Having access to real people who are responsive and willing to listen has made a huge difference. They understand that every winery operates a little differently, and when we have needed something changed or handled differently, they have been willing to listen and work with us to find a solution. We also really like having our POS, website, online store, wine club, and customer information working together in one system. And hearing directly from our wine club members that the new system is easier for them to use has probably been the best confirmation that we made the right decision. > > **Cons**: The biggest challenge was simply making such a major change. Moving years of customer information, wine club data, our website, e-commerce, and POS all at once is a lot, and there is definitely a learning curve with any new system. That said, what could have been a very painful transition was made much easier by the Bottle360 team. When we ran into something we didn't understand or needed handled differently, they were responsive and helped us work through it. > > We are very happy with our decision to move to Bottle360. We had been with our previous system for many years, so changing our POS, website, online store, wine club, and customer accounts all at once was a big decision and honestly a little intimidating. The transition went much better than we expected. There was a lot to learn and plenty of details to work through, but we never felt like we were doing it on our own. The Bottle360 team stayed involved throughout the process and helped us get everything up and running in a way that worked for our winery. While many of the competitors had great functionality, none of them could support all my critical requirements other than Bottle360. Here are a few of the critical requirements: - Support for Wholesale orders. Solution must support payment types like Net30, Net60 as we do sell lots of wine via the wholesale channel - Website not required to be integrated into the order management system. I cannot believe that some order management systems require this, but I want the ability to integrate my website with the order management system via a simple URL redirect. I do not want to be required to re-implement my website in the order management system's CMS. - Web service integration. Having the ability to extract data from the order management system programatically, so I can create my own reports, integrate with my warehouse is critical. I was looking for a simple, secure web service interface. - Web based Point of Sale system. We use a POS in our tasting room, so I was looking for a solution that is browser based, meaning we can run it on any type of device (computer, iPad, phone). Also, the licensing should not be based on the number of device using it (in other words, one single cost for the POS). - Flat monthly software charge. I don't want a solution that when I sell more, I pay more for the software. I understand transaction processing will scale up as I sell more, but the cost of the software should not scale up. - Flexible wine club solution that can be tailored to our needs. We allow lots of customization from our wine club members, so we need a flexible solution that can be customized both by the wine club member and the winery. - Good/accessible customer support. When a problem occurs in the tasting room, I want to know my employee can pick up the phone and talk with someone immediately. - Mailchimp integration. These days, I expect that marketing integration should be included as part of the basic software offering. Not an added monthly charge. > > **Cons**: As with any software product, you have a large wish list, and you try to find the package that checks the most boxes. Bottle360 is that for me. That being said there are a handful of items that I would like to see in the product (many are now in their product roadmap). - in Detail sales reports, I would like to see the tax locality (county/city) to assist in filling out monthly excise tax reports. - I would like to have an integrated reservation system (which is in the works) - The POS device support is adequate, but would like to see an updated piece of hardware (also in the works). > > The team at Bottle360 have been great to work with. They really assisted in getting my deployment up and running. This included all my historical data, customer information, wine club data and credit cards on file transferred. This made the adoption of a new product, much more manageable. As my implementation went live, I have had great communication with their team to help customize my deployment to my needs.
