Great Use for All healthcare field workers.
Overall i think its necessary for hospitals to use this system because of its access to handle as much information as it can.
Pros
I appreciate the functionality of EPIC and how its manages the files of all our patients in our hospital and different hospitals.
Cons
It sometimes feel like its too much to look at sometimes. when its so much information it sometimes can be a bit much to handle when in a hectic situation.

Meh........
I had to use it while in medical school. Although I have used worse (Cerbo), I have used better (Elation). I wouldn't choose it if given the choice.
Pros
Neutral colors. Smart phrases that the user creates make for great shortcuts.
Cons
Multiple screens making it difficult to find things. It's like playing hide and seek, and not often successfully.

Epic is EPIC!
Pros
Epic is an EMR that replaces the need for multiple complex systems. Out of the box, it is excellent, however becomes even more powerful as you continue to customize to your needs.
Cons
It can only be directly purchased if you are meet the minimums. I have individual providers I know who'd love to use it in their smaller practice.

Not the best or the worst
I give it a fair experience. Because of how slow it is sometimes
Pros
I like how everything is so condensed. But at the same time you still have everything that you need. When something goes wrong it seems like they jump straight on the problem.
Cons
It’s soooo slow sometimes. I feel like it crashes when everyone is on at one time.

Epic Review
I have a positive experience with Epic tracking revenue cycle KPIs for a large healthcare organization.
Pros
It is easy to access real-time clinical and financial data in one system. It is easy to navigate and find patient information.
Cons
It hard to track historical data if we are trying to trend denials.

Epic is Aweful
Exhausting. Worst system I’ve used for documenting notes and workflow.
Pros
Billing and coding. I believe this is why it was purchased
Cons
Takes forever to document a visit. Too many clicks. Hard stops. Too many ways to do tasks. Workflow is terrible.

The worst end
It’s not designed to help pts. It’s designed to maximize billing .
Pros
Care everywhere helps with looking at info from other institutions
Cons
The implementation of this software at our hospital was a disaster. Orders were incorrect . Some medications were 10x the dose. There were no epic super users nearby. Because orders were built incorrectly, a pharmacist could change an order of mine without my cosignature and it was an erroneous change that could have resulted in a patient death. There is no quality control with the rollout . Many of the treatment plans were incorrect so you have to place a ticket for everything. The training was poor so most people don’t know how to use it so you have to change everything . The problem list takes forever to clean up. There are alerts that go off constantly, many of which are incorrect. You can be in the middle of an order and an alert pops up. There are hundreds of canceled orders that aren’t really canceled . Same with overdue orders. I mean there is no way for a human to distinguish the important stuff from the noise . The inbasket is horrible to use because you can’t include your nurse or scheduler on the same message as your pt and because it’s flooded with messages. Your phone constantly goes off in the middle of the night with critical alerts even though a nocturnist is in the hospital and can actually address these issues. But you are the one being woken up. Unfortunately because epic has a monopoly and because hospital administrators who don’t have to use this make all the decisions, they chose this software because it maximizes billing . It is demoralizing .

User-friendly Service
Pros
EpicCare is easy to navigate and is visually appealing. The simplicity in its design makes it very user-friendly and provides efficiency.
Cons
I do not particularly like that there is no user guide to show all the features EpicCare offers. I am aware that EpicCare has numerous tools and resources that can especially be useful in my role as a Research Coordinator. It is difficult finding those tools and learning how to best use them without guidance.

EpicCare is a great EMR
Overall it's a good application, though sometimes with Citrix it can be hard to launch, but that's a Citrix issue.
Pros
Responsive and stable, good to access data from other institutions
Cons
UI is a little bit crowded. Getting to know the interface can take some time.

Epic is my favorite system to use
Overall it is one of the easiest health care systems I have used. I wish all facilities had this program.
Pros
The best part about Epic is that its an easy system to use and all the information is in the patients chart.
Cons
You do have to do a little digging into the charts to find out older information on the patient.

EpicCare Review
We really enjoy EpicCare so far and plan on implementing it in other clinics.
Pros
I really liked how easy EpicCare is to work with. You can move around from patient to patient, labs, procedures, etc. with ease.
Cons
I thought the scheduling aspect of EpicCare was a little cumbersome. I don't work with scheduling much though.

Has made my job easier
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who I know needs help in the patient setup/service in the medical field. It’s also a huge help in the revenue cycle as well.

One of the best
Pros
There are so many things you can do with epic, as far as patient care, it’s excellent to sync all of the persons info to one place. It’s easy to input data, and easy to review. I consider it to be a safe software and feel confident it protects the information that’s entered.
Cons
The only con is that it can be overwhelming, especially if you’re trying to teach someone who isn’t great with computers in general. Once you know what you’re doing it flows smoothly.

Ability for complete healthcare management via one software is a game changer.
Pros
As both a clinical, healthcare worker and healthcare manager, epic is very much the ideal EMR. Not only is it easy to use and train new staff on but having everything needed for different positions within the clinic and hospital is extremely valuable. being able to customize views for different positions, as well as access levels order writing has been very helpful
Cons
Because epic is so integrated and allows health services to function completely. It is a very expensive software, and may not be reasonable for a single provider or very small, healthcare operation.

Epic - Great idea, terrible in practice
Difficult and frustrating, as it delays care and charting when it goes down or causes issues due to lack of adjustment that can be done to expand on info or change info
Pros
Useful due to the amount of shared info between hospitals systems and doctors,
Makes consistent treatment easier and more accurate
Cons
Too many tabs, too many drop down boxes and limitations to what can be documented, constantly freezing, going down or causing errors

Oh so easy to use
Pros
Being both a builder and a user of several ehrs I do believe that this product is is very user-friendly. I am in a nurse informaticist. And the features and functionality available truly help arcare providers be able to care for and document the care they give.
Cons
I do believe there are several kinds and maybe it's just with what has happened within our organization but there is an ability to have too many variations in documentation which leads to discrepancy. Additionally from what I understand from the AC and am there is not a good way to search for these discrepancies in the system once they are built. The AC and am's that are sent to support future go lives as in our instance where we added on 14 new hospitals they did not have the level of experience to support our organization.
