Confluence - great application documentation tool
Confluence is being used by various software application teams and my experience has been great with documenting solution documents.
Pros
Confluence is a great tool to write software applications documentations, organize them in Team folder, having pages, whiteboards, Database of related documents grouped together. Easy to search and write structured contents with great formatting.
Cons
Its easy to create tables in confluence pages. But its hard to control the table formatting which comes with default template and size. There can be more technical symbols and drawing features.

Old and clunky, doesn't allow live documents
Pros
It's simple, no need to worry much about colours, formatting, etc
Cons
Main drawback - to this date I haven't found a way to have live documents uploaded, meaning every time something changes - I need to upload a new version. Many of the documents are net being previewed (you cannot even view them online), so you have to download them.

Great tool for documentation and collaboration
I've been a user and administrator of confluence for 15 years. I've scaled it up from 200 users in a department to over 25000 users across an entire organisation.
Pros
Confluence is a well established, feature rich, easy to use and highly scalable collaboration tool. It makes writing and sharing documentation very easy. There is a vast library of (mostly paid for) plugins that can customise the experience.
Cons
It's expensive and the plug in system ramps up the cost considerably as well. Plugins have a habit of launching for free but after some time they start charging.
(usually shortly after you realise it's indispensable). They make it hard to remove and replace plugins.
Th search facility is not configurable and heavily weights results to more recent documents.

Seamless Documentation
Pros
What I liked most about Confluence is its seamless collaboration features. The real-time editing and comment functionalities make it incredibly easy for my team to work together on documentation. The integration with other Atlassian tools like Jira adds even more value.
Cons
One thing which felt hard for me while using confluence is to find docs from different spaces when too many spaces and docs are there. I think the main reason is that it would take time to arrange and keep the docs in correct places and name it correctly.

It provided us with a comprehensive and integrated knowledge base, which made it easy for us...
Confluence has enhanced our organizational capabilities through main and sub-spaces that maintain the continuity of documentation and updates.
Pros
Confluence features organized spaces for data management that simplify the coordination of workflow between all departments, maintains the centralization of documentation and the integrity of reviews. I loved how Confluence ensures that information is continuously accessible to everyone in real time and the ease of adding and formatting content, whether at the level of reports or interactive panels. Confluence always makes content more attractive and makes it easy for the team to browse and add notes. I loved the advanced search options that allow access to any document or information with extreme ease.
Cons

Jira and Confluence - Solid Project Management Tools
Really enjoy this product. Would buy it again!
Pros
I greatly enjoy the Kanban views, and ability to easily set up reporting across teams/boards. It's fairly easy to customize. Planning Sprints and seeing burn down reports is also very easy with this tool.
Cons
There really isn't much I dislike. I haven't used it for Resource Management so if you need to be able to do that ...I'm not sure if this is the tool for you.

Confluence works well along with Jira for our development team.
Pros
For our development team, Confluence is an intuitive platform that just works!
It's easy to use, more performant than Sharepoint and has great Jira (the other essential tool we use for Agile project management) integration, given that both tools are from Atlassian.
Cons
Search accuracy needs to be improved. Page insights require additional licensing.

Effective way of recording design history and decisions
Confluence made the recording of our UX delivery from Discovery to Beta really easy, so that people joining the project, stakeholders or future teams working on the same service can review the decisions we made and the evidence to back them up.
Pros
It was an effective tool for logging reasons, process and the development of an agile UX delivery from Discovery to Beta - logging design histories, decisions and changes in a way that was easy to navigate.
Cons
Not much to add here - search functions and labelling worked well, and it was easy to use when creating the documentation too.

A good experience with Confluence
My experience with Confluence was across multiple companies, so I saw the evolution of the product. in general it's a good tool to store your companies knowledge center, it has both on prem and saas solutions and it has a very short onboarding time.
Pros
Confluence has enabled myself and my team to keep a single point of reference where you can always count on to have the latest enterprise data, it's very reliable and has very good search capabilities shortenning the time to find a piece of information.
Cons
It works best when you have the whole package of Atlassian which includes Jira and Bitbucket,
It also has good integration with other tools but best all the tools to come from one "home".

Simplicity of process and integration of resources in one program.
All in all, we conclude that Confluence is a really helpful software when it comes to project management within a team. For that reason, I believe that the key advantage of is simplicity and the ability to edit it in collaboration with others simultaneously.
Pros
The best aspect of Confluence that I have found is that it is really easy to use and very friendly. This software is very convenient for use by anyone, including the first time user of this kind of applications. I also like the potential of making and editing content that is shared and I also believe that communication as well as teamwork are enhanced.
Cons
But the thing that I did not like most is that I sometimes get the feeling that the tool is rather limited in what it does allow me to change. I want more configuration possibilities, so that it would be possible to fit the software to the needs of my workshop.

Confluence is a robust tool for world-class engineering/product teams to create
Confluence is a critical tool for significant documentation from an engineering/product standpoint. I don't think it will be the only tool fast agile businesses will use for documentation but it is still best in class for engineering functions.
Pros
Confluence is the most trusted documentation player in the game. We use Jira for our engineering task management so naturally, the seamless vertical integration between the two tools is excellent. Confluence has an excellent template library and perhaps most importantly, the performance is always reliable. We can't use tools like ClickUp due to bugs and performance issues for long significant PRDs. The collaboration on confluence is excellent and permissions around editing is also important.
Cons
Confluence is quite clunky (much like Jira). The ability to edit isn't as easy as ClickUp or Notion and that can get frustrating when you're trying to make changes quickly.

Confluence: Streamlining Collaboration and Knowledge Management
Pros
Confluence excels in collaboration and knowledge management among teams in the organization. It acts as a document center where answers to most respective questions or issues are answered by peers saving tons of time.
Documentation of a specific process allows new joiners to quickly understand the by just looking into the documentation instead of assigning a resource to help them understand the whole process. It is a great platform for productivity.
Cons
Editing the documents can be made just like Microsoft Word and duplicating all its features could be great because almost all use Word to edit documents.

Confluence makes knowledge sharing easy
It is a great solution to our knowledge sharing problems. We use it like an intranet to house policies, updates, documents and calendars in one central spot and it has worked really well in helping employees find the information they need without having to ask
Pros
It is a really quick and easy way to share knowledge share documents and collaborate with your team. It enables us to inform our whole business of processes in a streamlined way
Cons
The UI can be difficult to figure out. Features arent necessarily where you would expect them and I think more work could be done around organizing folders and pages

Excellent for shared knowledge base
Excellent, transformed the world of agile delivery - every business should have this!
Pros
Perfect way to store documentation in a single repository. Seamlessly integrates with Jira (another one of the Atlassian suite products), bridging the gap between content sharing and delivery. Documents can be as public or as private as you like in seconds. Can be altered to your needs and be as complex or as clean as fits your needs.
Cons
I actually can’t think of much I dislike, can’t even remember what life at work was before confluence :d

Great software for teams
It's great. Besides small UI issues that can be boiled down to personal preference, it's the perfect software for its use-case.
Pros
A great platform to store all team knowledge. It's user-friendly and allows for easy editing and consistent formatting. You can also share very easily.
Cons
The search function doesn't always give you what you're looking for.
