> Who Zeal is for: Zeal is built for two kinds of buyer. The first is a merchant running shops, restaurants, cafes, salons, forecourts or grocery stores, who takes most of their money through a card machine and knows almost nothing about the people paying. The second is a payment company, a payment service provider, acquirer, ISO or Payment App Vendor, that already has terminals in the field and wants to earn more from that estate while keeping merchants for longer. What it does: Zeal is a terminal operating system and value-added-services gateway. The Zeal SDK installs as software on the payment terminals already sitting on the counter, so loyalty, customer recognition and merchant analytics arrive through a normal terminal update. There is no new hardware to buy, no re-terminalising, and no need to change payment provider or acquirer. When a customer pays, Zeal recognises the card token and matches it to that customer's history, so returning customers are identified passively at a rate of 75 to 90 percent. Nothing is asked of the customer. There is no app to download, no phone number to read out and no loyalty card to scan. Staff carry on serving. What merchants get: repeat visit and spend reporting on real customers rather than anonymous transactions. Card-linked loyalty that awards points and rewards at the moment of payment. Remarketing campaigns to bring lapsed customers back. Branded terminal screens. Customer feedback captured at the terminal. There is a no-app option, Zeal Micro Loyalty, for merchants who would rather not ask customers to install anything, and Zeal Loyalty Link for merchants who already run a loyalty programme and want it connected to the card machine. What payment companies get: the PSP Portal gives live transactions across the book, merchant health scoring, churn prediction that flags a merchant at risk before they leave, and merchant onboarding with document collection in one place. Merchant-facing dashboards can be white-labelled. Why it is different: one integration covers PAX, Ingenico, Verifone, Nexgo, Sunmi and Castles, which no competing loyalty product does. Zeal is acquirer-agnostic and already runs on Worldpay, Elavon, Viva and NMI estates, and around 90 percent of UK SME payment providers are integrated. The platform sustains 600 or more transactions per second, so it holds up at grocery and enterprise scale. Getting started and support: Basic is free and covers branded terminal screens, feedback capture and basic reports. Premium is £19 per month for merchants with 50 card machines or fewer. Estate-wide and enterprise deployments are quoted case by case. Support is available by email, phone and chat, with live online onboarding and written documentation, and Zeal handles the terminal-side deployment with the payment provider so the merchant does not have to project-manage it.
