Deviations only surface when someone types up the lists, sometimes days later, and whether anyone acts on them depends on who reads them. flowdit moves the inspection onto mobile devices and PCs and follows it through to the end: from the inspection step to the deviation to the completed, documented action. Building templates Templates are built without code. The AI import turns existing Excel, Word or PDF checklists into templates, and for paper lists a photo is enough. Measurement fields with tolerances and mandatory fields keep inspections complete, while conditional questions only appear when an answer calls for them. Templates are versioned and only go live after approval, so every site and every shift works to the same standard. On the shop floor Inspectors download their assignment once and can then work without a network connection. They record measurements with photos or video and dictate notes by voice. Sign-off happens directly on the device, and results sync automatically as soon as they are back online. The matching work instruction, with images or video, opens right at the inspection step, which also helps new staff get up to speed. Deviations and actions When a check fails or a measurement is out of tolerance, the inspector records an action with an owner and a due date. For critical points, templates can make this mandatory. flowdit sends reminders until the action is closed. Because the action stays linked to the inspection step, auditors see not only the failed check but also who fixed it and when. The report is created during the inspection, not afterwards at a desk. Results from all sites come together in real time, with reports and analytics for quality and EHS managers.
