Good inventory tool
It makes it easy to have the entire inventory well detailed with the precise information without forgetting materials
Pros
There is physical inventory management and tracking that helps with the entire organization process, speeding up processes that could take a long time before and not have exact data. I can easily search for the data I need through the folders that are created with the exact inventory information
Cons
I like everything, there is nothing that I dislike in the past or in the present. Its functions have been perfect

Coffee Company’s Review
Overall we like Sortly. There are some features we would like added but Sortly is always offering new capabilities.
Pros
It has helped us cut down costs astronomically. We can move our stock between shops and cut down on ordering. We have been able to log loss of product, leave notes to our managers about stock, organize our vendors. It’s been great.
Cons
There isn’t a way to see what your inventory was on a certain date. For example we do a COGS adjustment at the end of each month to see how much inventory we’re sitting on. If I don’t pull the report on that date I can’t go back and look at my inventory in that point of time retrospectively.
I also wish it was clear that there was support to help set it up. I did it all manually and it was tough.

Eagle 1 Products Sortly Review
Sortly has helped my company grow and manage our inventory much better than when we first started. We have had Sortly for a long time, but only recently started using it to its full extent. I use Sortly to create QR codes for each individual product and its variation and attach them to magnets on our shelves where products are stored. This makes it very easy for my team to scan products in and out of inventory. I also use Sortly when ordering products from vendors by searching for low or out-of-stock tags. This has made our inventory and product ordering process more streamline. I do wish that there were more of the features I outlined previously, such as integrations and bulk editing.
Pros
I like how user-friendly the mobile app is for my employees when scanning in and out products. I also like how easy it is to create QR codes for multiple products, as well as the current bulk actions like adding tags, prices, etc. I also like the ability to add different users on one account so that I may have different devices set to scan products in my facility.
Cons
I do not like that there is no automatic integration feature to upload my inventory to different Sales Channels like Shopify, eBay, Amazon, Walmart, and Etsy. Manually importing and exporting data becomes tedious and time-consuming. I also do not like that I cannot track which of my employees are scanning products. I would prefer if Sortly would track and report the times and devices from which products are scanned, so that if something is incorrect I can address it directly. I think the navigation between product folders and variations could be more streamline with less clicks when navigating on a desk top. I also would like for there to be more bulk editing actions, like bulk editing SKUs and Manufacturer Part Numbers instead of individually clicking and editing each variation. That is insanely time consuming when our catalog is extensive.
Response from Sortly
Hi Carlee,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand your concerns regarding the lack of automatic integration, employee tracking, streamlined navigation, and bulk editing features.

Super user friendly inventory management system
cannot say enough good things about sortly. we were looking for an invenotry managment system for one of our smaller locations and this hit every mark we were hoping for. The ease of customizable fields and how easy it is to setup and delete anything that is no longer needed. I wish we found it sooner. It has made out inventory much more managable and easy to identify, because of those things we have been able to streamline and organize our small space much better and we no longer lose things or find random toys that we had forgotten about. The filtering in Sortly is wonderful and I love the reports to be able to see exactly where we stand. It helps me to make a better game plan for our upcoming sales or inventory needs.
Pros
I love that you can print the labels with whatever specifications you need. The photo option is fantastic. I like that is allows custom fields for things like expriy dates or theme names and IDs. There is so much customization within this software it is wonderful. Very easy to use. Ability to categorize items between different bins or locations.
Cons
manual setup, but that also comes with having things so customizable. I wish it integrated with Shopify better or Stalion shipping station.

Excellent Product for Small Companies
Pros
We use Sortly for our small construction business and we're able to get both our admin and build staff to use the system with ease. It's visually easy to understand which is imperative for staff members that need quick answers for where they can find their project material for construction. There are custom fields that allow us to build information our around our company needs instead of trying to fit into a premade product.
Cons
My only negative feedback about Sortly is the limited pricing options. They seem to have too large of a jump in options. We have a larger inventory but we do not need any additional features that are available in the next step up for cost. We are limited to 2,000 entries and we need, approximately 500-1,000 more. The next step up provides 8,000 more entries (10,000 total) but it is 300% more expensive per year. We cannot justify the cost as a small company but we would gladly pay 50% more just to add another 500-1,000 entries.

Quick to learn and easy to use
Sortly was easy to learn. It took me just moments to understand how to add and minus product with my phone. It’s simple and efficient.
Pros
I like that it’s an easy to use interface.

I wish it would connect to Shopify. Other than that there’s nothing to dislike.

Sortly User-Friendly Interface
Overall, I find it effective for organizing and tracking inventory due to its visual approach and ease of use.

Sortly, Inventory Management for every trade of businesses at accessible prices
It has help us get visibility from all departments around the world, manage and control better out spending and inventory. Makes work way easier to do without the paper waste, eliminates a lot of human error
Pros
Helps me keep track of my inventory, the location of it and gives me alerts whenever an item is about to expire, this helps us to be compliant with OSHA and ahead of our game, preventing injuries and/or sanctions. We were unable to keep track in the past and pen and paper wasn't cutting it with the number of employees we currently have, Sortly made it so easy and accessible to all our managers all around the US. Price is way more accessible than most places that offer inventory services that starts in the thousands.
Cons
It lacks instructional videos or easy access to assistance, sometimes you have to wait over 24 hrs for a response. Sortly has many uses and can be arrange in different ways depending on the kind of business you're running, you can add items, tools, equipment, personnel, vehicles, insurances, all kind of things, it should be hold back as an inventory tool only, seems you guys don't know what you created, and the potential it has to reach so many businesses. You should offer templates for startups, so we don't have to build from the ground up, seems you need to have a lot of time and creativity to get it going and to make it work.Report generating should be easier, sometime we run reports but we don't get the info we need, courses or videos abouty this sui

Helpful inventory management app that could use some "tweaks"
Pros
Sortly has made it extremely easy for me to track and order my inventory. I also appreciate the fact that their support team puts up with my many questions and responds in a timely manner. Very glad I started using Sortly!
Cons
The only gripe I really have with Sortly is the lack of integration with UPC scanning and desktop versions. "quick actions" are only reachable through the mobile version which is our main way we send, move, sell and receive items. Having a bluetooth scanner hooked up VIA wired (not bluetooth) would be a great addition to this application ( i feel i have most issues due to a bluetooth connection/ bluetooth scanner..my remedy would be using a usb cord from my POS UPC scanner which works much better but since these features are only available on the mobile version, there is no place for me to plug the usb in and the app just does not accept it wired). Other than that, sortly has been great.
Reasons for Switching to Sortly
The UPC scanning for mobile devices was the original reason I wanted to try Sortly.Response from Sortly

Great Addition!
We started with Sortly as a trial to see if it could easily and accurately track our inventory and also give us added features like visuals of the items and the option of generating a variety of reports. We did take our time with the transition to make sure we were comfortable with the new system. We worked on building our inventory in Sortly simultaneously while running our old system. We used the bulk import feature to add most of our inventory which was a plus. Overall the transition has been easy and is much better than what we were using. It is faster, accurate and user friendly. The search feature is excellent and the ability to easily generate a variety of reports is also extremely helpful. Overall I am very happy with Sortly!
Pros
The ability to search for a product multiple ways and upload pictures of the product. I also like being able to print a variety of reports and always seeing the total value of our inventory at a glance.
Cons
Not being able to list items in size order. There is also a lag time when updating quantities and adding photos.

Why Sortly Wins For Us...
It's been wonderful. I'm glad I did my due diligence and took the time to go over other products before realizing I didn't need to waste my time and money on others that had a bunch of features I wasn't going to need. While Sortly has features I can add on, as needed, I'm perfectly happy to be able to customize!
Pros
I spent a couple weeks going through various online trials and zoom meetings with companies showing me how their company was "top notch" in asset tracking, inventory control and all these other things. Turns out a lot of the other things were all the other things I didn't need... and the things I did need, were never included in any plans.
Sortly fit all I needed. It was perfect. It had the ability to customize and categorize the way I needed and I honestly haven't had an issue with it from the get-go. Set up was a breeze. We started out with handheld scanners, and have since upgraded to tablets, and the changeover was seamless.
Cons
I'm honestly trying to find something I like *least* about Sortly, and I have nothing. My team has zero complaints, and they use it daily.
Other than having to remind them to always use the same method of entry when entering a product (like typing the name in the same way...) - that's it. But that's a user issue, not a Sortly issue!

Easy to use and great for searches
We have been very happy with Sortly compared to our old system. It has been very helpful in keeping track of our thousand of different items.
Pros

Cons
Adding permissions of new folders has to be done for each person individually.

BEWARE, Annual Subscription Increases by 250%
Overall our experience has been good until the email we received 11 days prior to our subscription renewal. Sortly did not INITIALLY cost us as much as the other inventory solutions on the market so we overlooked a lot of the downfalls and lack of features. However, I wish we knew the rate had the potential to increase to $2,700 a year for a plan with 3,098 units.
I would recommend saving yourself the trouble and invest your time and money with a company that will grow with you and not increase your subscription at their own discretion.
Pros
Initial annual plan pricing.
However, 11 days before our annual renewal we received this message, "Sortly plans are being reconfigured based on your number of entries and usage patterns. On your renewal date, your account will be adjusted to the Sortly Enterprise plan, billed at $2,760 USD per year..." from $1,080 we paid for our first year.
We have 3,098 numbers of entries and the plan we have allows for 10,000 numbers of entires. We will not be receiving feature upgrades and after requesting further explanation for the significant rate increase we were told, "We are in the process of reconfiguring our plans." There is no way we could have known we would not qualify for our current plan.
If you are a home staging business Stageforce and StrangeDNA have comparable pricing and many more features in Sorty.
Cons
CAUTION the annual renewal rate is not as advertised!! After one year of use, we received an email stating that our price would increase to $2,750 for the next renewal (we initially paid $1,080 for the first year) for the exact same plan we have now.
The "Ultra Plan" with 10,000 units is currently being advertised as $708 per year. Be careful investing your time and money into this software. Once you have configured your business or needs around this company they could increase your subscription by 250% like they have with us.

Sortly for Hotel Inventory Management
We are not using all the features of Sortly by any means but has proven the perfect solution for what we need which is managing and controlling our inventory and ensuring we always have the stock we need on hand. I do think that the Advanced plan should have more than two users included.
Pros
We use Sortly to control our stock of amenities and supplies for rooms and it is a simple and straightforward tool for that purpose. It was easy to set up our inventory and the minimum level fields and tags make reordering straightforward and the price makes tracking the value of inventory very easy. Being able to upload a number of photos eliminates confusion over which item is which.
Cons
Only 2 users on the Advanced plan is not very generous compared to competitors. 5 would seem to be a fairer deal

Helpful but with quirks
Pros
I like the ability to scan and easily print QR codes.
Cons
That I cannot "undo" an action. That it is difficult for me to see Sortly history and to remember what went where and who moved it. I do not like that when moving an item into a folder, that the search cannot be specific- For example if I have the folder of "Jane Doe" in 12 different folders by month, and I want to move an item to "Jane Doe" in "July", I cannot search "Jane Doe July", I have to search "Jane Doe" and scroll through multiple "Jane Doe" entries to find her in "July".
I also think the bar code scanner in the app could be improved. When you are scanning within a folder, and at the top there is a note that tells you what folder you are "searching within" I wish there was an easy way to click that and change it to search in another folder, rather than going back and selecting the folder and then going back to the barcode search scanner. Also, when I am scanning and searching within a folder and I "add a quick action" and want to "Choose folder before scanning", when I go to search for the folder in the search bar the search bar page looks strange saying "nothing to see to see here" and the search bar looks different and for a while I didn't realize could still use it

All great but we have a mobile issue
Great, this app is amazing, almost 4 years ago i did a big research and you guys were the best by far. Thank you once again.
Pros
I´ve been using sortly for almost 4 years now, and it was a game changer to my company. I always give feedbacks because i know you guys always pay attention to them and through the years you have been always improving the app.
Cons
We struggle a bit with the mobile app and also I don´t know how to track sales. How to instead of moving to a folder that i call "sold items" i can actually press a button that says that it was sold? im asking this because i would love to have automatic reports instead of doing them by myself.
Response from Sortly
Hi André!
Thank you so much for sharing your positive review of Sortly and for being a longtime dedicated customer! We are thrilled to hear that our app has helped you stay organized and productive.
Regarding your concern about tracking sales, you could create a Tag for 'sold', tag your sold items, and then run a report on just those items with the tag 'sold'.

Sortly as an inventory system
Recently the response time on changes when using PC's has slowed down.
It seems to be faster on a phone app.
Easy to set up, easy to customize, access anywhere, all pluses.
Better / easier reporting would be great..
Example, how many of an item have I added / removed in a given time period.
Pros
Ease of use (intuitive) is at the top of the list.
Access from anywhere.
Cons
For an "Inventory Management" system, some reports are not created in the box that normally would go with this function..
We had the system for a year before there was a report that would indicate items that were actually BELOW indicated quantity level set. (previous reports showed AT or BELOW).
The report still does not indicate the difference between minimum level to actual level. I add a column to the outputted excel report to indicate that difference.
It is these types of items that are surprising to me that are not built in to an inventory system from the start.

The simple tool when you have nothing
For the most part this has been an enjoyable experience compared to other software I have used in the past. It is missing some of the reporting that I would find in other systems, but those cost 10-20 times as much.
Pros
It is a straight forward tool to use when you have a warehouse full of stuff, hodgepodge of records of what you have, and even less sure of what information you will need to track. The ability to add fields to records was extremely useful and the ability to mass edit and move items was extremely useful.
The mobile app has also been a plus. So when out in the warehouse and find an item we missed, entering it immediately is very helpful and the app is extremely simple to use.
Cons
Some times the entry or editing process can be a little painful. Much of what we need to enter is on the full detail page, so you have to enter the first detail and then click expand and then enter in the rest of the detail.
As well the search can be a little painful. Some products have a "-" while the box doesn't have it so if you are not exact with the entry you can miss that you have an item.

Straightforward and simple to use
It's been an incredibly helpful way for me to take on a rather intimidating project! It has helped me get things organized and I'm excited to continue exploring the different field and tag customizations to take our inventory management to the next level.
Pros
Sortly has allowed me to set up an inventory system that my company has been needing to help track different pieces in different locations. The folder option helps keep everything organized, and the ability to add photos is a great way for us to easily reference inventory as well as file any condition notes for the team.
Cons
Sometimes the search bar feels a little bit finicky and difficult to navigate. As our inventory uses a numerical system, it sometimes does not "read" this as an identifier.

Best Small Business Inventory Tool
Pros
Sortly is an excellent inventory management solution, offering a user-friendly interface and customizable fields to fit your specific needs. The mobile app enhances convenience with barcode and QR code scanning, which makes it super fast to count inventory without the need for more scanners. Cloud-based ensures real-time updates - making sure it is always up to date for everyone. Multi-user access with customizable permissions is excellent for having the entire team on the platform. Easily customizable reporting and analytics provide valuable insights for the entire team. It also generates QR codes - which work awesome when you don't have barcodes to use already. It also is very simple and easy to set up and use.
Cons
What we like the least is that the barcodes don't have the option to be generated to print on an 8.5 x 11 paper size - only label printer options. Also - you have to pay for a more pricey system if you want to be able to hide pricing.

Great Product - Would be Perfect With a Few Additions.
An invaluable tool, that saves us money by eliminating guess work when purchasing and ensuring cash is in the bank and not needlessly on our shelves.
Pros
Extremely user friendly interface, cost effective inventory manangement using either mobile phone, desktop or iPad. Puts Inventory management into all of our team members hands at a minimal cost.Makes purchasing stock efficiently a breeze with csutomisable PDF inventory reports, that make extremely good shopping lists.
Cons
Sortly is missing some features that would make it perfect for us. Great platform for inventory management
This has been a great experience for us. Huge upgrade from google sheets. The ability to see pics of items is helpful too
Pros
Easy to use. Easy to update. Live inventory helps our business platform.
Cons
I would like to be able to click on an item in the category and then see only that item shown. For example if we have 10 colors of an item they all appear in all sizes. It would be nice if i could click on the color code and then only that color would show
