The typical SafeMailer buyer is not running a security department. It
is a practice manager at a clinic sending records to a referring

confidential data but have no dedicated IT staff to deploy a secure
email gateway.

SafeMailer is built for that situation. It runs in the browser, so
there is no plugin to install, no MX record to change, and no mail
routing to reconfigure. A first encrypted message can be sent within
minutes of creating an account, and nothing about the existing inbox
changes.

The recipient experience is where most encrypted email fails. When a
protected message requires the other side to create an account and
set a password, many recipients give up and ask for the file to be
resent unencrypted. SafeMailer removes that step. Recipients verify
with the Google or Microsoft account they already hold, open the
message, and nothing is installed on their end.

Senders keep control after a message leaves the outbox. One Time View
limits a message to a single opening. Forwarding and downloading can
be blocked on individual messages carrying sensitive attachments.
Access can be revoked after delivery, including on messages sent to
the wrong address. Every open, verification, and revocation is
recorded in an exportable audit trail, which is what auditors ask for
rather than a description of the encryption method.

Encryption is AES 256 GCM at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit under a zero
trust key management architecture, backed by SOC 2 Type II
attestation and ISO 27001 certification. A Business Associate
Agreement is included on every plan, including the free one, so a
small practice is not forced onto an enterprise contract to satisfy
HIPAA.
