> Liefertreu is supplier compliance software for small and mid-sized companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It was built for the person who never asked to become a compliance officer: the purchasing manager, quality manager or plant manager who suddenly receives a supplier questionnaire from a large customer and has three weeks to answer it, on top of an already full job.

Most companies in this situation start with a spreadsheet. One tab per supplier, certificates in an email folder, expiry dates in a personal calendar, and a colleague who knows where everything is until the day they leave. It works until an auditor or a customer asks for proof, and then reconstructing who confirmed what, and when, takes days.

Who it is for

Liefertreu fits companies with roughly 50 to 500 employees and 30 to 150 relevant suppliers. These companies are usually not directly subject to the German Supply Chain Act (LkSG), but their customers are, which means the requirements are passed down the chain. They need documentation that holds up, without a compliance department to produce it.

It also serves the other side. Suppliers who repeatedly receive questionnaires from several large customers build a compliance profile once and reuse those answers, instead of assembling the same evidence again every quarter.

What it does

Send a standardized 44-question LkSG questionnaire or build your own template. Suppliers answer through a secure link without creating an account or remembering a password, which is the single biggest reason response rates stay high. Automatic reminders follow up on overdue submissions so nobody has to chase by email.

Collect and monitor certificates such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and SA8000. Uploaded PDFs are read automatically to extract certificate type, issuer, number and expiry date. You confirm the extracted values before they count, so the AI assists but never decides on its own. Alerts go out 90, 30 and 7 days before expiry.

AI reviews free-text answers for plausibility and flags responses worth a closer look, so a hundred returned questionnaires do not have to be read line by line.

Every supplier receives a compliance score based on answers, certificate status, response behavior and development over time. A complete audit trail records every action with a timestamp, and a full evidence package exports as PDF or Excel whenever a customer or auditor asks.
