> Most places that hire out a room or sell someone's time are still running it on a wall planner, a shared spreadsheet, and a phone that rings during the day. It works until two people book the same hall, or an invoice goes out three weeks late because nobody had time to write it.
Axiom Booking is for those places. Village halls and community centres. Sports clubs and leisure centres. Studios, makerspaces, clinics, co-working hubs, meeting rooms. Usually a handful of staff, often volunteers, and nobody with "systems administrator" in their job title.
Two schedulers, use one or both
The Space Scheduler handles whatever you hire out by the hour or the day: halls, courts, studios, desks, tables, pitches. You see what is free, you book it, and the system refuses a clash rather than letting you find out about it afterwards. Recurring bookings are set up once. Room layouts, add-ons and your own pricing rules are all configurable, and bookings can be held for approval before they are confirmed.
The Session Scheduler handles people rather than rooms: classes, appointments, one-to-ones. Each provider has their own calendar and their own attendee list, with a cap so a class cannot be oversold.
Plenty of customers run both. A leisure centre hires out its courts and runs classes in them. You do not have to use both, and you are not charged for the one you leave alone.
Invoicing is part of it, not a bolt-on
This is where most booking software stops and hands you to an accounts package. Every booking here drafts its own invoice, with the tax rate that applied at the time frozen onto it. Take card payments through Stripe, record cash and bank transfers by hand, raise credit notes, take deposits, and see what is still owed. There is a full transaction log behind all of it for when something needs checking.
Your customers can do it themselves
Every account gets a branded booking portal on its own web address. Customers check availability, book, and pay without ringing anyone. It works on a phone, and there is no app to install.
What it costs
£2 per bookable item per month. A bookable item is an active space or an active session provider, so a village hall with one room pays £2 and a restaurant with ten tables pays £20. Unlimited staff users, every feature included, no tiers. You are never charged per booking, per session or per slot.
