# SSIS Data Flow Components for Snowflake

> SSIS Data Flow Components for Snowflake allows users to integrate Snowflake with other databases and cloud applications through SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). It includes Snowflake Source, Snowflake Destination, and Snowflake Lookup components. 

The Snowflake Source component has an editor that displays connection tables and columns, enabling users to build Snowflake queries using a drag-and-drop interface. It also provides access to system and user variables for data extraction. The Snowflake Lookup component uses optimization techniques, such as select statements that check multiple rows at once. It also assists with caching of returned results to deliver lookups and optimize round-trips to the server. 

The Snowflake Destination component splits data into multiple CSV files, uploads them to cloud storage and uses the Snowflake COPY command to import the data in parallel. The suite also supports integration with other cloud data platforms, such as Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Amazon Redshift and Google BigQuery.
