Fantastic & cutting-edge tool for med labs
Pros
The software is really easy, fast, and clean.
We were used to large systems like Epic, which are often difficult to use and are starting to show their age. We found their system to be much more intuitive than what we typically see.
If there was ever a problem, it was also very easy to get in contact with the Dendi team and get a resolution; they had very strong follow-up.
Cons
This is a fairly new ("cutting edge") product, so some people were resistant to change. Also, not every feature is as fleshed-out since it's so new.

Excellent Portal
Excellent. I help accounts with using Dendi and for my part Dendi has been awesome. Very easy to use. The constant upgrades is amazing. They take feedback, and see if it will align with their system and if they can do it they do.
Pros
There isn't just one thing, there are many great things. Great Staff and they are always upgrading the system. There are many automations within the system that make it so much easier to gather data.
Cons
It's not really a con but the length of time it takes to get a new feature added - I understand because there is a lot of coding that goes into the change. When you have an automation like this system does you really have to take your time when changes/upgrades are made. I know the dislike of supporting Account Reps but when it comes to our accounts, we dabble in everything so it would be nice to be able to sort accounts by Account Reps and Types of accounts - I know that is more Marketing but certain accounts do certain types of tests so if we have a warning or notice to that group of accounts that we need to get out it would be a nice feature to just send to those accounts rather than to accounts that it doesn't affect. I think also a note section that when a provider is submitting an order and they want to leave us a note with that order, that would be awesome.

Integration from Polytech
Still experimenting in the "playground" before go-live.
Pros
Easier to use than current platform, Polytech.
Cons
Ease of system, quality control use, limit of certain options compared to Epic (obviously larger company).
Response from Dendi
Thanks for your feedback, Jennifer, as it's helpful for our improvement!
We're glad that the migration from Polytech went well and that you feel Dendi is easier to use. Making the LIS switch smooth and user experience are our top objectives.
We're striving to reach Epic-level functionality (it's why we update more frequently than any other LIS vendor). If you have any feature requests that would be valuable to your lab, we'd love to hear from you! You can reach out to your account manager and let them know.

Dendi LIS User friendly at its best
Excellent in one word. I truly enjoy working on this system because it is so easy to navigate.
Pros
Its easy to navigate, super easy to in-service and teach how to use and customer support are always helpful.
Cons
Minimal cons honestly. I would like to be able to make a field mandatory if I needed too that's honestly about it.

A well maintained LIS
Dendi is an excellent LIS. It far outperforms other LIS's I have used in the past.
Pros
I like the ease of test ordering and the fact that our feedback is acknowledged and updates are performed regularly, outside of business hours.
Cons
The only thing I don't like about Dendi is that the forms are not exclusively keyboard navigatable. I prefer to Tab through menus and Dendi requires me to move my hand to my mouse frequently.

Dendi is a awesome program and easy to use !!!!
Dendi has a perfect lay out that is easy to use and everythng is already entered in all you have to do is make you choices once you have a patient already established . It is easy to look up orders and the reports are on the home page as they are reported . Love that !!!
Pros
I have worked for a couple different labs and used other software .Dendi is layed out much easier and more detailed . I love it !!!
Cons
I don't know of any reason to improve it
Response from Dendi

Dendi portal
It's been exceptionally good. I am glad that the technology used is easy to navigate.
Pros
Upon being a new hire, I was worried that the portal might be difficult to learn. I had been employed at my previous job for almost 5 years and had grown fond of that labs portal. I was able to quicky learn and navigate through Dendi. All the information is easy to access.
Cons
Not being able to Batch print reports. You can do date to date but it will still have the previous results in the same batch.
Response from Dendi
Thanks for your feedback!
For batch printing reports, there is a way to generate batch reports through the Analytics > Batch Reports section. This feature allows users to add up to 1,500 reports within a selected time frame based on parameters like Account, Provider, Patient, or Test Profile.
If this doesn't work as you'd expect, we’d love to hear from you to better understand your needs and ensure the batch reporting feature works effectively for you. You can reach out to support or your Account Manager to discuss this in more detail. Your insights would help us refine our tools further and ensure they meet your expectations.
Kind regards,

Dendi Review
I have been using dendi for 4 months and it’s been great!
Pros
What I liked the most about Dendi was how easy to was to use! The tabs make it very easy to access all of the information I need.
Cons
At times when trying to access I get a forbidden error. This is usually easily fixed by relogging in.
Response from Dendi
Thanks for your review, Cristy! We're glad to hear that you're having a great experience using Dendi.
We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing the login timeout errors. The auto-logout after periods of inactivity design is a security feature, but if you find that it's inhibitive to your work, please reach out to support or your account manager to let us know. We're happy to explore solutions for you.

Satisfied Dendi Customer
Pros
the ease of navigation and the Order List. The Order List is very useful in tracking samples, account volumes, etc...
Cons
The lack of sample tracking once it is placed in a batch.
Response from Dendi
Thanks for your feedback, Josh!
Enhanced sample tracking features are launching at the end of Q3 2024 (track sample locations within the lab and tube storage management).
This was a highly requested feature, so it was included in our product roadmap which is available for all Dendi users to see and leave feedback on. Keep an eye out for updates the product release notes under your account menu!

Streamlining Molecular Diagnostics
Dendi LIS has proven to be an valuable tool in our lab. Its seamless integration with our reporting systems, combined with a user-friendly interface and excellent support, makes it an ideal choice for managing PCR results. I highly recommend it to any lab looking to enhance their data management and reporting processes.
Pros
Dendi LIS has greatly improved our molecular diagnostics lab with its seamless integration with reporting systems, user-friendly interface, and lab instruments integration. The efficient lab order management and comprehensive test panels streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.
Cons
While Dendi LIS has significantly enhanced our lab operations, one area that could use improvement is the separation between the "Upload Results" tab and the "Review and Verify Results" page. Currently, having these functions on separate pages adds extra steps to our workflow, making the process less efficient than it could be.

Simple and effective LIS
Pros
I have worked for 3 different hospitals using a different LIS at each one. Coming into the research field, I was worried that the LIS used would be terrible, but Dendi has exceeded expectations. It is extremely easy to receive patient tissues and to report results. Anything we need to change or add, Dendi support has been extremely helpful in implementing it. The team also makes an effort to visit us to tell us about new features and to learn about any concerns we have.
Cons
I can't attest to everything since I am not an administrator, so I'm not too familiar with all of the features Dendi has to offer. However, I have no complaints about the interface, and I use it daily.

Integration to our Homebrew App
Dendi team is very easy to work with. They are flexible, especially with the integration of our software.
Pros
We developed our own App for our company. Dendi Team worked with us seemingly to have our App integrate well with their software.
Cons
The product is still in development, there are some nuances that could be improved in the LIS. But the team is working hard to have all those options.

Dendi LIS
Pros
Overall the system is easy to use for laboratorians. It doesn't take long to upload results that will integrate into the patient's file for reporting.
Cons
The only con I have is that I am not aware of all of the capabilities of the system at this time as a new user.
Response from Dendi
Thanks for the feedback, Jennifer! To help you get up to speed and find all the capabilities and new features, take a look at the Documentation Center (when you login, open your account menu by clicking your name in the top right). There you'll find a searchable knowledge base with videos, screenshots, and instructions.
You'll also find the support ticketing system there if you need any help! We typically respond and resolve any issues in under an hour!

Best SAAS LIS on the Market
Working with the folks at Dendi is a great pleasure. In my experience business success is made up of three components; Talent, Culture and Extreme Customer Focus. Dendi has figured out how to hire the best talent in the industry, create a professional and caring culture and most importantly, how to focus on delivering a cutting edge, modern and stable Laboratory Information System. We know because in the 10 plus years we have been in business, we have gone through 3 different legacy systems, all outdated. Dendi simplified the SAAS LIS model. We are thankful for Dendi for giving us that edge in keeping our business that much more successful.
Pros
Dendi is a very easy LIS to implement and use. The system is intuitive and makes training employees fast and easy.
Cons
We had no dislikes or issues with Dendi.

Great people with a great product.
I have highly enjoyed working not only with the product Dendi provides but also the team at Dendi. They are always quick to respond when an issue arises and love to hear feedback from their users that can help improve their product. The service they provide is top tier!
Pros
Dendi is so user-friendly. The flow from creating an order, to verifying the result, and finally reviewing the final report is so streamlined it takes new people to the team no time to pick up the workflow.
Cons
Dendi needs some work in recording quality control results. The dendi team has worked with me personally to improve this process. I have no doubt they will make this portion of the product align with the other awesome aspects this LIS provides.

Future-proofing clinical laboratory workflows
Overall, I would highly recommend Dendi - their product (while a bit raw), is top-notch, and their customer support is great too. If they continue on this trajectory, I can see them becoming the clear market leaders in this product segment.
Pros
With COVID-19, there's been a lot of changes at the lab level. Unlike some of the legacy LIS providers that some of my colleagues have been working with, Dendi LIS was quickly turn around necessary functionality and gracefully handle any adverse situations that came our way.
The built-in provider/patient portals, as well as their API, were also useful when it came to implementing new accounts, as they became a selling point for the lab as well.
Cons
As a software startup, Dendi LIS doesn't have all of the bells and whistles that you may expect from the traditional vendors you run into. That is perhaps the flipside for the product being so easy to use as well.
However, I have also found that they are more than willing to work with you on this as long as what you want can be generalized.
