Articulate 360 is undoubtedly the best among e-learning authoring tools
Despite some shortcomings, it is undoubtedly the best among e-learning authoring tools.
I believe that the pricing for the recently launched AI assistant feature is reasonable compared to the functions it offers.
Pros
Even non-developers can unleash their creativity to create e-learning content.
The interface is similar to MS PowerPoint, making it easy and quick for anyone to learn.
By using the software, users can develop logical thinking through the trigger wizard.
Cons
It is not compatible with MacBooks; a virtual machine is required to use it on a Mac.
The speed of the created content is not very fast and feels somewhat heavy.
As a Korean, I find that support for the Korean language is lacking in areas such as text input, font compatibility, and TTS provision.

An excellent package for learners and experienced IDs
It's an excellent package, combining a Cloud app (Rise) with a desktop app (Storyline) and using Review as a handy tool to share with reviewers.
Pros
The incorporation of Rise, a rapid and simple content creation tool has enabled me to create almost instant courses with little effort, which frees me up to do more sophisticated interactions in Storyline and incorporate them into the training courses.
Cons
Rise does not have image descriptors, making it impossible to match images in courses without guessing the search term and hunting through pages of images. It can also be extremely slow to e.g. save block templates or move between courses.

Excellent eLearning Authoring Tools
Overall I have a very positive experience using Articulate 360. I use Storyline or Rise almost every day and find the software to be reliable and it empowers me to deliver the majority of what my clients ask for.
Pros
I like that Articulate 360 provides access to both Articulate Storyline and Rise, which enables me to develop eLearning content to suit a wide range of budgets.
Cons
It is difficult to think of any serious negatives that have cropped up during my use of Articulate 360. If I was to ask for one improvement I think I'd ask for reverse transitions to be added as a feature, so that when one of my learners clicks back on a screen, the animation reflects that they are moving backwards through the course.

Articulate 360 makes creating e-learning easy
Overall Articulate 360 has been a great tool in helping us grow our e learning functionality in the business with ease. Modules look polished with minimal effort
Pros
It makes it really easy to create your own e-learning modules. The premade interactive elements like quizzes, card sorts etc make it really easy to turn your content into interactive training
Cons
The pre-made course templates are hard to find and hard to navigate to see what is available. If you want to build of an existing course it is quite hard to find some that you need as there isnt an easy search function and the categories are hard to follow

Easy and engaging course creation
Pros
Easy to build and create content
Good stock image library to choose from

Truly the best authoring tools!
Storyline is incredibly easy to learn. If you want to do something, you can always find a way to make it happen in Storyline. I credit the training I have created to being able to have access to this tool.
Pros
Articulate 360 suite has all of the tools I need to create the best e-learning possible and then some. It's intuitive to figure things out and takes very little time for a new user to learn.
One feature I recently discovered and now LOVE, is the translation function. One simple button allows me to print out a word document to send out for translation. Once the translator updates the word document, I just upload it back into the training and within minutes, the entire course content is translated; all on-screen text, notes text, buttons, everything. It places the text right where it needs to be with all the same font settings. Even better is the text to speech functionality allows you to insert audio in many languages and dialects with closed captioning. Great for companies that need training in multiple languages.
Cons
I really cannot think of anything that I dislike about this software.
Reasons for Switching to Articulate 360
Before purchasing, I compared Articulate 360 to Adobe Captivate. In this comparison, I can honestly say there were more features in Articulate 360 than Captivate and where both had the same feature most of them were more advanced and easier to use in Storyline. A huge bonus for me was Rise. For the last year I really overlooked this feature. After trying this part of the Suite, I love it! It makes simple training easy to create and easy for learners to get it. The product comes out beautifully and the feedback from learners has been exceptional. This comparison seems to be a common one that I have seen over the years. While Storyline may have limitations years ago, they have truly listened to customers and continued to develop new features and enhance features as well. Captivate really has had very few changes in the last few years and seems like they are being pushed out of the authoring tool market by Articulate and others.- Industry: E-Learning

An e-learning must!
We realized that Articulate 360 includes a wide range of tools that helps us create content for our virtual courses. We can have PowerPoints with interactive elements and audio integrated, we can have a Rise course, self paced, in which the student gets a very contemporary look and variety of media that illustrates the information. Engage makes easy interactions to navigate through information. Storyline is just... amazing, it gets so much done, it has endless possibilities. We love this products.
Pros
Articulate Storyline is the one we use and like the most. It's easy to start producing e-learning content thanks to the familiarity the interface has in regards to PowerPoint. One can easily find and edit anything they might need.
Cons
There are some things that need to be researched to get done on software and that they get discussed on Articulate's forum. I wish they added new features often, with more updates. For example, there's no specific "timer" option on evaluations. This could easily be added, but it has to be programmed. That's the way I've gotten around to having that done, at least.

Easier use, variety of tools integrated to 360, compatibility with our platforms, quality in the publication of courses.- Industry: Telecommunications

My bread and butter Elearning package
Overall, it's been great. Our whole training program now relies on Articulate. I could craft courses with Powepoint, and the embedded functionality of the LMS, or use another package but it would take longer and the end product wouldn't be as good. Their support is really good, and even though I've had issues from time to time, We've managed either a workaround or a fix fairly quickly.
Pros
It's very easy to use, almost intuitive. Basically, if you understand how to use powerpoint, you'll be very comfortable with this software. It has a lot of built-in functionality, as compared to Captivate. You can publish nice courses with little effort. Put some effort to learn it's advanced features, and you can craft stunning courses. I've used this since version 1, and Studio before that. It gets better and better.
They have a great, useful user forum, and attentive support.
Cons
I've had a couple instances where upgrades broke our lessons, the most recent being with Update 6. It was crashing the lessons if there was a quiz or survey. It was a SCORM issue. Our LMS toes the line, hard, on SCORM and the incompatibility caused me misery. I had to revert. Previous to that, upgrading courses from version 2 to version 3 caused the LMS to stop tracking and send warnings. The solution ended up being not to upgrade, but import the content in a new course. Not totally Articulate's fault, but rather a compatibility issue.

Adobe CaptivateReasons for Switching to Articulate 360
Cost and Functionality. When we first transitioned to eLearning we used Articulate Online. We liked the fact that the software and LMS worked together. The pricing for both was pretty attractive. That said, we started with Articulate Studio, so it made sense to stay with Articulate. Storyline was still more attractive - both price and functionality than the competition.- Industry: E-Learning

Best e-learning software
Best e-learning software i have work with
Pros
Ease of use, very complete, good support, vast library, continuous updates, several Scorm formats, simple and organized programming interface, 360 image.
Cons
Breaks when use many triggers (especially on Objects interseptions), still not well prepared for gamification, some bugs (minor things, all softwares have), not content responsive (although it's window responsive), few effects.
Reasons for Switching to Articulate 360
Firstly because powerpoint compatible, but later found out many other advantages - ease of use, very complete, vast library.- Industry: Automotive

Articulate Storyline 3
Really good I did switch to captivate 17 when I left Storyline 2 but found that much more difficult to use, so went back to Storyline and got version 3. Great product but perhaps because it was familiar to me as opposed to Captivate.
Pros
I use the standalone Storyline 3 having upgraded from version 2 - whilst this would come as part of 360 it proves more cost-effective to buy the product once rather than a never-ending monthly subscription just to get access to features that we can create ourselves.
Cons
That there is no spell checker within the subtitle option to videos and audio. Have to cut and paste into another product to check sometimes.

Great for courses
Overall, it's ahead of the curve. It's a great tool for online learning.
Pros
We use these for self-paced learning as well as guiding classes in-person. The courses allow you to track completion as well.
Cons
It can be a bit of a recipe in the sense that they start to look the same. Options are somewhat limited in terms of what you can actually do.

Storyline - A Love Hate Relationship
Storyline offers many features for beginning designers but is limiting for anyone planning on advancing to a serious learning developer. It is powerful enough so that if this is the only authoring tool you ever use, then you will not be disappointed. Storyline will get the job done, but if you are planning a purchase, do a through comparison of the major authoring tools and if possible, speak with an experienced developer for guidance.
Pros
Layers is one of the most powerful features of Storyline. An entire slide of content can be placed on another layer and manipulated with triggers. The ability to give objects multiple states helps in creating engaging content. The option to add a variety of sliders without programming is a nice bonus. Adding animation effects should come naturally to anyone with PowerPoint experience.
Cons
The interface that displays slides as tiles gets very confusing on a large project. The built-in player gets in the way and must be removed for custom projects. Creating master slides like in PowerPoint makes it difficult to inherit objects throughout the course. There is no access to individual files in a published course, so if one image changes you have to edit the course.

Excellent Software for e-Learning and Instructional Designers
Allows my organization to implement digital e-Learning to replace conventional instructor-led training, and allows Instructional Designers and Multimedia Developers to create custom gamification and HTML5 interactives to enrich training content and improve the learning journeys.
Pros
Allows to create e-Learning games and enrich training material with multiple HTML5 interactive features. Its Rise 360 feature for creating online courses meet the Agile work demand of our organization and its web-based interface is responsive and allows to create courses with simple drag & drops. On top of all of that, it offers plenty of templates.
Cons
It's lacking LMS functionalities, the scoring and reporting have limitations, the characters animation is a little bit static/lack movements, and no voice-overs options. Some JavaScript coding does not works well.

Articulate 360 is a great design product with limits.
This is an easy to use design software that is flexible enough to do a lot of really amazing things if you are creative. The various products within the 360 suite further expand the possibilities for learning design and delivery across multiple platforms. The communities associated are very responsive allowing me to engage with others using the product to expand my understanding of the capabilities and work through specific challenges that I encounter.
Pros
This is a great instructional design product that allows for seamless communication throughout the iterative process with all involved. The product makes designing online learning easy and opens up tons of possibilities for the creatively minded.
Cons
While there are many options and flexibility when it comes to adding in Java scripting, I have found that the support in this area is lacking. Also some simple and useful feature requests have been ignored across various versions despite long lists in the discussion forums requesting such logical feature upgrades. Other issues that I have with the product are really issues with SCORM which has its own limitations and issues.
