Good for those who have several accounting clients.
My experience is pretty good as I use it for about 40 clients. It is better priced that other accounting systems, but the have price increases often. I do not like that they attempt to offer their accounting services to my accounting clients.
Pros
I love the convenience. I can work from anywhere in the world.
Cons
The system is a little expense and glitchy a times.

QuickBooks Online a powerful tool
Great tool for collaboration with the team. Reports are easily customizable. QBO has so much potential if you learn what works for you. It can do so much more than be a simple accounting system.
Pros
Ease of Accessibility. Work from anywhere.
Cons
QBO app needs some help. Needs to more closely match the website. If you depend on the app on an iPad, use the website the reports and location of menus is better on the web instead.

Desktop is much better
I have used it several times since it first came out and don't see much improvement. I do not like it.
Pros
easy for everyone to log in remotely. It is cheaper (for now)
Cons
does not have the same functionality as Desktop. No Loan Manager (which has been deleted from the latest updates of QB Desktop anyhow). Not easy to create adhoc reports or search for things.

Quickbooks Online is a Driving Force
My overall experience with Quickbooks Online has been extremely positive. I was very nervous when first switching from a desktop version to the online version but now that I have, I don't think I could switch back. I often compare the two to driving a manual vs. automatic car. Quickbooks Online sets things up to be very easy, intuitive and fast where the desktop version seemed to need much more set up and need more knowledge of bookkeeping to enter different tasks in correctly. QBO explains many of the options right in the entry spaces so you understand what everything is right away.
Pros
The thing I like most about Quickbooks Online is the ease in navigating the tools I need. It is very intuitive and I can figure out what I need to do with very little help, which makes getting my actual work done faster. Another favorite feature is being able to export my lists and searches to other programs such as Excel. And the transaction search is a life-saver.
Cons
The thing I like least about Quickbooks Online is a necessary evil, unfortunately...the updates. I get in my routine and rhythm when entering information in the system, but I find that a lot of the updates, which I know are necessary for an ever changing technology, tend to add steps to my process and can slow me down and take time to get used to. Many of the updates, in my opinion, are fairly useless and seems like they are updating things just to say they updated it at a designated time.

Terrible service, buggy and hasn't worked since day 1.
Terrible. Onboarding call couldn't take place for over 2 weeks because they didn't have available slots so I had to wing it. Then haven't been able to send out quotes and invoices because there is a "known bug engineers are working on" - that's been for a month now and no joy. Whenever they try to confirm your issue they add a future pacing scenario. Let's just solve the problem that exists before getting into the future wishes! I honestly can't figure out how they are still in business, because this is so terrible. I'm in Singapore so am getting service attached to that territory. Initially my onboarding went through to australia and was cancelled a minute before the call saying I had to book in with singapore - but it was the link i was given. Note that I could get on an onboarding call the same day with australia and had to wait 2 weeks in Singapore. They seem to have different IT systems and service level acceptance rates for different countries.
Pros
the interface and ease of use. Easy to see in a snapshot where my business is. Shame quickbooks causes that picture to be bad since clients can't get invoices to pay me and I can't get new business because they don't get quotes either. Just discovered that these were no longer going through.
Cons
absolutely everything else, especially the support desk who are completely useless. How is it ever OK to be in a conversation with helpdesk for an hour and them still not get to the issue to solve and every time they try to clarify, they get it wrong? This isn't an hour waiting. This is an hour in conversation - granted slowed down because, as they admitted, they were serving multiple people at once. The fact that the software doesn't work and their engineers can't solve issues is a major red flag.

The more advanced the more disappointed in the product
I was a prior desktop user and found that to be a superior product much fewer duplications and hangups and easier to clean up errors. The answer is always to consult a expert through them and I have found that even they cant fix the probems and I waste more time and money.
Pros
Its was easy to use and integrates with a lot of programs.
Cons
It frequently duplicates import data and you can not back it off. It requires journal entries. The new AI interface and passkey are a failure. Contatntly locking up and taking hours out of the users day to get resolved. No support after hours costing clients more money. The higjer the price has gone the less reliable the platform has become . Very diappointing.

Needs improvement not a good desktop replacement
The basics work as good as the desktop version. The reporting needs major improvements. The ability to create and manage reports for projects, project location and reps is minimal to none, this needs to change. It is slow and lags, not responsive. Custom reports need major re design. Have been using online for 3 years, used desktop for 20.
Pros
Online access available where ever you are. The basic functions are similar to the desktop version.
Cons
Switched due to no more support for desktop version. Online has come a long way however it is still lacking compared to Desktop. It is not subcontractor friendly, it has limited reporting for projects and reps. The app is very slow and laggy. Reports are not as customizable as desktop, they are also difficult to create, and have been over complicated for users. They have forced a modern view for reports that is HORRIBLE.

Mostly positive, not perfect
Overall positive; it has all the functionality and tools youd want/need. Project tracking and its integration with financial statements could be streamlined (like you have to allocate payroll time to projects before runing payroll for it to allocate on the financials correctly and that information is buried to find). Wouldnt recommend payroll services, but as an accounting and data management system QBO is great. The ability to easily addd team members and accountants is great.
Pros
Ease of sharing and integration; bank feeds are good when they work
Cons
Customer support is questionable and relies on canned responses to most things that are google-able by the user and have already been attempted. PNC is a major bank and the bank feed connections with it suck. If you can even get it connected they frequently get disconnected. I understand its pnc's structure and security but theyre a major bank and it should be smoother. Also the payroll options are horrendous and if anything goes awry goodluck trying to get it fixed since most things are locked and not viewable or manually fixable and require support who barely know what theyre doing (especially a problem for Ohio and PA local taxes)

Pros

QB Online Great for Beginners
Overall QB online is a cost-effective, user-friendly system which I will continue to use as our business grows. For reference, we have grown to multiple seven figures in revenue and will not be leaving QB anytime soon!
Pros
I have been using QB online since I first started our business in 2018 as a complete beginner. QB online has quite an intuitive interface and an excellent customer support service as needed. The online forums are also well answered so you can look things up as you need.
Cons
The mobile app does not allow you to access any payroll features. Also, there are times when the automatic banking download feed does not work correctly and you need manually enter any missed transactions. Lastly, they recently changed to being charged per employee at each payroll run, so if you have staff which are away, or part time workers, you have to manually change their status each payroll run so as to not get charged - this is a new change and a nuisance.

Helps keep my life organized
QuickBooks Online has helped me manage all my accounts for many years now. Helps me track all of my expenses. My favorite part is the free invoicing, I can now save money and not have to pay for invoices. They have everything to keep you organized at a great price.
Pros
Pros: Easy to use, affordable, easy to manage and track all of my accounts, business and personal. You can even make invoices to give to your clients.
Cons
Cons: The only thing that I found confusing at first was the layout because it was a lot different then the old software I was using. Like anything it just takes a bit of getting use to.

QBO Expensive but Efficient for Well-Trained Bookkeepers
Overall, QBO is an efficient product and a well-trained bookkeeper could scale tremendously with this cloud based software. However, if you're new, you're going to get confused about the various levels of subscriptions. What new service will be behind a new paywall in the future?
Pros
QBO is pretty simple for the most part. There are advanced features available in the advanced version, but the simplicity remains true with a double-entry accounting system. Bank Feeds are absolutely great if used correctly. App Integration is plentiful.
Cons
We could not make QBO fit our construction workflows in the way we used them in Enterprise Desktop. Jobs and Items do not behave the same way. In addition, the costs feel expensive on a per-entity basis. Very expensive. Right now it makes more sense to pay a one-time fee for QuickBooks Desktop and have as many companies as you want.

Pitiful and frustrating, can't get anyone other that general technical support on the phone and they don't give a shit that I am locked out of our business account due to they own system failing with no safe guard in place to avoid it.
Pros
Nothing at the moment, considering I have been booted from my account. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Cons

I wish this wasn’t the default software
It is really buggy. It skipped some of my captures from my bank accounts and it double counted some of what I was capturing without it actually being double entry. It threw off my numbers by forcing me to integrate with PayPal.
Pros
I like that it integrates with a lot of platforms.
Cons
It is a bloated software that is overly complicated and yet is so crucial for so many small business owners to use. It’s a system that makes it requirement practically that a small business owner has to hire a expert to set it up and manage it. This is not feasible nor is it new small business owner friendly.

A giant leap forward for Quickbooks
Back when I was young my programmer boyfriend gave me a Quickbooks disc for my computer. Now I was strait As in accounting in school but I couldn't figure the darned thing out! I gave up! So I was skeptical when Quickbooks online came out. I reluctantly tried it and boy have they come a long way! Much more user-friendly than back in the 1990s!! Night and day!!
Pros

Customer service has gone severely downhill with Quickbooks
Collaboration and customer service are nonexistent with this company. Nobody is on the same page. I talked to one person who told me to cancel my merchant account, which I'd been using for 4+ years, because they couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. After over an hour on the phone this representative had me cancel my account and informed me that he would call me in 3 business days, once the cancelation could process, one Monday at 1:00pm and set up a new merchant account for me.
Three days later a different Quickbooks rep called me to schedule an appointment to set up my merchant account. I informed her I already had an appointment with the gentleman I spoke with a few days ago, he knows what's going on with everything. She said she didn't know what I was referring to and so I set up an appointment for a couple of days later.
Finally, I got a call to set up my merchant account so I can start invoicing like I have been for the last few years and accepting card payment through an emailed link. I am informed that because I am setting up a new account, I no longer get the same rates/fees as I had before because those were grandfathered in with my old account. So now, instead of my $15.00 cap on AHC transactions that I had had and been using for over 3 years, had been replaced with a 1% fee on all AHC transactions. I am a General Contractor and most of the invoices people pay are $10,000.00 or more which means now instead of paying $15.00 on that transaction I pay $100.00.
The lady who set up my new merchant account, of course, has no idea why the original person I spoke with had me cancel the account in the first place but that there was nothing she could do to help me and nobody she could transfer me to would be able to help figure out why the person had me cancel my merchant account or help me reinstate my original fee structure.
It's very suspicious how this all happened, and I will be looking for alternative Accounting software.
Pros
Quickbooks has sufficed as a basic, constantly changing, discombobulated bookkeeper/invoicing platform.
Cons
Nobody that can be gotten a hold of to resolve issues know what is going on with the company they work for or have the knowledge or power to do anything about it.

Quickbooks is automated and easy
I really have enjoyed using Quickbooks Online to do our accounting tasks in a simplified manner, during our time using it and as a real estate organization, it's difficult to keep track of every expense, but with Quickbooks it has been easy to keep an eye on everything and have good analytics and reports about our performance and our income. The tools offered by Quickbooks are so intuitive and allows us to grow financially thanks to its automated features that cut a lot of the time and energy that we can spend finding more clients and engaging with them.
Pros
Quickbooks Online is an easy-to-use platform that changes the way our finances are done. I specially like the way everything is simplified from the desktop version (which if you have already used, this one will be very easy to get used to), and having one single place to organize all of our bills and pay them right on the website is so beneficial to us because we don't have to go through other applications to do so, just by allowing Quickbooks to make this process for us we already save so much time.
Another favorite feature of mine is the option to manage all our taxes inside the platform and we have been able to contact their customer support when we have any question about our taxes, which is amazing. Additionally, I love that it has so many integrations with different apps that just make everything more convenient to use because it allows us to complete our tasks efficiently and the synchronization of data goes smoothly.
Cons
I wish it was more cost efficient, despite all the amazing features that it includes in its variety of plans, the price is still quite high and not customizable to what we actually need, I wish they added more customization features to the pricing plans so that it can be adjusted accordinly to our budget. Aside from that, sometimes there are issues loading the data when you first open the platform, this has happened quite often and it is something that bothers me but it's still a great program.

QuickBooks Online - A Product Not Maintained
In ten years with QuickBooks Online, I never had to contact their Online Support. After seeing issues with the way QuickBooks Online was performing their accounting functions, I was informed there were over 10,000 errors in the database. Maintenance of the online database in the cloud is QuickBooks responsibility, not mine. After they requested I pay for fixing of their online database, I knew I was done with this company.
Pros
QuickBooks Online has numerous positive features and ton of automation. My HOA used QuickBooks Online for ten years.
Cons
QuickBooks Technical Department was not able to maintain their Online Cloud Database. After seeing numerous errors in the way QuickBooks Online was performing accounting, I contacted QuickBooks Online Technical Support. They informed me their was over 10,000 errors in the database they were tasked with maintaining. Then they insisted I pay between $850 to $1,350 to fix the database they were suppose to maintain on an ongoing basis. I informed them I needed to be with a more reliable & responsible company, so I cancelled after 10 years of use and moved to another online accounting product.

I have a great experience with QuickBooks
I’ve been using QuickBooks Online for my small business, and overall, it’s been a great experience. The software simplifies complex accounting tasks like invoicing, tracking expenses, and running payroll. I really appreciate how it automates many processes, saving me a lot of time. One of the features I like most is the cloud-based access—I can manage my finances from anywhere, which is a huge plus, especially when traveling or working remotely. The integration with other tools, like PayPal, has been seamless, which makes managing transactions easier. However, there is a bit of a learning curve, especially when it comes to navigating the more advanced features. It took me a while to fully utilize all the reports and data management options. That said, the customer support has been responsive and their help resources, like tutorials, are pretty helpful. The pricing is decent for what you get, but I find it can get expensive as you add users or features, such as payroll or inventory management.
Pros
1.Easy invoicing and expense tracking
2.Cloud-based access for remote work
3.Integration with popular platforms like PayPal
4.Responsive customer support
Cons
1.Steeper learning curve for advanced features
2.Can become pricey with add-ons

If you want QuickBooks, QBO is about the only option but it's not a great one
The product does what it is asked to do but conversions are far from streamlined and the end user experience overall is not as good as it was with their desktop products. It's awesome as an accountant to be able to work on a live file at pretty much any time but you pay dearly for that convenience. Intuit's official stance is that they are phasing out their desktop products besides Enterprises (which is 200-300% more than Desktop Premier before) so if you are a new user you might never know that QBO is an inferior product. But it is compared to desktop and they have lost a lot of market share with their forced migration last year.
Pros
QuickBooks Online's main strength is ease of use. It's built around the checkbook and it is designed to automate tasks like payroll, bill paying, and even invoicing. It is a browser based cloud software so you do not need to download software and that means it can be used anywhere in the world. Your accountant can work with you in real time without sending a copy of your information via email so it's more efficient when collaborating because it can even be opened on your mobile device.
Cons
The cost of QBO is not competitive and the product is vastly inferior to their desktop products. If you want automated payroll it better fit neatly into their one size fits all packages. Want quarterly payroll? Not an option unless you want to handle it manually each quarter - and you better do it by the last day because there is no such thing as after the fact with automated payroll. I would estimate desktop users who switch will pay 100% more (at least) for an inferior cloud based product that is much less dynamic than desktop. Support folks are not accountants and most clearly do not use the software but rather work off a script to get you off the phone so if you need help, google is a better option that Intuit support.

QB Online is not like QB Desktop -- Know before you go!
It has been difficult to convert our data from Desktop and the loss of ability to have multiple invoice templates from different departments has caused us to restructure our billing procedures.

Cons
The functionality of the software in terms of reporting and templates is a step down if you are used to QuickBooks Desktop.

QuickBooks Online is just okay.
I only use QuickBooks Online because it is the lesser of all the evils. Desktop was a way better product, but it has gotten overpriced and I am afraid they will phase it out eventually.
Pros
QuickBooks Online is great for the average business owner, because it is user-friendly. As an accountant/bookkeeper, I like that I can access it wherever I am working...I just need wifi.
Cons
The bank feeds are not reliable and I don't have time to get authorization codes from each of my clients when the feeds stop working. I won't give my clients access to the QBO files because I don't want QB poaching my clients with all of the live bookkeeper ads. There also needs to be a better way to enter bank transactions manually like desktop. Bank feeds are too glitchy to rely on.

Standing By the Integration Features in Quickbooks Online Software
Overall, From beginning to end, and with out a doubt, i highly recommend quickbooks online to both business owners or just someone looking to make filing their taxes a little more simple come tax time; by utilizing a software that really covers it all. I regret not one payment made to this software. As a subscription/account holder I get what i need and then some, making the values of the software over what you pay for the service. I definently feel as though i get my moneys worth out of this program. This software features multiple ways of connecting a helping hand towards other business matters or personal finance organization, which is great for my circumstance. A wonderful software, ease of access, comfort/peace of mind granted through the integration features offered through, and in connection to this software. I highly rate Quickbooks online, and after years of use have consistently recommended this software to collegues, friends, and family.
Pros
As for my personal experience with quickbooks online, I have rated this software highly. As there are several diverse atributes to my liking, one that stands out the most for me is the integration feature. As a business owner this feature has been optimal for my use in the office and for my personal financing. I have integrated my CRM software with my quickbooks online account, which eliviates so much time and grants the ease of knowing record is being kept of my customer relations as needed. I have integrated that of each of my banking accounts, both business and personal, and have not a single complaint thus far. This is of years worth of continued use with the software. I am a paid subscriber with quickbooks online. I am billed monthly for the subscription. Ive used quickbooks online for approximately 4 years, and will continue on as a very pleased customer.
Cons
As for what i care for the least about quickbooks online is something very managable, for it came with feasible solution. When i first began with the software it did take some getting used to. I am technologically advanced in both system softwares and application softwares. So, in knowing that, and going in equipt with the basic foundation or fundamentals in operation i feel the software might could use a bit more user friendly features or functions that target the ones going into a software that doesnt have these to their advantage, for say.

I Do Not Recommend
Horrible. Seems like yet another company interested only in their bottom line. Not their customers, not their products, not their employees.
Pros
Once you get the hang of it, it's an acceptable solution.
Cons
The link between my bank and my QBO instance breaks every single day. Why I'm forced to click an 'Update' button instead of it automatically updating something like once an hour is crazy, too.
Not intuitive. If you think you're going to be able to manage your books using QBO without any finance or business background, think again. If you are starting off with relatively little experience, expect to watch hours upon hours of tutorial videos and essentially train yourself to do the job of a finance manager, bookkeeper, or accountant.
Customer service/support is beyond horrible. I scheduled to have someone call me several weeks ago. At the time that I was expecting a call, I received an email indicating that my appointment had been changed to a week later. I emailed the representative, but received no reply. At the time of that appointment, no one called me. This is after numerous emails and texts to remind me of the appointment. So, I called the main number myself and was passed around from one person to another, often ending up with the "Payments Team" who after some discussion said, "I don't know why they would've transferred you to me." I asked to speak to manager/supervisor. I was informed that I'd be on hold for a while. I asked if they could just call me at a later time and was told, "that's not how the process works."
I plan to close my QuickBooks accounts and will be sure not to use any of Intuit's services moving forward.

Best Accounting Software in the Industry for Business Owners
I have been using them for years, I highly recommend them. They are the industry standard for accounting software because they are so well known and used. It makes my CPA's life and mine so easy come tax season. It takes less than 30 minutes to prepare, and all I have to do is print out my monthly and year end P&L.
Pros
I love the mobile app which makes it super easy to review expenses and income live time and make sure things are categorized correctly. It is very intuitive to use, and saves me so much time. And provides peace of mind of knowing my financials for my business are right at my fingertips on my phone or computer.
Cons
I had a glitch in bank accounts re-synching after an upgrade in software the other year. Which caused myself and my bookkeeper some extra work at the end of the year to reconcile, but the updates were worth it.

Good Value accounting software online

Helpful support: QuickBooks offers reliable customer support through various channels, including phone, email, and chat. I often able to get my problem sloved immediately with the customer support team
Pros
Intuitive interface: The software is designed to be user-friendly, even for those without extensive accounting knowledge. Quick setup: It's relatively easy to set up and start using, saving time and effort.
Cons

Very strong "good" position
Starting from 2022 as a second user in the company I now can be the only one user since I have access to almost everything that I need for keeping small company on waves. Almost all the question about how to find user-friendly options can be found just online or from QuickBooks support forum.
Pros
Having different type of statements and reports, especially the customized one, that can be created via QB.
Cons
The process of inactivation after 15-30 minutes without activity.

If you are an attorney, just go with Clio Accounting; Quickbooks might be longer in business,...
Why is QB becoming so expensive? I originally chose QB because of loyalty to Intuit. I tried for a while but trying to get my finances in order after so long of commingling my business and personal accounts became too much. When I decided to try it again recently, now I am far priced out as a small business and as far as I know, the services are the same. I found the price hike highly disappointing. It was a good time to find out Clio began offering accounting for attorneys
Pros
I liked that it integrates with Clio as well as the other intuit product line; the interface is fairly navigable, but i am unsure the pros outweigh certain drawbacks
Cons
QB was fine, a bit hard to understand for a non-accountant; but I guess that could be because i never made use of their expert help and insisted on onboarding myself totally manually as a new businessperson

Don't be lured from QB Desktop to Online. You won't like it.
Poorly designed program. There are much better options out there if Intuit is going to force people off Desktop with their ridiculous price increases.
Pros
Cloud based that I could access from anywhere
Cons
Just about everything else. It's menus are poorly designed, and even accounting professionals have difficulty figuring out how to enter various transactions. Something as simple as "Make deposit" or "Enter credit card transaction" requires digging. The reports are terrible. The initial Chart of Accounts that new clients are set up with is horrendous. Most small businesses don't need half the accounts they start you out with, and there is no way to Delete after they are set up. When you click on the dropdown menu to find the right account when entering a transaction, there is no rhyme nor reason to the order they show up in, unlike Desktop where the Assets were on top, then Liabilities, Equity, Income & Expense all sorted alphabetically. The column widths are not set correctly by default - some are way wider than they need to be, others like the Memo column are chopped off so you can't see half of what was entered there. You can then mess around with it to try and resize everything, but when you print it doesn't looks like the screen and is still not legible. Most CPA"s I know have just given up and instead export the report to Excel and them modify it there (big time waster). In addition, Intuit has ads embedded everywhere in their software to try and promote all their other products and services. They also try to lure clients over from Desktop with cheap initial pricing. We've all seen what they did with the Desktop pricing, which has gone up over 800% in 4 years. Never have I seen a company that had accumulated 25+ years of Goodwill with happy customers destroy their relationship with them in such a short period of time.

Not in like with QuickBooks
Unfortunately my customer service experience with them has been atrocious. Even their “trained” customer service representatives don’t know what they are doing.
Pros
Invoicing is very easy and it’s great to be able to import account transactions into QuickBooks online.
Cons
Complicated and convoluted steps to get from point A to point B. Horrible customer service. No follow up on customer service calls.
Reasons for Switching to QuickBooks Online
We started with QuickBooks on line and then did our payroll with Patriot because QB took months to get back to us to solve the processing issue we were having. We revisit their invoicing services continuously and if QB continues their horrible customer service I’ll be willing to for go having all of QB amenities.- Industry: Accounting

QuickBooks on Impact!
My overall experience with QuickBooks Online was positive. It’s an intuitive and efficient platform that streamlined many bookkeeping tasks, from invoicing to bank reconciliations. Its cloud-based design allowed me to manage finances remotely, which was invaluable for keeping up with real-time data and collaborating effectively with the team at Impact. The automated features, like recurring transactions and direct bank feeds, saved time and reduced the risk of errors. While there were occasional limitations, like slower speeds during peak times and some restricted advanced features, QuickBooks Online was an effective tool that met most of our business needs and improved our overall financial management.
Pros
As a Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant, what I liked most about QuickBooks Online was its user-friendly interface and cloud accessibility. It allowed me to manage financial data in real-time from anywhere, which was especially helpful when coordinating with clients remotely. QuickBooks Online also made reconciling accounts and generating reports straightforward and efficient, which streamlined the bookkeeping process and improved accuracy.
Cons
What I liked least about QuickBooks Online was its occasional lag, especially during peak usage times. This could slow down workflows, particularly when working on larger files or when multiple users were accessing the account simultaneously. Additionally, some advanced features are limited or only available in higher-tier plans, which sometimes meant workarounds were necessary for more complex accounting tasks.

Not as intuitive or user friendly as I'd hoped
If I had a chance to consider other accounting options for my business, I would absolutely look into them. I've found Quickbooks to be marketed as an easy to use tool for small business, but the reality there's way more technical knowledge that isn't particularly clear how to use, and I would imagine most people will run into things they aren't sure how to solve, and thus Quickbooks is trying to make more money on the back end by charging for help to use their tool.
Pros
I like that in theory, it's set up for relatively easy access as a small business with an affordable price for the basic package, I like the interface, but it is quite a bit more complex than I'd first thought.
Cons
Quickbooks has so many things built-in that aren't clear how to use for a small business owner without lots of experience with the platform or accounting. There are features that are excluded in the basic package which seem like unreasonable limitations. Making revisions within Quickbooks to invoices/payments in the past without having it impact your account reconciliation is not clear and can be quite frustrating. The fact that Quickbooks charges for assistance for things like that is silly - the product isn't intuitive or clear enough to not provide free customer support. The reality is that it's not user friendly enough to stumble through without help, so I've had to work with my CPA/business consultant to solve certain issues which is equally frustrating.

Best Software for Businesses, however not for personal finances
I had purchased multiple accounts after speaking with a representative. I did one for our business, and they had told me that I could manage our personal finances on the other one. I found that using this software to try and manage personal finances was not as great as other software out there. However for business, this is hands down the best software that I had used. I recommend this for businesses, however do not recommend them for personal finances to help build budgets and have more control.
Pros
Quickbooks has great automation features and the ability to connect a wide range of accounts for your business.
Cons
As a newer customer not as familiar with QuickBooks, I found that navigating at times was sometimes difficult until you learn the buttons or locations.

Quickbooks Online for Small Business Accounting
QBO online is my preferred software for accounting for small businesses. I prefer QBO to any other software I have used.
Pros
QBO is easy to use and understand for clients even if they are not accountants. They can see their bookkeeping at any time with QBO.
Cons
Sometimes there is a learning curve for clients. I wish there was a way to create a simpler dashboard for them.
Reasons for Switching to QuickBooks Online
QBO is far easier to work with in my opinion. Excel does not have automatic integrations and I find Xero to be less intuitive.- Industry: Information Technology & Services

QBO, Why? Because I had to.
QuickBooks online is easy to use. The auto shorting of my transactions to their vendors makes bookkeeping painless. There are a few times that I wish the system would not have done something for me but was easy to correct.
Pros
Easy to access my books any where. If I am traveling, I can pull up information on my phone or my laptop. No need to have that .QBO file. I just need internet.
Cons
Although I love the flexibility I have with QBO. I did not like that I really had no other option. I could not update my desktop version without paying for Enterprise(which I do not need). The only thing I could do was move to the cloud. I would have liked to choose for myself.

Cookie cutter as it gets.
You can tell that QuickBooks is starting to integrate directly with other services which has its pros and cons. The fact that it’s prettty specific on certain integrations makes it seem more like a limiting monopoly than a truly large business asset you can’t live without. It’s pretty telling when any good accountant dreads having to work within QuickBooks to do any accounting. It’s more of a hub for people that need basic, limiting accounting, that are willing to integrate other apps that have partnered or are owned by QuickBooks. The cost you pay you would think their would be more of a CRM integration with QuickBooks or a sister product for overall business management and quoting/invoicing. However, we’re planning to totally move away because the cost has gotten insane.
Pros
The ease of access, desktop to mobile. The loan options they have were pretty cool, and were better deals than other banks.
Cons
Where do I start? Everything is extremely limiting and cookie cutter. It’s very expensive for not having any sort of customization of invoices or estimates. The fact you can hardly get ahold of a live person that isn’t just a call center tech is aggravating. QuickBooks needs to understand that a business presentation to a client can make or break jobs, yet it gives very limiting options to how you can present.

Great Accounting Software for Entrepreneurs
Very easy to use and setup even for a novice, non-finance person.
Pros
Love the easy to use interface and integrations with all of the financial institutions I use. Also makes payroll and paying business taxes a breeze by not just tracking these amount but also paying directly from QBO.
Cons
Cash flow projects are terrible. A key feature that is missing, that would be great to have, would be to track upcoming monthly bills and expenses to see the impact future bills will have on cash position. I currently have to track this separately outside of QBO.
