Good for beginners
I use filmora for basic quick edits and I find it easy to use.
Pros
Easy to use especially if you're a beginner video editor or a social media content creator, good AI features, covers most of primary editing needs. Has a good stock media library, doesn't consume a lot of RAM.
Cons
Limited when it comes to image editing, and I always face an issue when I remove a clip from the timeline the rest of the clips gets misplaced, hard to move objects on the preview window.
Response from Wondershare
Thanks for your love of Filmora. Regarding the image editing problem you are encountering, you may turn off the "auto-ripple" feature (at the left upper corner of the timeline, which looks like a chain) to have a try.
If the issue persists, would you please record a video to show how it happens step and step and send it to [email protected]? Our technical support will help you out in a targeted manner.

Filmora: Ideal video editing tool for all type of contents, easy to use and very efficient
My general involvement in Filmora has been completely extraordinary, set apart by its natural connection point, vigorous highlights, and consistent altering capacities. As an imaginative expert, I've viewed Filmora as a confided in sidekick in rejuvenating my dreams on screen.
One of the champion elements of Filmora is its easy to use interface, which finds some kind of harmony among effortlessness and power. Exploring through the different devices and impacts is a breeze, permitting me to zero in erring on the imaginative parts of my tasks as opposed to getting impeded by details.
The scope of altering apparatuses and impacts presented by Filmora is genuinely noteworthy. From essential alters like managing and consolidating clasps to cutting edge highlights, for example, green screen impacts and sound upgrades, Filmora takes special care of both beginner clients and prepared editors the same. The capacity to tweak and adjust each part of my recordings guarantees that I can accomplish the exact look and feel I imagine for each undertaking.
What separates Filmora is its huge library of sovereignty free music, audio cues, and staggering enhanced visualizations. These resources add profundity and incredible skill to my recordings, raising them to an unheard of level. Whether I'm making a special video, a video blog, or a true to life work of art, Filmora gives the devices and assets I really want to make my substance stick out.
In addition, Filmora's consistent combination with virtual entertainment stages makes imparting my manifestations to the world easy. The capacity to send out recordings in different organizations and goals guarantees similarity across various stages, permitting me to contact a more extensive crowd easily.
Pros
The altering programming is genuinely instinctive and simple. The vast majority could bounce in without taking an instructional exercise yet emerge with an extraordinary video. The impacts and channels are great and incorporate a huge assortment of decisions. Transferring content and songs is additionally simple.
Cons
It can run slowly. I have also experienced an error a couple of times where once I publish the video, some of the content is not synced properly and I have to start all over with the publishing process. This is quite frustrating since it can take a while to process. It also seems to make the rest of my computer run slowly so it's difficult to multitask.

Don't Buy: They keep stealing your money
Pros
It only steals my money once a year or so.
Cons
This is how they continuously steal money from me:
1) "An updated version of Filmora is available, would you like to install it?"
2) I click yes. It installs.
3) I spend many hours making a project. Then when I go to export it...
4) "You are using the free version of this updated software. Would you like to export with watermark, or purchase the watermark-free version?"
5) I click neither, and opt to go back to the previous version of Filmora that I had already purchased.
6) The project that I spent many hours working will not open in the previous version.
Thus, I have to choose between paying for the new version, exporting with a watermark, or starting the project all over again. I fell for this once, forgot about it, then fell for it again today. I am sadly paying for yet another update of Filmora that I don't necessarily want, but am forced to pay for lest I lose many hours of work. They won't fool me again. Even though I purchased their latest update today, I'm immediately deleting the program and never using it again.
Response from Wondershare
We are sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience with the Filmora upgrade. I'd like to address your concerns one by one, hopefully, it will help you.
There are some effects, resources, and features that are updated on version 13, this is the reason that the project created in 13 couldn't be opened in an older version. You may contact the Filmora team to request a temporary license to export your current project and then edit new projects on the version 12 you purchased.
The current Filmora 13 is an amazing new version with AI-related features bringing the tool to a new level. That is why we specified in our license policy that users who have a perpetual license might be charged for a major upgrade. However, users who own a lifetime plan since Filmora9 or an older version can upgrade to the latest version for free. Please drop an email at [email protected] if you need assistance further. Thank you!

The Best Software to Kickstart Your Video Editing Journey
My experience with Filmora has been nothing short of amazing. I always turn to it for its ease and speed in getting things done. Plus, the range of effects is just outstanding. Both my current and future projects will undoubtedly go through Filmora.
Pros
I've been rocking Filmora for over two years now, both for work and my personal stuff, and I'm totally hooked! What I absolutely love is how newbie-friendly it is – perfect for those just dipping their toes into editing. But don't let its simplicity fool you, because it also packs a punch with tons of cool effects. And the library? It's just mind-blowing.
Cons
If there's one thing I'd say about Filmora, it's that it's a fantastic program. However, given how user-friendly it is, it sometimes doesn't feel like a pro video editing tool.

A fair tool with some caveats
Not quite there yet, especially if intended to be used as a post production, correction tool, it does the job for simpler projects, though.
Pros
It's a decent tool, for smaller editions to putting collages together with a few transitions, it works like a charm
Cons
It lacks some basic transitions, effects and plugins that you easily find in other similar platforms, exporting can be cumbersome and fiddly at times

Filmora best and fastest video editing software to use
I think filmora is one of the best and easiest video editing softwares I've ever used because it has more advantages than disadvantages, for every problem I've ever came across I was able to find solution to it online
Pros
Filmora provides valuable and easy tutorials Inside the software and on YouTube it doesn't take ages to learn as it has a user friendly interface
Cons
Filmora X crashes on some old graphics card like Nvidia GeForce GTX 710 sometimes it works well but it's not fully reliable how ever filmora has best bug fixes so crashing won't be much of a big issue for so long.
Response from Wondershare
Thanks for your love of Filmora, and we are glad to hear that the tutorials we provided help you a lot. Back to the crash issue you might encounter with some old graphics, we'd like to say the performance not only depends on the size and length of the source video you are editing but also on the project settings. Meanwhile, it will be affected by the performance of your computer as well. Based on this, here are some suggestions you may try to check if they help first:
1. Go to "Wondershare Filmora-->Preferences-->Performance" to enable the GPU options first and then restart Filmora.
2. Please delete other unnecessary files and close unnecessary apps during editing to improve more space for our Filmora.
3. Update Filmora to the latest version.
If the issue persists, you may drop an email at [email protected]. Our technical team will collect more details to provide professional instructions for you accurately.

Wasted My Time
When I clicked on a site to download DaVinchi Resolve, it downloaded Filmora instead on their free version. I decided to try it out, because it was now downloaded anyway only to discover that at the end, it will add a watermark unless you buy. I have wasted so much time, and my fury at the company means I will never buy from them ever. I was considering it before I finished, but the fact that the free version is like this means that there are probably other hidden things in it that I haven't researched since I was tricked into using it in the first place. Don't use this product.
Pros
It was easy to learn, but it wasn't worth learning, so nothing.
Cons
It shouldn't have a fake free version. At the end, of editing your video once you've put in all the hard work, it will give you two options. Buy it or have a watermarked video that is unusable. And I do mean unusable. It was a full banner watermark. I wouldn't mind if it had told me at the beginning about it or if it were a small one in the corner, but this is ridiculous. It's trying to intentionally waste your time if you don't pay.
Response from Wondershare
Hi Tracey, thank you for sharing your experience. In line with your doubt about the trial version, kindly let us explain it in more detail and hopefully, it will help you.
Actually, Filmora team offers a benefit for the specific non-purchased users who meet the below conditions to export a video without limitation:
--New users who have not purchased, not registered, or not exported videos
--New users who have registered but not purchased, not exported videos on the first launch software day
Notice:
1. Those users may see this offer named "Get A watermark-free export" in the Filmora program.
2. Users can export only one video without a watermark for free and it needs to be done within 3 days after this benefit is redeemed. Each WSID can only get it once.
Back to the situation you mentioned (download DaVinchi Resolve from a site, while it downloaded Filmora instead), we are willing to investigate it further and make things clarified, however, the current information is too limited. Would you please drop an email with more details at [email protected]?
We want to help as much as we're able to. Look forward to getting in touch with you!

My Movie Maker
With this tool the work is done in just a few clicks, it saves a lot of time, very practical and I create shorts more easily with filmora.
Pros
is a powerful tool that's quick and easy to use, and its color correction gives a realistic rendering.
Cons
its video effects library needs to be improved, for example by adding more amazing effects, and also review its transitions library by improving transition times,if not filmora remains the best tool for one-click video editing
Response from Wondershare
Thanks for taking the time to write a comprehensive review about Filmora. If it is possible, would you please talk about more details regarding "adding more amazing effects and improving transition times"? You may throw out several examples shown on YouTube so that we can improve it in a more targeted manner.

A Video Software with Multiple features for both Professionals and Beginners
Fimora will be your best choice you are looking for reels and short videos! Fimora's dashboard, though on free trial, offers extraordinary features, special effects and many functionalities to help mix audio, shift from one scenes to another. Yet, as a Filmora user, one should pay attention to the length of the video; it should be short so as not to experience lagging when exporting your projects.
Pros
Fimora remains one of the chief rivals in video making industrydue to the variety of features and functionalaties it makes at the disposal of both beginners and professionals. Though on a free trial, it provides a rich timeline with many buttons to grade colours, add special effects, mix audio and so many other features. It is best for those working on reels and short videos because of the hardware requirements.
Cons
It is not good for long videos due to the difficulty of exporting projects. Fimora is full of in-built features and thus it requires sturdy hardware features. One more, it is a pricey product that is useful for movie makers not free trial users, who will struggle with Filmora watermark. I recently switch to "Peech" and "Wisecut".

Filmora is crap overall. If you are doing graphic design, its not bad, but videography wise, filmora is garbage.
Pros
I love the graphics except when blown to the size of a tv, the effects are pixelated. Always something new
Cons
Constantly crashing. I loose more work as well as time. I spend 4 hours a day just starting my project. If i am doing graphics, great but video editing is garbage.

Most Convenient tools for beginners to professionals when it comes to Video Editing
overall, I like filmora. I've been using it for almost a year now. It improves my viewers in youtube and tiktok
Pros
I like Filmora because it's very convenient, I like their pre-templated designs, split screens, and titles, Color grading is not that too complex compared to others.
Cons
they said before that their plans are lifetime, but suddenly they took it and change it to a perpetual plan, we can't update to a later version unless we pay an additional fee, and I don't like that. It's expensive
Response from Wondershare
Hi John. Thanks for your love of this software. I understand your confusion about our license policy, and we'd like to explain it in more detail and then assist you further.
The current Filmora 12 is an amazing new version with AI-related features bringing the tool to a new level.
