There is no substitution or replacement for this software, and it is dependable for all parts of the process. It is highly customisable so it can be used by any type of user from any department. > > **Cons**: Centric can be very difficult to learn how to use, and without any manual, finding out information is tricky. There isn't many indications on the screen that a standard user can notice and understand, which can lead to confusion and less productivity. Trying to find specific areas is difficult because of this, and so there is untapped potential for what Centric can do for its users. > > I train users on Centric, and while it is a reliable PLM that can provide any and all information about our work, it is a frustrating process to train and set up a user on. The user interface is quite complicated to understand, but it is easy to learn how to use. It also takes an extremely long time to PFD a tech pack. > > We were working to find a way to use Centric as a tracking document, something that could auto fill the dates of when tasks within the development life cycle of the style were completed. It needed to update in real time and pull dates as they were happening. The closest we could get to that was to run various reports.
