I spent 3 years researching what was available. At the end of the day I always found myself back on the moosocial site. In terms of form and functionality it is unmatched. With dozens of optional plug-ins offering many unique featurs often never seen on other platform, you can easily customize your site to just how you imagined while providing a unique and enjoyable experience for your members that will keep them coming back. Support, being new and not familiar with how PHP and dealing with a server, how to install the software on the server was the only reason I had not purchased Moosocial much sooner. But after having our site/community hosted on 3 other companies that cbarged a monthly fee to use their software that they hosted on a server that you shared with hundreds of other sites it became apparent that this wasn't the way to go and that we were just paying more for something that didn't even come close to what COULD be had for much less. Moo's tech support helped me decide on a hosting solution (Hostico) that was both very reasonable and provided us/our members with a much faster and stream lined experience. The difference was like night and day. if I had any questions they were more than willing to help.
