# Mavoin

> Indian independent professionals who sell services abroad sit between two software markets, and neither one fits them properly.

Invoicing tools built for the US, UK, or Australia are pleasant to use and cheap, but they have no concept of a GSTIN, place of supply, SAC codes, or a Letter of Undertaking. An invoice produced by one of them is not a valid tax invoice in India. Indian accounting suites understand all of that, but they are built for companies with a finance function, and they treat multi-currency invoicing as a premium capability. A freelancer who bills one client in Berlin and three in Bengaluru ends up quoted somewhere between ₹1,500 and ₹6,000 a month for a general ledger, inventory modules, and a chart of accounts they will never open — bought entirely to unlock one checkbox.

The predictable result is a Google Docs template, a spreadsheet of invoice numbers, and a quarterly conversation with a chartered accountant that starts with corrections.

Mavoin was built for exactly that gap, and stops there.

What it does

For domestic work, Mavoin issues GST tax invoices: CGST and SGST for intra-state supplies, IGST for inter-state, resolved by place of supply rather than left to the user to remember. SAC or HSN codes sit on each line item. Invoice numbers run sequentially within the financial year, which is where hand-maintained numbering usually breaks.

For overseas work, it issues export invoices for services supplied under a Letter of Undertaking, without payment of IGST, with the declaration on the document where a reviewing accountant expects to find it.

For both, currency is handled honestly. An invoice raised in USD, EUR, or GBP records the exchange rate applied and shows the rupee equivalent alongside the billed amount. That single detail removes most of the friction that appears later, when the remittance arrives at a different rate and the numbers reported for a period need to reconcile against what actually reached the account.

Beyond issuing documents, Mavoin tracks what is paid, due, and overdue, keeps client records including GSTINs for domestic clients, and produces a clean PDF that can be downloaded or emailed. Payments are collected through Razorpay.

There is also an MCP connector, which lets an invoice be drafted directly from an AI assistant such as Claude or Cursor. For developers and consultants who already work in those tools, it removes the context switch entirely.

Who it is for

GST-registered freelancers, consultants, designers, developers, and studios of one to three people, particularly those exporting services and dealing with LUT filing, FIRC documentation, and dual-currency reporting for the first time.

Who it is not for

Businesses carrying inventory, companies that need a full general ledger, teams that require multi-user approval workflows, or anyone who wants a complete accounting system. Mavoin does not attempt to be one, and that is a deliberate scope decision rather than a roadmap gap. Bookkeeping stays with the accountant; invoicing stays here.

Pricing

Plans start at ₹199 per month. A 30-day trial provides full access without requiring a card, and does not expire into a locked account — it steps down to a limited free tier if nothing is purchased.

### "Simple, Reliable, and Time-Saving Invoicing Solution" — 5.0/5

> **Divyesh** | *2 August 2026* | Computer Software | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Mavoin is an excellent platform for freelancers, small businesses, and individuals who need to create professional invoices and quotations quickly. The interface is simple, easy to navigate, and saves a lot of time. I like that I can generate documents in just a few minutes without any technical knowledge. Overall, it is reliable, user-friendly, and helps manage billing efficiently.
>
> **Cons**: Overall, I had a good experience with Mavoin and did not face any major issues. The only improvements I would suggest are adding more invoice and quotation templates, additional customization options for branding, and more third-party integrations. These enhancements would make the platform even more useful for growing businesses.
