> Locize is the localization and translation management platform built and run for over 10 years by the maintainers of i18next, one of the most widely used JavaScript internationalization frameworks.

For Developers
Stop shuffling translation files. New source strings flow into Locize automatically - directly from code (saveMissing), via CLI in CI/CD, through the API, or by importing XLIFF, Android, iOS String Catalogs, gettext, RESX, CSV, YAML and more. Namespaces and versions map naturally to your release process, and branches let you localize feature work in isolation.

For Translators and Product owners
Everyone works in the same collaborative editor: translation memory, glossary and style guide keep wording consistent; screenshots and segment context show where a text lives; the in-context editor lets non-developers edit translations directly on the live website. Comments, history and progress tracking are built in.

Machine Translation and AI, governed
Bring your own MT/AI provider or use the built-in ones. Every translation permanently stores its origin (human, machine or AI), AI output is quality-scored automatically, and low-confidence translations can be routed through a human review workflow before they are published. Nothing machine-made hides among human work.

Instant Delivery
Approved translations publish to a global CDN and reach your users immediately - no redeploy, no app-store release. Versioning, per-segment history and automatic backups (with self-serve restore) keep every change auditable and reversible.

Enterprise-Ready
User roles and granular permissions, SSO, audit log, multi-project setups for agencies (tenants), EU-based data storage and encryption in transit and at rest.

Pricing
Free plan, then fixed monthly plans from $7 to $199 per project, each including a monthly word volume and unlimited edits. Beyond the included volume pricing is stepped: extra
capacity comes in packs, with optional auto-adapt so a release is never blocked. All projects of an organization share one invoice. Every account starts
with a 14-day full-feature trial - no credit card required.

## Reviews

### "They give back to a community a lot" — 5.0/5

> **Damian** | *8 August 2019* | Information Technology & Services | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Locize is made by the creators of i18next, the best i18n JavaScript library out there. All the toolkit Locize provides is open source and mostly well-documented. Also, their business model is very fair - instead of charging based on user number, they charge on usage.
>
> **Cons**: The UI design of Locize panel as well as the in-place editor feels a little clunky, maybe old-fashioned. A slight refresh would be a good idea.

### "Good and reliable service for translation management" — 5.0/5

> **Marius** | *22 February 2024* | Real Estate | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I like that interoperates well with i18next React library. That's how I got to try it out.
Learning on the way while using the service.
Appreciated the nice API integration.
Has more features than needed, nice that one can disable not used features.
>
> **Cons**: Has a bit of a learning curve to set it up and start using initially. But after 1/2 day of learning the docs and watching some Youtube tutorial videos I managed to set it up successfully.
>
> Overall well. Support is good, owners responsive to requests and feedback by email support.

### "Rude support and complicated UI" — 1.0/5

> **Krzysztof** | *17 February 2020* | Information Services | Recommendation rating: 0.0/10
>
> **Pros**: You can do translations, multiple versions, API, didn't notice any bigger issues with the core features
>
> **Cons**: Confusing UI in areas related to cancelling the subscription, for some reasons I was able to delete my account but subscription fee was still collected. After contact with the support, they explained me with exclamation marks that it's 100% my fault and they will not do the refund.
>
> A partner which use rude way of communicating? No thank you\!

### "Locize for DOC Web" — 5.0/5

> **Georgi** | *6 January 2025* | Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The easiness of access and possibility to search, replace and use translators implemented.
>
> **Cons**: I don't like the thing that when there are similar words for translation, I cannot be sure which in the program I am Translating. It will be good to have some kind of visuality.
>
> I really enjoy that easiness of access and possibility to work directly on site, not in separate file.

### "All depend on your needs and money" — 4.0/5

> **Oksana** | *4 October 2023* | Computer Software | Recommendation rating: 6.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The tenant feature. It is an excellent option for B2B companies with many clients or for companies that operate different brands in different locales. With the tenant feature, you don't need to upload translations per brand, region, or company. It is set in a way so that you need to upload differences only. Preview of changes. Double-checking never gets old:)Namespaces. They allow you to group your keys by feature or page on a website. The price. It's really affordable and the billing depends on your usage.
>
> **Cons**: Performance. The more keys and words are in the project, the longer they are saved. Backup. It's totally useless. Please, make it user-friendly so I can download all keys and texts in one file. Not per namespace and language.Lack of automation. Thank you for improving these options, but it's still not enough. Please add more options for copying languages (per space), or add a possibility to set rules for automated uploading as your competitors have. The history feature needs improvement.Documentation and customer support service could be more professional. You will receive some basic information but sometimes it's not enough.
