It offers a lot of flexibility and a lot of value for the cost. While some companies solutions like QuickBooks or ADP try to force additional and often unneeded services, Patriot Software allows the user to do as much for themselves as they prefer. The website is very intuitively laid out and easy to use. Customer support is readily available on responds quickly with useful solutions. The company I work for does not have any use for additional expensive HR functions or a software that forces you to also pay for their accounting solution. Logging into the website, managing employees and running payroll is simple. > > **Cons**: My biggest issue with the service is that direct deposits if processed on a Monday are not deposited into employee accounts until Friday. Five days is the longest I've seen. I just had to issue paper checks last payroll because of Memorial Day. The software does allow to easily switch to paper checks if its desirable though. Also I have been informed that established accounts can get that processing time shortened. They also do offer the option to prefund the direct deposits in which case the funds can be deposited next day. > > Overall I am very happy with Patriot Software for payroll.
