> Poolside develops artificial intelligence systems designed to enhance work environments. Its platform is tailored for software development teams, engineering organizations, and government agencies that require advanced AI capabilities for coding and technical tasks. The company focuses on creating artificial general intelligence through open-weight foundation models.

The platform includes two models in the Laguna family. Laguna S 2.1 features 118 billion parameters, with 8 billion active parameters and a 1 million token context window. It is designed for reasoning tasks with an emphasis on quality, speed, and efficiency. Laguna XS 2.1 has 33 billion parameters, with 3 billion active parameters and a 256,000 token context window. It is a lightweight, fast coding model capable of running on-device. Both models are open-weight solutions.

The platform provides an interactive development environment called Pool. This environment supports software development tasks such as code fixing, API migrations, benchmark analysis, and testing workflows.

The system uses advanced training techniques, including GPU-to-GPU weight transfers, automated architecture ablations, and reinforcement learning from large-scale code execution. It incorporates NVIDIA Grace Blackwell technology with C2C activation offloading to improve throughput during model training. The platform also supports real-time agent connectivity and includes keyboard shortcuts for model selection and tool management within its interface.
