As a firm running fixed-price and retainer work side by side, this changed how we steer delivery — we catch a project trending over on day 14, not when we go to invoice. One detail matters more than it sounds: the day rate is snapshotted onto each time entry when it's logged. When we raised our rates mid-year, every past entry stayed frozen at the rate that applied then, so older projects still bill correctly with zero reconstruction work. > > **Cons**: Setting up our project-code scheme and budget logic took a focused afternoon up front. The first interaction with the system was demoed by the tech lead of the leap, he walked me through the system. Price for the CRM part is reasonable for such software even for non profit organization.
