> Sicada is a free, browser-based point of sale (POS) system built for independent shops, cafés, restaurants, and retail businesses — from solo owner-operators to small teams. There is nothing to install and no dedicated hardware to buy; Sicada runs in any modern web browser on a desktop, tablet, or phone, and can be added to the home screen as a Progressive Web App.

At the counter, Sicada provides a cashier and register interface for quick sales, along with product and category management, price and tax setup, and discounts. Businesses that serve food and drink can use table management with per-table QR-code menu ordering for dine-in, plus delivery orders. Each sale can print a receipt, and customer records help track repeat customers.

Sicada keeps working when the internet does not: sales made offline are queued on the device and sync automatically once the connection is restored. Staff accounts use role-based permissions so owners can give managers full access while limiting cashiers to processing sales.

The Free plan has no time limit and needs no card. Stock management and sales analytics are included on the Pro plan; customer loyalty and a built-in AI assistant are included on the Business plan. Sicada records the payment method for each sale — it does not process card payments itself. The interface is available in 13 languages.
