Pay for what you get
We have been very happy with the consistency in the service with Guesty and look to integrate more services so we more things are done in a centralised place. There was an issue with technical support and the way they dealt with us but I would say that is getting better. This was purely down to how quickly a ticket was getting closed due to impatience to respond. In this circumstance I didn't like the fact that the customers service is put at a lower importance than the technical support workers time. This isn't a good enough attitude.
Pros
The ease of use when managing properties at scale. Live calendar syncing is always working and if there are any issues with the software we have technical support always available.
Cons
It is more expensive than competitors but the functions and infrastructure in place in Guesty allows you to justify the cost.

Property owner's perspective.
They should just give the owner the management interface and let the property manager decide what features / information the owner has access too.
Pros
Most importantly, channel management works well.
Cons
The property owner's portal is terrible. Lacks information, to the point I feel like they are trying to conceal information from the owner.

Great but pricey
Customer service is not great, their salespeople want to sell products so they offer special deals and free trials but they end up charging you anyway regardless of the "trial" and not honouring their deals.
Other technical issues get sorted in an OK timeframe.
Pros
It saves me a lot of time compared to my previous property management systems. The automation is great and the unified inbox works well.
I can pull lots of different reservation reports but there are little to no analytics on the business unless you pay an additional fee per property.
Cons
Its costly and accounting is very complicated and analytics are very limited, everything is an additional expense which is very frustrating.

Love hate relationship
Overall the system does what I most need it too, i am paying a premium price for using only a small fraction of the features. I believe there are features that would be great and helpful additions for me, but finding the time and help to work through them is difficult
Pros
I purchased Guesty when we had 6 rental cabins about 4 years ago and we are now up to 10 and adding another 1-2 this next year. I needed to final a solution that kept all my management, booking information, and communications in one spot, instead of multiple sources. I love that I can make changes to pricing, unit details, policies, etc in one place and it pushes out to all booking sources instead of having to log in to several places to make the changes
Cons
Support is the biggest let down. There are so many features in Guesty that I have not figured out how to use because the pages of manuals they have online to figure it out are not user friendly and support won’t take time to walk you through things. Many of the features I use I have had to be figured out through trial and error.

The worst choice ever
How sad that guesty is selling itself as a working software!!! For me guesty is a big disappointment!!!!
This is the 3rd software what im using, first I used HOSTIFY, i didnt like it, after I used OCTORATE, much better then guesty, and much cheaper too. I had some things what was missing from octorate, thats why i needed a top software to be able to grow, and to have less work, using a great system. When the sales team was selling me this product, [sensitive content hidden] is his name, he told me that Guesty has everything, everything works and now after a bit more then 2 month i can see that this was all a lie. Cheaper products are working better!!!!! DONT BUY THIS SOFTWARE.... I came in because i thought if i pay more i will have a guarantee to have the quality. Im managing more then 60 apartments so I really need a good software.
And nothing like this!!! I HAVE TO CLOSE MANUALLY SINCE 2 MONTH!! for all of my more then 60 apartments each month, because this functionality doesnt work. even when im paying for a special accounting mode...I cant even give an invoice for my guests with them details, my property owners cant see anything on them"landing page", because there is not even owner portal. Tasks are not working, there is no translation (in Spain at least) for messages between me and guests, and sooo on!! Whoever needs more info can contact me!! BIG BIG SCAM, and big big disappointment!!!! Im already looking for another software.

As they promised me, they said i could do many things, but i only have a basic multicalendar without option for bulk edition, etc.

Guesty is a Great Solution for Vacation Rental Management
My overall experience with Guesty has been superb. From the sales agent who negotiated a price within my parameters, to the onboarding team and the support team, I have no complaints. I feel I have a partnership with this company and the main goal is for everyone to succeed.
Pros
(1) Tech support is awesome. I have monthly meetings with my Guesty success partner which really helps to get the maximum benefit from the software. I have questions, he gets me answers. When I have suggestions for future roll outs, he forwards them to the design team. (2) The company continues to evolve with the demands of their clients. (3) One of the main reasons I switched to Guesty was for the trust accounting component. I need and want everything in one place and Guesty has it. (4) Guesty is always rolling out new features or improving existing features. I love anything that allows me to do what I do better and more efficiently. Working smarter not harder is a primary goal.
Cons
After using 2 other vacation rental platforms, my one con applies to them all, and that is the time it takes to set it up. This is a feature rich platform, so I don't know how it could be made easier or faster. However, Guesty will walk you through every feature to get you set up. It is a process and not an overnight task.

AVOID - DO NOT BUY FROM GUESTY IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO SCALE
Extremely poor and unsatisfied considering the amount of money you have to pay, which is ludricious to begin with - we regret moving from uplisting to guesty.
Pros
NOTHING - their support is EXTRMELY SLOW- their systems DO NOT WORK! we have had so many syncing issues, its caused double bookings, really unhappy guests, and we have looked stupid in front of our investors. We regret with our heart to have chosen guesty. We will 100% be changing the platforms.
Cons
The onboarding integration migration is EXTREMELY POOR. The systems don't work, you will get double bookings. The support team won't help fast enough.

Fantastic CRM
The system was easy to learn but does need further development to be 5/5. [sensitive content hidden]
however our CRM gets a 10/5 ( I know not possible but it is true) he is amazing.
Pros
The best thing about Guesty is the backup support from [sensitive content hidden]
our CRM. He is on the ball and always ready to assist in any way he can.
Cons
Slowness in the development team rectifying issues. They need more staff so things that create more work than necessary are rectified in less time than 3 months!

Truly the elite PMS
After dealing with two other PMS, and demoing a couple more I can confidently say it's the best out there and worth the price tag.
Pros
I appreciate the hands-on support and dedicated team that know us and our situation, there's never a need to repeat issues to random support members.
Cons
My only issue is some of the guest communications don't appear until a reservation is confirmed.

Guesty is a good tool and getting better over time.
Overall the experience is good. We enjoy using it. We do hope that the product will grow over time.
Pros
There is a lot of functionality in the tool. I'm not a huge fan of how the tool is laid out, but it does everything we need it to do. It helps us manage 30 vacation rentals that are booked frequently.
Cons
There are a few too many switches and places that need to be confirmed. Once you know how to do it, its not too bad, but the learning curve of the product is much longer then it should be.

Overall, the experience is quite smooth, with most of the daily work being done in Guesty. The customer support response time is also good, and they generally provide timely assistance.
Pros
Multiple user support makes it ideal for online team collaboration. The reservation form feature is very convenient for filtering diverse lists for statistics. Automation greatly reduces the workload for customer support.
Cons
The inbox filtering options are not comprehensive enough. Property address modifications often fail to save correctly and frequently require customer support assistance. The visible time range in the owner portal cannot be set.

False Advertisement simply.
Guesty does NOT have SUPPORT. Though the sales team are "escalating the issue" or "handling it" or "contacting support on our behalf". All we have are messages saying to put a payment processor. We asked for a direct call with support to address these serious issues. The Answer: Support is "evaluating the best way to get back to you regarding that" . Yup...They don't know about phones, direct emails, Google Meet, Zoom, Face time, Whatsapp Video etc...They're evaluating!One thing that DOES WORK though...is INVOICING. We've been invoiced:1- An integration that still has not happened2- Monthly invoices for a software that is costing us tons of time and moneyAnyway.. Now with HOSTAWAY and they are honest and know their product.

Simply put...False advertisement.I have been a Vacation Rental Manager for the last 15 years and have used a large array of channel software. We decided the switch to Guesty in October . It was a tight decision between Hostaway and Guesty. We do not use a payment pocessor.We went with Guesty. It has now been a few months and nothing we were told about the aspects of the software is true in our case.Guesty does NOT have a UNIFIED INBOX. Website and Vrbo not covered.Guesty does NOT manage BOOKINGS. You cannot set up reminders for upcoming balance based on your booking schedule. It has to be done manually. Guesty is NOT SAFE. While on a chat with a guest, the chat of another guest appeared! So guest information is not even safe.Guesty is NOT a CHANNEL MANAGER . Special price variations like short stays do not populate to all channels. Only to our website and not other channels. Bummer. Guesty does NOT work without a payment processor. Even though we precised this and were assured it would work.Guesty does NOT CALCULATE booking payments. INTEGRATION does NOT take 5 weeks.

Brilliant Service
Guesty has been a truly fantastic short term management tool. As an organization that deals with over 50 properties, automating payment and check in instructions alone makes this platform well worth the cost. Use Guesty as a last resort
They are a good stepping stone to help you gain the knowledge and experience needed when determining what you want from a software company. We are exploring alternatives, but at least we now know what to look for because of how bad it is at Guesty.
Pros
I liked the onboarding of guesty. You have to pay $1000 for it, but get a dedicated person that walks you through almost everything.
Cons
They force you use there credit card processing or stripe, charge you an additional 1%, basic webiste is horrible, advanced website costs another percentage point, when they integrate new channels they charge for it (google costs another 1%), customer service is horrible and only emails when issues need immediate attention (your waiting around for a minimum of 10-24 hours, and usually will solve it before they even respond).

Communications Point Of View
In general it has been good, guesty has many functions and I have not discovered them all yet but it has been very useful to develop our functions.
Pros
I really like being able to have access to integrated communication channels in the same channel and the customization of responses and tools to optimize the time and reach of our team and guests.
Cons
The fact that it doesn't update automatically really messes me up a bit. Sometimes it doesn't show me the correct property and having to refresh the page for each chat causes a delay in our daily functions.
