Verizon Connect - Worth It!
Verizon Connect is great because it really offers sensible solutions as well as ones that matter most such as real time tracking and safety enhancements.
Pros
The fleet monitoring was excellent and combined with its other features such as environmental protocols, and asset tracking.
Cons
I felt that the Workplan software had issues but they usually were resolved fairly quickly. It could be a hinderance for some.

Verizon Connect ELD, GPS Tracking, Dispatch System.
Verizon Connect is a ok ELD, GPS Tracking, and Dispatch system. The price after your promotional rate is great. But once you are out of your promotional rate the product is over priced for what is offered compared to other platforms. The key is customer service and the tech support is not good, they are not fast to fix or correct issues within there system or products.
Pros
The platform is easy to use, user friendly, easy to set up.
Cons
The customer support, tech support is not the best and they are not in a hurry to fix issues once there is a tech issue or issue within the system. There system has a lag in the GPS tracking system.

Do Your Homework Before Signing
The product itself wasn't too bad, but dealing with the support team was a nightmare most times. Our "dedicated" account manager, wasn't so dedicated to our account. I had to go back and forth with issues with them over the course of 5 months.
Pros
The layout of the Portal is the most user friendly portal I've ever used. Everything is so accessible and organized.
Cons
Customer Service. When something goes wrong, they take an eternity to respond, and sometimes, they will close your trouble ticket before they remedy the situation.
Reasons for Choosing Verizon Connect

Fleetmatics is worth it!
I have worked with them for over 8 years. Pricey but worth the money as it is detailed in its tracking and all other aspects of trucking GPS.
Pros
Very detailed in regards to speed, hard brake events, etc.
Cons
They do tend to be expensive compared to others and not as flexible with negotiating price but you get what you pay for and this is a superior product.

Save your money!
Horrible, absolutely horrible!!!
Pros
I would have liked the free month, if they would have sent us the correct equipment, but it took nearly the whole month for them the figure out that they had sent us the wrong boxes.
Cons
The Customer Support is a joke. Out of the 100s of phone calls that my brother & myself made to them, I found 1 that actually took the time to look over the account & he was the one that figured out that we were sent the wrong equipment. Then once we got the right stuff installed, they worked for about a week & then started dropping the signals & not keeping track of out trucks. When we called to complain about it, we were told that they just wanted to fix 1 piece at a time, instead of fixing all 4 boxes that were having issues.
Reasons for Switching to Verizon Connect
At the time we were able to track our oldest truck(1988 Pete), it was cheaper, & they were offering a "free month."- Industry: Facilities Services

Decent Product - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
The website interface is good, but the sales and customer service is so terrible we couldn't even BUY new devices when we added new trucks. I literally had to cancel our service because we couldn't even spend more money with them,
Pros
The app and website is user friendly. Initially when we signed on with them it was owned by Fleetmatics USA. That team was great. Verizon bought it and destroyed it.
Cons
Customer service made it virtually IMPOSSIBLE to buy new devices, and continue using the product. 100% of customer service is outsourced, WHICH IS FINE IF THEY DID THEIR JOB.
Verizon connect failed to honor the terms of the contract and forced us to pay an early termination fee even though the defaulted on their contract.
DO NOT SIGN WITH VERIZON CONNECT!!!!!! FIND SOMEONE ELSE!

Oct 23...dont buy this product.
Up until recently it was just about ok. Real time tracking was about 90% good. By the time you reported a problem it had resolved itself. Not much use if real time tracking is important. Recently the service is non existent. I have 2 new trackers in my office for 2 weeks waiting to be installed. Nobody has been in touch. Monthly fee is still being deducted. Buyer beware. Dont sign a D.D with this company. There has to be a better available. They continue charging even when the service is rubbish. No refunds.
Pros
Nothing, at best it works well about 90% of the time. The rest of the time tracker crashes. You report it and a few hours later it is working again. Not much use if real time accuracy is important.
Cons
Service now non existent, Oct 23. Fed up waiting for service to sort my trackers. No one in contact to explain what is going. I lie. Someone was on to me (Sinead?) wondering if I wanted to but some more of their trackers. What a joke. I told her my problems..."nothing to do with me, get in touch with customer support". Well I tried that. Still waiting for 2 new trackers to be installed.

Cost me 15k over 3 years just to cancel
Worst company I have ever had to deal with. Would not have signed up if the previous company had not been purchased by Verizon.
Pros
Terrible scam company that purchased the previous GPS company
Cons
Tried to cancel the service for 3 years, would just send out an early cancelation fee we had to pay before they canceled. Would not let us set the account to non renewal, would not tell us when our renewal dates were. Cancelation requests would not be responded to until after the renewal dates which we found out after the fact

Stay away from Verizon connect
It was one of the apps I would never recommend to anyone. There are better options. Use those options.
Pros
None for the price that the change there are many many cheaper better options the this use at your own risk
Cons
They had a hidden contract that they would put you in without your consent and will not allow you to walk away until they was paid for you leaving the app

Poor Customer Service
We've had lots of problems reconciling our account. We were charged for services not provided and not given any decent options on fixing the issue. The company is top heavy with siloed departments that fail to communicate effectively.
Pros
Vehicle tracking and alerts are great, camera systems are decent.
Cons
3-year contracts every time you add a new piece of equipment and poor customer service.

Completely let down by this company
None
Pros
Ability to see where vehicles were. Ability for AUX alerts
Cons
Nearly everything, but mostly management.Billed for callouts in the beginning by technicians even when they were seen on CCTV not knocking on our entry.Billed for cameras before they arrived in Australia for 5 months. Only offered credit. When credits where up they cancelled my account for non payment. Advised someone hadn't noted I was thousands in credit, but when that was exhausted. Let Direct Debit off. Never received invoices.Vehicles had accidents, no vision triggered even though tracker came up as harsh event. Asked to cancel as its a waste of money. Was given a 20000.00 pay out invoice.Had more incidents not recorded. Threated legal action. Advised they would cancel. 3 months later and subscription canceled still getting direct debited now have $5000 cancelation bill.

They will lock you into a 3+ year contract - Horrible Customer Service.
Stay away, Samsara looks like the way to go. Verizon has a lack of integrations.
Pros
GPS Dasboard Page, something we used daily
Cons
Customer support is horrible! Always got wrong trackers installed, billing was incorrect as we never recieved ordered trackers. Each additional tracker/vehicle locks you into another 3 year contract so I had like 5 contract end dates that I wasn't able to get out of, so now i'm stuck for the next 3 years and will not be able to add anothers to this sytem if I want to move to a competitor. Waited 2 weeks to get a clear answer on what my cost per month was; still waiting over a month to get a negotiated buy out for the rest of the contract. Stay away!
