Hands Down Winner
Pros
ConstructionOnline's format and function are intuitive which helps me find what I need when I need it. It's easy to understand, but full of smart features that will help us to be excellent in our trade. Having a quality customer service experience, consistently, is also a huge reason I can trust that ConstructionOnline wants us to be successful together.
Cons
I wish I had more time to get familiar with all of the features available but the 10 day trial period is still enough to see that this is the system for us. If CompanyCam could be integrated with it in future, that would be great, but not a deal-breaker by any means.

Decision on a software platform that worked for a Developer not just a Contractor
Our experience with ConstructionOnline was excellent from the initial contact through the demonstrations and all the way to our starting our 2-week trial. Everyone we dealt with was great at both answering our questions but also in the demonstrations with respect to ensuring all our questions were answered to our satisfaction. We had looked at 3 different software platforms to determine which would best fit our specific needs, and after going through demo sessions with all three, we landed on ConstructionOnline as being our frontrunner. Great people and user friendly software that delivered big results; a winning combination.
Pros
Ease of use and ability for customization specific to our needs were two of the biggest wins in our minds.
Cons
We actually found nothing that we saw as an issue with the software

Prostitution of Loyal Customers
I have been a user for many years - from way back when they started and used the Microsoft Office Suite as their platform. CS has abandoned the loyal customer base who helped build the business to what it is today. They have held their customer's data captive and prostituted them by abandoning the desktop platform and forcing the customer to pay ridiculously higher subscription fees. I understand innovation but at the least they could support the old customer base by maintaining, without upgrades, the previous platforms around which many of us built our businesses. Word of caution - expect to be treated the way that CS views you, as a commodity to be exploited not a customer to be appreciated. Thank you CS for 20 years and for the consideration you have given guys like us.
Pros
Thorough and integrated, user friendly and good logic.
Cons
Construction Suite abandoned the customer base that helped build the company.

If You’re a Residential Contractor, This Software Does It All
Aside from its features, the best thing about this software is the exceptional customer support. Wait times are minimal (if any), and the team knows the product inside and out. If they don’t have an answer right away, I always get a quick callback.
As a residential renovation company, this software works perfectly for our needs. While I don’t use all the features, I can see how it’s versatile enough to benefit larger construction companies too. Highly recommend
Pros
This software is fantastic and super easy to use, especially for estimating. The estimation section, complete with assemblies, is my go-to. I frequently use stored templates I’ve created, and the ability to save custom estimates as templates is a game-changer. The Redline section is also amazing for take-offs, which can be seamlessly sent to an estimate—something I haven’t seen done elsewhere.
All estimates can be exported to QuickBooks or Excel, making integration a breeze. I also love the variety of reports available. They can be used as-is, customized, or exported as PDFs. I often import these into Excel for further personalization.
A standout feature is the ability to see your job margin and adjust markup to maximize profit while staying competitive—extremely useful for tracking profitability.
The Selections and Change Order sections are incredibly helpful. Clients can easily approve COs and selections, preventing misorders and avoiding inadvertent issues. Plus, clients can access various reports and progress updates, keeping everyone on the same page.
We also use the chat feature for job-specific communications, saving us from digging through endless emails. Weekly job notes and progress reports are posted here, and we share updates directly with clients.
Lastly, the ability to take and organize photos is fantastic for both internal records and keeping clients updated on progress. This software truly streamlines our workflow and improves client communication.
Cons
There are times when I wish a feature was developed to work better for me, and they are not always available quickly. Usually, I find a way to work differently or export to a PDF or Excel and get what I need that way.

Construction Manager
I have been very happy with the system and especially with the staff in support and knowledge. At every step the team has been able to work with us for training and understanding how to maximize the system.
Pros
This is a complete system that allows for you to take the project from concept to turnover. Nearly every aspect of developing, planning, constructing, and closing out the project is available within ConstructionOnline. It makes management easier when you only need to use one system.
Cons
Bidding Process is not organized for management within the system. Also, Issues to Change Orders are disconnected items and make for a more manual entry than one would expect.

Business Owner/Project Manager
Overall Experience is very good...and I am still learning more of all of the potential functionality of Construction Online. This is a Game Changer...
Pros
ConstructionOnline, has help to organize and streamline the work processes, while providing analytics to help ensure great project management and communication between the Owner, Clients, and sub-contractors. The GamePlan is one of those examples of transparent communication with objective goals.
Cons
I don't think there is a lot in that category. I would recommend potentially allowing group messaging/forum communication based on specific opportunities (especially during the bid/estimate phase). Also another recommendation is the ability to export the overall Gant-chart schedule (overlay of all of the active projects) to help visualize overall timeline to help visual potential time constraints or resource constraints.

Best cloud based platform I've tried
5 star with exception to the app crashing and not being able to get help for that.
Pros
CO is an excellent platform for helping us run our business: From scheduling, messaging, file documentation, tracking selections, and providing our people in the field organized checklists, and To Do lists to keep their tasks organized. The instant support for problems or questions from the CO staff has also been invaluable.
Cons
The app is constantly crashing for all of us. When I've reached out for help in the past, customer service acts like they've never heard of such issues. Haha! not sure how thats possible. We've used CO for years and all of our users have always had issues. No it's not our OS or lack of an update or service issue. The app crashes. have to close out, re open sometimes several times. Sometimes it will never work.

Construction Online is the best!
The best way I can describe my overall experience is that I am not very good at working all of these construction softwares in the past, but ConstructionOnline makes everything very black and white, and easy to use.
Pros
I love how everything I use is in one place. The organizationfactor is my favorite and then the simplicity of the software is another plus.
Cons
The only issue I find is within redline, where my microsoft pen cannot draw, and pages take forever to load sometimes even on good wifi or service.

Constrction Online User Review
MY overall experience is a B+. I have really enjoyed this software and will continue to implement it throughout my career.
Pros
CO has been a major success within our company in regard to organization and communication.
Cons
There are a lot of features that have proven to be a bit tricky to fully understand. Scheduling is an example. I have found it difficult to fully grasp the predecessors and start vs finish date shifting.

Efficiency of having everything in one place
Overall, it functions extremely well for the way we incorporate it, which is primarily for client communication and reporting, RFIs and submittals.
Pros
Mobile access is essential to be able to access plans on site in real time. UDA ConstructionOnline streamlines communication with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, documenting interactions and recording them in real time with the most up-to-date information.
Cons
The "to-do" and gameplan features are not yet at a point where we can incorporate them--we are still using Trello for this. The mobile app also has a very different interface and lacks some features.

The Best I Ever Had
My overall experience has been great with construction online - outstanding.
Pros
Construction online is a great product however the thing that has been most impressive over the years has been the customer service. They have always responded to my questions and concerns promptly and accurately via email, chat room or phone. They have always been responsive.
Cons
My only only con would be future price increases. I will look past that if the product and customer service continue to be there.

Our Processes Have Improved Exponentially!
Pros
Construction Online has emerged as our beacon of efficiency. Previously, our operations relied heavily on manual tasks, hindering our productivity and overall effectiveness. With Construction Online, however, we've experienced a paradigm shift. The platform's robust features have empowered us to streamline our internal communication seamlessly. Now, every member of our team is on the same page, fostering collaboration and enhancing productivity.
Moreover, Construction Online's project management tools have been instrumental in keeping us on track. We can closely monitor our projects, both in terms of schedule and budget, with unparalleled precision. This level of oversight has enabled us to proactively address potential issues before they escalate, ensuring smooth project delivery every time.
One of the standout advantages of Construction Online is its centralized information repository. Gone are the days of searching through endless folders and emails for crucial data. With all our information consolidated in one place, accessing project details, documents, and communications has never been easier. This centralized approach has not only saved us valuable time but has also improved our organization's overall efficiency.
Cons
While Construction Online has significantly enhanced our operations, we did encounter a notable challenge specific to our location in British Columbia. The platform's handling of Provincial Sales Tax (PST) posed a hurdle for us, as it's not recognized within the system. This limitation required us to devise a workaround, particularly concerning the integration of QuickBooks Actuals from QuickBooks Online. While this was a manageable inconvenience, it did necessitate additional steps in our financial processes.

Overall UDA is a great product. So far I mainly use UDA for estimating and scheduling only. I love how the estimates can be converted into schedules.
Pros
I loved how UDA intregrates All Submittals, COI and data in place. And has the ability to monitor their status live.
Cons
I really do not like the Daily logs. If I have 7 trades at our project. I have to create 7 different logs for the day to document the manpower I had on site.

Good Software
Happy with the software and depend on it daily. I have been using it for over 8 years.
Pros
Many features aid in the management of projects
Cons
There are several options or features that could help us but they are additional costs and we are already paying a lot for C.O. and we can't justify the additional cost.
Quickbooks integration is fair but causes some reporting issues that make job costing difficult.

No complaints at all. Construction Online has really made my transition easy.
Pros
Ease of use. With a short click through example scenario I was able to use Construction Online with ease. It really is obvious where to find what you need. As easy as filling in the blanks for most of what I have needed to execute.
Cons
Thus far I do not see anything I would change except.......this company doesn't take advantage of every feature. If we did use all the features I'm sure life would be even easier.
