As a graphic design student...
I am very happy, I hope that every year they get better and better, and that this program reaches its full potential. Thank you Adobe.
Pros
I'll just be honest, I'm in love with Indesign, thanks to this program I found my passion for editorial design. I don't understand how many people don't like to use it, or simply aesthetically speaking, it doesn't appeal to them. For me it is the opposite, I am very happy with the way it is organized, visually it has a clean and spacious look that does not interrupt you with what you are designing, I like the default work tables, the tools you have to streamline the work of the layout designer, etc. 10/10
Cons
I don't like that automatically the quality of the images is lower than the original, because it is difficult to know if the image is like that because of performance or because the image is really in very low quality, but I understand that it is a way to speed up the performance of the file.

Best tool for print design, but needs better UI
Pros
I work in InDesign daily creating pieces to be sent to print. It is a massively powerful tool, I feel like I learn new features and shortcuts every day. It is almost more powerful than the average user can appreciate or utilize.
Cons
This program is not intuitive. And InDesign files cannot be edited by anyone who does not have their own subscription and a full working knowledge of the platform. I believe many users will shift to Canva for the UI and collaboration benefits alone. InDesign, however, still remains the absolute best tool for sending long-form print products to production. Canva cannot produce full books.

InDesign is an industry standard
I am still a user of InDesign and it has served me well for the last decade or two! Because of the cost factor, and competitors value, I will be forced to use Affinity from next month onwards :(
Pros
InDesign is a great desktop publishing tool that I would say is quite easy to learn and serves as an amazing tool for creating documents. The memory function is definitely handy, seems to recover quite accurately after crashes.
Cons
I think it's quite expensive. Our company has recently made the move to Affinity due to the cost factor. Would also be good to integrate with OpenAsset a bit better.

Great job for ideas
It was an enjoyable and easy experience in completing daily work tasks, as my work depends most of the time on making presentations, submitting proposals, and presenting them clearly and well.
Pros
The thing I liked most about the program is a program dedicated to advertising, brochure, and presentation works that provides high quality and accuracy in graphics and innovative and modern presentation methods that keep pace with global progress at all levels of the world.
Cons
It requires high-powered computers to run the program, and it also needs some money to buy the software for the program, but it is probably the best.

Might Not Be Easy, But It's Just What We Need!
Pros
I love Adobe InDesign because there is SO much we're able to do in terms of design. There are hundreds of thousands of possibilities when it comes to designing in InDesign, and it is so worth every penny!
Cons
Adobe InDesign is complex, and the complexity can make it difficult to do things the way you'd like to. If there was an option to find a simpler way to do things it would make our work quicker and easier.

Great for editorial design!
Pros
I love that you can control the design of your files, from typography, color, and style to spacing and alignment. The interface is user-friendly and I love how integrates easily with the rest of Adobe suite like Illustrator and Photoshop.
Cons
I'd love to see more step-by-step tutorials on some tools that are not easy to get or learn from the get-go. Some of the features seem overwhelming at first and challenging to learn quickly.

The pinnacle of publishing and layout work!
Overall we like the software very much. It has helped us present our designs to customers and municipality. It works the way it should, without breaking the workflow.
Pros
It is easy to get into. And complex enough to do great stuff when you are more comfortable with the software. It is reliable and solid. We have had little issues with it.
Cons
It is pricey. There are competitors that do what InDesign does, so the price has to be justified.

Expensive but powerful software for designing portfolios
Pros
Powerful software that takes a lot of the busywork out of publication by doing it automatically for you. Keeps swatches nicely organised so you can keep a coherent design throughout.
Cons
There are quirks to it that work completely differently to other adobe products. They should be more transferrable than they currently are. For instance, resizing images should work the same across the adobe suite but it works completely differently in indesign.

Fantastic design product
Love it! Be determined to learn it and things getting faster and easier to use, the quality of outputs within our workplace has significantly improved since using InDesign. The way the Adobe apps interact with each other is powerful also, so if you do use Illustrator and Photoshop you will love the compatibility when used together.
Pros
Even though it took a while to learn it's features, the effort paid off as now I wouldn't be without it. The features and quality of the outputs far exceed many online tools.
Cons
Switching from Word to InDesign to create covers, reports and programmes etc, was time consuming due to the functionality being completely different - it required dedication to learn the software properly.

Efficient and Professional Layout Design with Adobe InDesign
Overall, my experience with Adobe InDesign has been very positive. This software offers advanced features and practical design tools that have allowed me to create professional and creative publications. While there is an initial learning curve, I highly recommend Adobe InDesign for anyone looking to improve their design and layout capabilities.
Pros
What I like most about Adobe InDesign is its ability to effectively and professionally manage large-scale projects. Layout tools such as grids, columns, and guides are very handy for aligning elements and creating precise and balanced layouts. The character and paragraph styles feature is also very useful for quickly applying consistent formatting throughout the document.
Cons
However, what I like least about Adobe InDesign is its handling of images and objects. While the cropping and resizing tools are convenient, I find that manipulating images and objects can be difficult at times, especially when it comes to aligning elements to baseline grids or matching them to other objects. Additionally, managing layers can be complex for more complex projects.

Perfect for pagination and for documents with dynamic fields
We do a lot of work with InDesign and for what we do it's really the best available on the market.
Pros
After learning how to use it, it allows you to easily create workflows with photoshop or illustrator. It's great for paging magazines or catalogues.
Cons
The biggest con is the learning curve. The software is complex and it is necessary to learn how to work with it.

Good impagination software
Good for create catalogues, leaflets and other documents.
Pros
Good functionality, easy to use the main functions, quick export results. Easy user interface (the same in years and years).
Cons
There are some bugs and no multicore support... We are in 2023 and this software often is very slow to open and modify pages and images... sometimes crashes. Adobe realese to many versione 2021,2022,2023 and this create confusion to manage files and so on

I can't imagine my life without it
I have been using it for several years now and several improvements have been made over time, but the initial basis remains the same. From brochures, to catalogs, to the preparation of visual elements for the web, InDesign will always accompany you with mastery. One of the things I like the most are the frames, very quick to use and that no one (I don't understand why) doesn't try to imitate: I literally do everything with them and the drag and drop feature.
Pros
Software for the management of catalogs and brochures and so on, but also web based products. The different features that characterize it have made it a pillar of the publishing sector over the years. The various shortcuts that are part of the Adobe suite make it agile in every situation. I couldn't work without a tool like this.
Cons
In large files it stops and slows down, even with very powerful computers. A pity for a software that is supposed to handle quite large workflows like big catalogs.
