a pulse on employee engagement
Good experience and am interested to see where they go from here.
Pros
The many different ways you can nudge employees to enjoy and benefit from working together. From giving high fives to anyone in the company, to the weekly check on how employees are feeling, to asking targeted questions, all of these help to figure out how my team is doing and feeling. To make things even easier, we wrote an integration with Slack to make it even easier to give high fives. High fives are a nice way of encouraging team members to help each other, we tabulate all the high fives collected and distribute prizes accordingly. The 1 on 1 planning feature was also useful, it helped to focus the 1 on 1 conversation into a way of measure progress against key OKRs.
Cons
While 15five works well for specific use cases, it would be better served as part of a total HR solution. In the end, we found that the pricing was too expensive as our organization grew and budgets got tighter. It doesn't handle any core HR functions so it was hard to justify. I would love to see it become more integrated and attached with broader HR solutions.

I get to easily track my work.
Pros
Ability to list my tasks and goals for the new week ahead of time ; while also reserving the choice to add tasks as I finish them. This option is very important for effectively tracking task and completing goals .
It has an intuitive user interface and I am allowed to freely customize how I receive my notifications.
Cons
There were weeks where I successfully completed my tasks and had no complaints , yet I was unable to submit my form until I had to report an issue or complaint ,which was non-existent ; just to enable me submit the form.

Great employee engagement tool
Since introducing this employee engagement and feedback has greatly improved.
Pros
We use 15Fives as part of our employee management tools as we consult on client sites away from office alot. Many times our resources are not physically with managers for updates and reviews. 15Fives provides a great way to communicate and stay of top of items and tasks. Objectives are also very useful to manage KPI and larger tasks for company and personal growth.
Cons
Not many options for delegating duties/access to multiple levels of admin/management.

15Five takes more than 15five to complete!
I absoluately love the concept of 15five. In my head it sounds great - you update your manager, takes 15 minutes of your time, your manager can comment and you can always be synced! It definitely provides another channel of communication with your manager which is very useful. My manager and I would use it guide our 1:1 meetings by creating a list of topics we want to discuss which was good.
I think the interface and user experience is great for the tool!
The problem i found with 15five were the following:
- It usually took way more than 15 minutes for me to complete my review! The questions we set up were open ended so in order to add detail and value to it I really had to take time to think about what i wanted to write and say.
-the questions are repetitive. Which they do offer you to change your questions - but it seems like a lot of work to do on a weekly basis.
-questions should be rotated
-Questions should be more quantitative for example rate 1-10 how are you are feeling etc...
- I don't know how much value our managers actually got out of 15five. It worked for some teams/groups and it didn't for others.
Their customer service is excellent and we even met with their team 1-2 times a year to discuss how we can make our usage better. Overall it was a good tool that we used, but I think overtime we just grew out of it.
Response from 15Five
Shivani! Wow so grateful for the review. Thanks for your candid feedback.
I totally hear where you are coming from on the "time suck". We've come have some new features to help address these issues:
-First let's look at deactivating repetitive questions. That will cut down on the time it takes to fill out your 15Five. Click the little pencil icon next to the duplicate question and click "deactivate". A simple change that will go a long way for everyone!
-We have a Question Queue that will help you save time managing questions. It's an auto rotation of questions so they are kept fresh from week to week without the manual labor.
-We have metrics for quantitative questions! Results are pulled into dashboards so you can get a quick glance on any topic you want to measure.
I'll reach out separately to be sure I've taken care of all your concerns. Hope this is helpful! Thank you again for the review!

Great product..going to get even better
Pros
It's intuitive, heading in the right direction on how 1:1, feedback and performance reviews should happen. They are continuing to build on the product and releasing new features regularly. I didn't find many products like 15Five.
Cons
There are still some bugs however their customer support team is absolutely outstanding. Some of the workflows can be a bit confusing (1:1 under 'my teams') however it sounds like these are being figured out. No Android app functionality at this time.
Response from 15Five
Amy,
Thank you very much for writing this review! We value every single piece of feedback. I'll be sure to let our support team know about your message. They'll be delighted to hear it :)
Speaking to your point about where 1:1's live I understand it's clunky to find that now. We are building a 1:1 tab completely on its own at the top. Coming soon!
Hoping to release an android app in 2018. Thanks for bearing with us :)
Just want to thank you for the candid review. We appreciate it! Let us know if you have any other feedback.
Sincerely,
Priscilla Zorrilla
