# Needle

Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.co.nz/software/557195/Needle

> Needle is an AI-powered applicant tracking system for startup founders, hiring managers, and small teams that need to hire well without a dedicated recruiter.
If hiring today means juggling LinkedIn tabs, spreadsheets, calendar back-and-forth, and copy-pasted notes, Needle replaces that with AI agents that do the busywork for you. Describe who you're looking for in plain English. Needle searches across 800M profiles, ranks the best matches against your ideal profile, sends personalized outreach, and books interviews straight onto your calendar.
You always know where every candidate stands. Every email, call, and interview recording is captured, summarized, and filed into a clean candidate record automatically, so nothing lives in someone's inbox or memory.

Who it's best for:
• Founders making their first hires who want a professional process without recruiting experience
• Lean teams (1–200 employees) who'd rather talk to candidates than update software
• Teams that live in Slack: tag @Needle to search candidates, check status, or kick off outreach

What's included: AI sourcing, automated outreach sequences, interview scheduling, candidate database, career page, AI note-taker, and plain-English reporting in one platform.
Getting started and support: Needle is free to start, and your first role can be live in minutes. Support is human and fast (email or Slack), and you can book time directly with a founder while getting set up.
