> Solid Takeoff is browser-based 2D takeoff software for contractors, estimators, quantity surveyors and specialist trades. It turns PDF and image drawings into measured quantities without CAD software, a Windows machine or a virtual machine.&#10;&#10;Setting the scale&#10;&#10;Open a PDF or a photo of a drawing in the browser and set the page scale. Choose from common ratio presets (1:20 through 1:1250), type a custom ratio, or calibrate by tracing a known dimension on the plan. Assisted scale detection can read a scale bar, dimension or title-block ratio and propose a value for you to confirm. Mixed sheet sets are supported with per-page scales, and measurements display in mm, cm, m, inches or feet at your chosen decimal precision.&#10;&#10;Measuring and organising quantities&#10;&#10;Measure linear runs, areas and counts, then group them into named conditions with individual colours and waste percentages, with totals updating live as you work. Applying a height or thickness to a linear condition derives wall area and volume from a single traced element, which saves repeating the same wall for three different quantities.&#10;&#10;Marking up and exporting&#10;&#10;Annotate drawings with text, arrows, freehand pen, text boxes, leader callouts and trade-specific symbols, with size and colour controls. Export a vector PDF showing your measurements over the original drawing plus an automatic quantity summary page, or a CSV for your spreadsheet or estimating package.
