What drivers get: Drivers use the Digital Permit Book mobile app on iOS or Android. One-Tap Inspection (DOT Mode) puts every required document on one screen, so a driver can hand an inspector what they ask for in seconds. Documents are stored on the device, so they open even at scale houses and in dead zones with no signal. Documents follow the vehicle and trailer a driver is assigned to, so the right registration, insurance, and permits are always the ones on screen. Drivers can also fill out custom forms such as DVIRs, upload files with File Drop, keep receipts and maintenance records, and ask the built-in AI assistant FMCSA and DOT questions at any hour. QR codes for each truck and trailer give another way to open that equipment's documents with any phone camera.

What safety and fleet managers get: A web dashboard shows every driver, vehicle, trailer, and company document with its expiration date. Track permits, registrations, IRP cab cards, IFTA, insurance, annual inspections, DOT inspection reports, bills of lading, detention forms, and safety records. Driver qualification files cover CDLs, medical certificates, annual MVRs, and drug and alcohol testing records, and DQ Mode exports a file in an audit-ready format. Automatic alerts go out 30, 15, and 7 days before anything expires. Upload documents in bulk, up to 1,000 at a time, and the AI document tool reads, sorts, and assigns them for you. When a document is updated once, every assigned driver has the current version immediately.

Integrations: Digital Permit Book syncs drivers, vehicles, and trailers with Samsara, Motive, Geotab, Isaac, and Platform Science, and it works alongside your existing TMS rather than replacing it. Enterprise plans add SSO (Okta, Azure), webhooks, an open API and MCP, and custom integrations.
