The key features of this solution include visitor tracking, visitor background checks, reports and automatic staff alerts. The KeepnTrack sign-in feature can operate without user oversight. Visitors scan an ID, such as a driver's license, their information is recorded and a name badge is automatically printed for them. Information can also be entered manually. KeepnTrack runs background checks using the information collected and staff can be alerted via email or text message if the check reveals a criminal record. Users can access visitor sign-in and sign-out records, set user permissions, create lists of pre-approved visitors and monitor visitor activity from a web-enabled device. It notifies us to any potential matches. Since it is web-based, we can check it out of the building during fire and evacuation drills. It also keeps track of student tardies and the student history is easy and convenient to access. The barcode function is a must have\!\! > > **Cons**: Students are somewhat confused the first time using the system, but once they get used to it, they become very quick at using it. > > We are effectively keeping track of all of our students and are able to provide real time attendance to our administration in case of emergency. We use it to track students for late arrival and early departures. Employees sign in and out which enables us, in an emergency, to print out a report that tells us who is in the building. An immediate sexual background is done on visitors when checked in. We have our Volunteers do the background check and we are able to track volunteer hours. > > **Cons**: I really do not have any concerns. The technical part of the company has always been really helpful. > > The speed at which a background check can be done and the small cost has been a huge benefit for us.
