Easy to use. Amazing Customer Support
Amazing customer service. Wonderful training tools, trainings and resources. Painless setup. Intuitive design. Simple reporting. Go Team GiveGab!
Pros
I work with a small and very busy staff so the idea of burdening anyone with a new Giving Day was not ideal. GiveGab was like adding a team of new members to our staff who have years of Giving Day experience. Creating the site was painless. The trainings and materials were great. And my love for the chat bubble people was real - They were always quick to respond and very helpful.
The platform looks great and was easy to navigate. Very intuitive design. Even my mom was able to donate to multiple NPOs on our Giving Day without my help.
Cons
Some of the nonprofits went rogue and explored GiveGab more than they were ready to. The confusion with donating to their nonprofit site and their campaign site was real and frustrating. But a small price to pay for great customer service!

Give Gab is a good product that integrates well with Every Action
Overall experience was OK; found it very difficult to not have phone support and just chat or email. Makes it very difficult to get nuanced issues explained clearly and requires multiple follow ups to get issues addressed and questions answered.

I liked that there was a peer to peer model that integrates with EveryAction

Giving day review
The product is good and the collaboration with with GiveGab/Bonterra team is really important to the success of our giving day. Unfortunately, the lack of customer service negatively impacted our experience this year.
Pros
It's great to have a tech support team in place to handle those pieces. The platform features enhance our giving day (such as prize capabilities, matches, peer to peer, etc).
Cons
This year, we experienced delayed response times from our project management team. As well, the attention to detail that we are accustomed to was severely lacking this year. We hope to have a more positive experience next year.

Give Lab a Competitive portal for transparent Giveaways
Overall experience is below good because of technical glitches found are very bad

15 years of experience with giving days
Honestly the stress over the lack of ability to manage Stripe the week before the main event soured the whole experience. That, coupled with the way customer service responds is making me question if there are other providers that can work.
Pros
Features and functions - P2P, matches/challenges. Interface with the philanthropy hub for year-round capacity as well. this makes my users more comfortable in the platform. Confetti!!!! Leaderboard sorting by org, donors or dollars is great. My PM is great ([sensitive content hidden]).
Cons
Stripe - as mentioned took out a lot of orgs just before and during giving event. Can there be a moratorium on active giving days? Customer service - needs to bump up when giving day is active, not just on the main days. I had lots of people who could not get help while our giving was open. And customer service - even my PM - seems to approach each call from the standpoint that the caller did something wrong. I'm sure that's usually the case, but not always. My nonprofits really felt this way. They and the donors don't understand Bonterra terminology, they're only in this a couple of months or times a year. There needs to be an attitude change.

Awesome Fundraising Tool!
Our experience using Bonterra (Give Gab) has been fantastic. Our Project Manager for our Giving Days have been helpful, attentive, and one of our biggest cheerleaders.
Pros
We have had exceptional service using this management tool. We are coming up on our 3rd year, and this is one of the best fundraising events of the year for us.
Cons
Other than being a bit pricey, there is nothing else that I dislike about the program.

Cons
There is a limit on some of the unique ways you can showcase your page. It would be great to have more options to what you can do with giving page.

A great platform for federated giving days
The giving day we have done has always been a success with a lot of great takeaways. We have enjoyed working with our partners on the federated giving days and it has certainly helped to build community in our space. The platform is great and having it a little detached from our main fundraising and database management really lets the day stand on its own in a very nice way.
Pros
1. Easy to manage a federated giving day
2. Lots of tools to manage the system
3. Tons of support and great service.
4. Really feels like you are getting a lot for free.
Cons
There's not much I haven't liked. It hasn't always been a perfect system, and there have been limitations or missing features here and there, but that's all wishlist stuff or pie-in-the-sky dreaming. The real process, platform, and payoff is very worth it.

We've used GiveGab as a volunteer, p2p, and event/campaign giving platform.
Pros
What GiveGab does well, They do exceptionally well. Their online / social media and P2P fundraising functions are not only plug and play, but they also give you the tools to macimize the effectiveness of each campaign and think through best practices.
Cons
Unfortunately, there is little control over accepting volunteer hour entered by a volunteer, entering in kind donations, creating physical mailings to constituents or ticketing an event. A lack of some basic features makes makes the platform a supplement vs a all in one CRM.

Pros and Cons from a Community Volunteer Hub
If givegab still had volunteer management capabilities then I we would still utilize it. It was the best volunteer software i've ever used.
Pros
When GiveGab focused on volunteerism, the software was 10/10. It was so easy to use and clear. I would describe it has the social media of service.
Cons
Givegab stopped focusing on volunteering and only focused on fundraising. Still a great tool for fundraising but not so much for volunteerism.

GiveGab
I set up new campaigns based on my company's fundraising events. So ticketing, sponsorship, etc. I use the customer Service chat A LOT but they are extremely helpful and show you step by step.
Pros
My favorite part of using GiveGab is the Customer Service. It is really great, quick and very knowledgeable. If, by chance, they aren't sure of what the answer is, they research and get back to you. The overall product is massive and there is so much you can do. And it does it well.
Cons
What I do not like about this product is that it is hard to learn. Because it can do so much, it is not super intuitive. However, the more you use it, the easier it gets. It's just hard if you are a frequent user - in which I am referring to creating forms from scratch vs. just running reports. Creating a new campaign is time consuming as there are many facets you need to work through. but once up and running it is well done.

Satisfied, Engaged Partner Here
The problems solved with GiveGab are too many to list! One specific example is how much more smooth our organization registration process is this year compared to last year. After the Giving Day, our GiveGab team listened, reviewed their tech support questions received, asked questions, and then went to work. The results are paying off. The number of questions I am answering this year compared to last year are way down, our partners are happier, and I have MUCH more time to devote to managing the event(s).
Pros
The people behind the software are what make the software great. They routinely analyze their tech support logs to see what issues people have, listen to their partners, and then work to make the process smoother and easier so we partners can spend more time and effort in the day-to-day management of the Giving Day or fundraising effort.
Cons
Verification of entity bank accounts still causes confusion among some of my participating organizations, but I know that GiveGab is already "on it" to see what can be done for next year.

Online Giving Champ
I have used this software for the past 2+ years for a county wide online fundraising event benefitting nonprofits in our area and it has been an easy software to pick up. The first year we used the software, we were fortunate to have training courses provided to help us get accustomed to the site and made things easier on our end.
Pros
Relatively simple to use and manage all donations through. Customer service was really helpful.
Cons
I wish I had more control over the color scheme of my site. We used GiveGab to support multiple nonprofits in our area. My organization had it's own page but I couldn't really update the coloring of the site the way I personally would have liked.

Don't run a Giving Day without GiveGab
I could not run our $3-million-plus giving day without them.
Pros
GiveGab is all-in-one what you need to run a giving day. I am a staff of one and consider GiveGab to be part of my team. It is easy to set up, my project manager is amazing and they take away a lot of the stress of technical issues and customer service on Give Day.
Cons
While there are some features I'm still hoping they add, the development team is very responsive to feedback and integrating user requests.

the right tool for giving days
Pros
GIveGab, by far, has the most comprehensive suite of tools designed for giving days. Even though the applications for the software go beyond just giving days and can extend to every type of campaign to provide a turnkey online giving solution, as a Community Foundation, giving days have been our core use.
What I like MOST about the software? It would have to be the people behind it. The customer support team, the dedication to perfection, user tutorials and webinars, and a development team that is not only accessible but willing to listen and incorporate end user ideas for improvement, all make for a top notch customer experience. Most significantly, GIveGab has allowed our team to be relieved of the burden of becoming a "helpline" for 4 months out of the year - directly affecting our bottom line and freeing us to work on our mission related projects!
Cons
When an administrator for a large giving day who also donates to organizations and is responsible for the administration of your own organization's campaign, the roles get a bit confusing. But, that may speak more to my (in)ability to handle all the hats.

An efficient tool for giving campaigns
The giving day is a very important fundraising day for our organization - the biggest day of the year. If there were computer glitches we would be in big trouble. We're very pleased that even with 150+ organizations all using the platform intensely that one day, there have been no problems experienced. We are satisfied.
Pros
We are part of an annual giving day campaign in our city and Give Gab is the platform for donations during that day. The training provided by the GiveGab staff has been very good. There was just the right amount of "hand-holding" during the transitional year to this new platform, which helped us a lot. I like that they continue to provide enthusiastic support, updates on platform capabilities, and good ideas for building momentum for the giving day.
Cons
We have not had any problems using the software. Of course, there is a cost to utilizing this platform and we always wish that were less since we are small nonprofit, but we do consider this a good product for the money.

Great fundraising software!
Pros
We used this software for crowdfunding and our annual day of giving. Good customer service and project leads, easy to set up campaigns, and great features.
Cons
Sometimes you have to do manual uploads on the back end for things to count within campaigns or your annual day of giving (gifts, number of donors, etc.). Leaderboards we had to do manually based on what we wanted the categories to be (by region, constituency, etc.). Staff was great to work with though on helping us achieve what we needed!

Multi program fundraisiung
As part of a statewide fundraising day, Give Gab provided a very good platform. For complex organizations like mine it was not ideal to have all the fundraisers on one page but separating them wasn't practical either. Overall it was a good experience.
Pros
The ease of use in setting up pages was very good. I had over ten fundraising events going at one time. Data collected by system very helpful and usable. Customer service very helpful.
Cons
The most important element of the ask is in the info page about your story. I found that the editing and formatting capabilities of the 'story' section' was poor and often difficulty to understand what you could manipulate. Photos did not format well with text layout. Some of the formatting of uploaded logos or other placed items that were preset didn't work well with images. Eventually could scale and shrink to work.

Good platform - requires great plan
Pros
The software does what it should do well. Promotes day of giving, tracks counting, promotes leader boards, challenges, social, etc.
Cons
It is not always clear from looking at other sites to understand what is provided "out of the box" versus what requires customization and additional hours (cost). Be very clear with GiveGab what you want and document in agreement. Allow plenty of time to develop site. As your date gets closer, GiveGab will run out of resources to make tweaks.

GiveGab is an easy to use platform, with responsive and helpful customer service and good website design. The platform has helped our organization fundraise for the past three years.
Cons
The platform fees recently increased for the free version. Our non-profit is so small that we could not afford to pay for a subscription to get the lower platform fees.

Great experience two years in a row!
GiveGab has been fantastic! They built a beautiful site with running stats that kept us and our constituents informed throughout our Day of Giving. They have made our reporting far easier for that day. Their customer service is second to none - available, kind, helpful, entrepreneurial!
Pros
GiveGab took our Day of Giving to the next level with running stats on the homepage that enabled givers to see the progress throughout the day. We loved it as staff implementing the day, and our constituents loved the look of the site and the ease with which they could check in on stats.
Cons
Our biggest complaint has been the fee structure associated with using GiveGab. Our donors have not been connected in the past to credit card fees that come with giving a gift online, so seeing the fee was a surprise in that way and then additionally because the fee is higher through GiveGab. That's not really a software issue, though - just the price of doing business!

Pros
I like how customization the reports are. I can pull exactly what information I need, and in the format that I want it in.
Cons
When I go to download the donation reports, they also glitch out. I have to reload the page multiple times due to errors. Also, I dislike that we have to ask for a report that lists errors in gift processing. Our ACH's have been declining and refunding, and we never get a notification about it, we have to go and bother GG.

Easy to use, but not without flaws
Pros
I do a lot of donor gift entry and being able to download reports and manipulate them with ease.
Cons
It's been difficult to switch our donors to EFT donations (have lost many in the conversion). Also the bank statements do not display our organization's name consistently (will say GiveGab) which confuses our donors.
