I have had it a few times where Othership has said somewhere has availability but after booking I have had an email from Othership saying there are actually no desk spaces left and I need to choose somewhere else.

Othership is incredibly easy to use. Creating our floorplan was straightforward. Staff were easily able to learn how to use the software. The ability to customize the settings to what we need is perfect for our workplace.

Cons

In truth, I cannot think about a single negative feature or difficulty working with the company. They take feedback and make feature adjustments quickly if asked for.

Othership is easy to use and book, and generally affordable for the base package - with great locations.

Cons

The desks in the photos do not match with the desks you actually get. For example, in the office we use the desks in the picture are quoted at £400 per day and our £10 pass only gets us into the shared space. A lot more for just a chair with back support.

The ability to checkin/ login to co-working spaces and see if other colleagues will be working in the same area, gives a sense of community and belonging to "the other way of working ".Not to mention the incredible Slack Channel which adds to the sense of community and people can ask for help or provide help and the like, a great asset supporting other start-ups and Founders.

A scheduler which I believe would be helpful to plan in advance your working week. This would help plan your call working week and find people or groups that you could co-working in advance.

I come into London on an irregular basis for meeting at different parts of the city and need somewhere to work. This is a great tool for finding places to work for the day or part day. A preview I've seen of their new tool looks even better in terms of finding where other people may be working. There's also a great Slack community and they have a regular networking even. The team are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The events allow you to get advise and help from other professionals which would otherwise be hard to find. The online system is very easy to use and your account is set up very quickly.

I really can't think of any complaints as my only issue wasI certain local venues not cancelling when they were closed the first autumn of covid. However those were new venues at that time and that issue no longer occurs.

It isn't the product per se, but the locality of everyone using it. Its a plus to spread our net wider, but a slight con that its not so localised.

Quick and easy to make a booking. The website is user friendly, allowing me to quickly and easily search within a location for available offices / desks.
The support available is great. When I have encountered an issue, the ability to use webchat to speak to a colleague has been brilliant. The team are quick and efficient in resolving any and all issues I have had.
Email notifications work well. Keeping me informed of upcoming bookings and available budget left to spend without me needing to sign in to Othership each time.

Cons

I prefer to work in coworking spaces over cafe's and hotels and there are still large areas of the UK that are missing these types of spaces. I tend to stick around the £20 p/day mark however in some areas the cost of a coworking space is double this with no additional benefits. Trial and error and communicating with colleagues has enabled me to find the best value for money coworking spaces.
Better awareness of events / drinks / social 'things' that are occurring at different locations would be good. Giving a reason for getting out and visiting coworking spaces.

I started using Othership when it was still called ‘WeCoffee’ before the pandemic. As a freelancer, my work took me all over London and I had had enough of trying to work in noisy cafes.

Since then, it has grown into a dynamic and friendly community making it easy to network on a professional and social basis. It gets lonely being a solopreneur, and Othership solved that problem for me.

I can work in peace in a silent booth if I’m in town, or choose to co-work with others. Great freedom and flexibility.

It’s still a little London Centric, but I’m impressive at how quickly and easily it has expanded to other cities and even towns in the UK (and Mexico…)

I love the sense of community around the tool itself. As well as the tool. Its very very lonely being a small team company and working from home. With othership it feels like my time is super charged with the community without be just about work but apporaching as a human.

The workspace software is very user-friendly and allows me to find local coworking venues while travelling between meetings in town. I used to use Google, meetup, LinkedIn and Facebook to find venues but this has been a game-changer! The cowork & brunch is now a fixed date in my calendar every month and is a great way to meet other coworkers locally, the othership team have built a network of supportive and inspiring freelancers. After running my own coworking events before covid I know how challenging this can be!

The website is feature packed but I will need to spend some time to work out which parts are relevant for me... looking forward to the new workplace scheduler so I can see who will be at coworking spaces before I arrive.
