> Astah SysML is a desktop SysML modeling tool for systems engineers and MBSE teams who want to start model-based systems engineering without the cost and complexity of a heavyweight enterprise suite. It covers the SysML v1 diagrams you use every day, including requirement, block definition, internal block, parametric, and state machine diagrams, along with requirement tables you can import from and export to Excel.

Teams choose Astah SysML for its clean interface and short learning curve, so engineers new to SysML can become productive quickly. Requirements stay traceable to the blocks and test cases that satisfy them, and mind maps help you gather stakeholder needs before turning them into model elements. AI Chat Copilot lets you create and refine models by describing them in plain language, and a local MCP server lets AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT work with your models. These AI features use your own API key from the AI service you choose.

Astah SysML runs on Windows and macOS. It supports SysML v1 and does not include simulation; if you are moving to SysML v2, the separate SysMLv2 Editor is included with your license.
