The magic editor cleans up my audio beautifully, and adding graphics, inserting video, and using transitions are easy\! Editing the transcript directly is an incredible tool. I can easily identify sections to remove, and it's not hard to refine grammar or spelling so that my subtitle file is correct. Speaking of subtitles - being able to download the file with time stamps, access chapter marks, and have a complete transcript changes the game for podcasting overall. It's so easy to create show notes and summaries\! The Riverside AI also creates good descriptions and titles when I need them. The new motion feature has been helpful, too\! I also appreciate being able to post directly to our YouTube channel, instead of downloading and uploading 40+ minute episodes. It's great\! > > **Cons**: I tried hosting my podcast on Riverside and had an issue importing all of my past episodes. I believe it was partially my fault, but the support team was not helpful. However, my rep, Sandy, was kind and assured me they would work harder in the future\! We are currently still hosting on Buzzsprout. And when I used the VideoDub to edit a word in a Magic Clip it also changed the word not just in that clip but in the longer episode and I didn't like the way it sounds. I like that the original recording always stays intact and then edits are accessible separately making it easy to do multiple versions of the same original. The track cleanup to have both speakers match is also great. I have recommended RS to several people already. > > **Cons**: When editing, the option box for editing pops up and it's too big, especially when offering the AI video editing (which I don't use) making it hard to see what you are actually wanting to edit. Half the time I'd have to go back and download separately then try to combine after the guest was gone. I never have to do that with Riverside. I kept Descript for editing because I liked the white background but got used to Riverside and now I only use Riverside for recording and editing.
