Customers manage their accounts through the MyServe customer portal, which acts as the central location for orders, invoices, renewals, domains, DNS, email, hosting, and server services. Different management tools are available depending on the selected product.

Shared web hosting and WordPress hosting are managed through Plesk. WordPress plans also include WordPress-focused management capabilities such as WordPress Toolkit, staging, automated updates, assisted migration, daily backups, Redis caching, and AccelerateWP performance tools. Hosting plans include unlimited traffic under a fair-use policy, while storage, website limits, databases, SSH access, and other resources vary by plan.

ServeTheWorld manages DNS through its own DNS interface within the customer portal. DNS is handled separately from individual hosting plans, allowing customers to manage website, domain, and email records from one central area. The interface supports granular zone management, bulk record changes, and rollback capabilities.

For customers who need greater control over their environment, ServeTheWorld offers Linux and Windows VPS plans as well as VDS plans with dedicated CPU allocations. Virtual servers are managed through Proxmox-based controls and run on high-availability clusters with distributed Ceph storage. VPS and VDS configurations vary by vCPU or dedicated-core allocation, RAM, NVMe storage, and included traffic.

Linux environments support operating systems such as Ubuntu, Debian, and AlmaLinux. Windows VPS services are available with supported Windows Server Datacenter editions under Microsoft’s SPLA licensing model, which allows ServeTheWorld to handle the server licensing requirements for customers.

ServeTheWorld’s VDS plans use a 1:1 CPU allocation model for workloads that require dedicated compute resources. These plans may be suitable for production applications, databases, development environments, business systems, and other workloads where more predictable CPU performance is required.

The company also provides build-to-order dedicated servers. Customers can choose from AMD-based server configurations and request changes to processors, memory, storage, network cards, operating systems, and control panels. Dedicated servers support Linux distributions, Windows Server, and Proxmox VE.

Dedicated servers can be managed through DCImanager, IPMI, SSH, command-line tools, and other standard server administration methods. Optional Plesk Obsidian licenses are available for customers who want to use a web hosting control panel. cPanel is not provided as a standard option but may be available on request for larger customers with specific compatibility requirements.

For organizations that want to deploy their own hardware, ServeTheWorld offers colocation services in Oslo. Colocation arrangements can include rack space, power allocation, A/B power feeds, network connectivity, bandwidth, IP resources, and remote hands assistance. Colocation services are typically quoted individually according to the customer’s space, power, hardware, and traffic requirements.

ServeTheWorld operates its own centrally located data center in Oslo, with capacity for approximately 4,000 servers.
