Leave and onboarding managment tool
Bamboo HR is extremely help product for us in managing our leaves , working hours , onboarding documnets , company internal information. The product is one of the simplest product we have used and it gives absolutely great performance in Web browser. Little issues with mobile app we have faced.
Pros
1. Extremely easy and sorted interface experience.
2. Managing HR onboarding documents, digital signature, leave management and counts are all super helpful.
3. High in performance and simplified product.
4. Compatible in both web and mobile version.
Cons
1. Very limited to its Dashboard option and no customization is availabile in Dashboard as well.
2. It sends multiple reminders sometime which is very overwhelming.

BambooHR Review
Overall, the experience was BambooHR was okay. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst either. We opted to leave BambooHR for a more robust platform that offered more support with payroll compliance, but there are features from BambooHR that I miss.
Pros
BambooHR is great for companies that are looking for the best bang for their buck. The platform is very esthetically pleasing and pretty user friendly. You are able to easily update payroll and tax information on your own. They have nice features that competitors like ADP don't have currently like linking the PTO requests to google calendar. If you have a smaller headcount with an easy payroll, this is the route to go.
Cons
You get what you pay for. The support is not the best nor the fastest if you need assistance with something. They offered a live chat feature, but many times could not answer my question immediately and had to create a case for an expert to review. There was no way to call into a support line for immediate assistance. You had to be very careful when terminating an employee because if you listed the wrong final paycheck date, they would disappear off of the payroll and you would have to update the date to add them back in.

It does not have everything but it is a good HR tool
Pros
They do have a great program to help map out your company org and everyone will have access to it. Also the PTO approval portion was great for individuals but I wish you could see the entire company or they provide a calendar that shows who is off each day so we do not have to use outlook. The document storage and signature process is flawless.
They also have a great search functionality that lets you search for employees and see their profile, job responsibilities etc. It was really helpful when I was new at the company
Cons
My only thing is related to time off, a shared calendar for the entire company would be ideal. I have heard that it was difficult to manage pay from, but I personally was not involved in that portion.

Solid system that's easy to use
I've been using some form of HRIS in my previous three positions. None has worked as well as BambooHR, so I enjoy using it, I believe employees prefer it to the others I've used, and I also believe it makes everyone's job easier.
Pros
BambooHR is really intuitive, and easy for employees to use and locate information which inherently makes my job easier. It is also reliable. There are very few instances where the system doesn't work as designed. The ATS is the star utilization, but PTO and all other personnel info systems are also great. Performance is good, too.
Cons
Some of the ancillary products need more development, like benefit administration and payroll. I'd like to see more integrations, as well.

Fantastic HRIS!
We've been using BambooHR for about a year now and it has been such a positive change from our previous HRIS. Functionality, ease of use, and customizability have all been huge positives for us.
Pros
Very user friendly; we have several employees that struggle with technology in general, but they're able to use the web app and the mobile app with very little help! They are also very good about keeping the software updated and add new features all the time that make it even more useful.
Cons
I wish I could do more with custom reports to include payroll information. They've started adding functionality to the custom reports, but so far it doesn't include payroll information. However, I do expect to see that before too long.

Easy to use - all in one
I absolutely love it. Our agency used it then we switched to a diff software but not we’re back. Its very user friendly and simple and straightforward

It’s slowing becoming a very easy to use all in one software (HR, payroll, time tracking, training, performance management, etc)

I think there are some small things here and there that I come across, like being able to capture more than 5 signatures on a signed doc. But nothing major!

Effortless Time Off Management and Flexible Solutions
As i said before for looking info about other teammate, ser you time off and the administration about this, its great and you can follow up all the notification by the mobile app.
Pros
Its was my first tool i used related of HR, and the experiences was awesome, because finally i finished to fish how many day of pto/flex left me to take.
Cons
As a final user the information we have on the desktop and mobile app are useful for check you time off, simple task and it’s really helpful for me.
So in overall it work for me.

Great for US focused business - but a bit manual
Generally good for a small business of our size (30 remote based employees). We also have the add on engage pack that means we can easily run bi-annual reviews (though these are also only top down - no options for 360 or much customisation here). We will eventually be looking for a more customisable approach as we scale up, but for now it gets the job done and is easy for the team to use.
Pros
Ease of set up and roll out to the employees. From an admin perspective it is pretty easy to use and customise to suit your business needs.
Their support team are also generally on hand to help with customisation or step by step instructions if you get stuck
Cons
It's very US first, so for a small UK/EU based business it might not be the most suitable. We spend quite a lot of time having to manually set up all the various pubic holidays for our entire team and then also manually add these to their PTO lists too so that they show up for everyone in the 'who is out' calendar. This is very time consuming and a simple toggle field to share this auto populated info with all employees would solve this.
Also would like to be able to customise the colours to our actual branding - there is nothing close to it from their predefined colours

Very positive experience!
Overall, a very positive experience. The home page/dashboard is very handy and for hiring purposes its great!
Pros
I really like all the features, I mostly use it for hiring and it makes viewing candidates very easy!
Cons
The most recent update has changed the look of the platform and I'm not a huge fan of it. There could also be better reporting to come from the hiring section.

Hiring and onboarding software for small organizations
We just started using this software for hiring and onboarding people for our company and now we are completelt replying on this software to expedite the hiring process and till today it has given us very good results , so satisfied with this software till now.

Solution for HR people data storage and multi-access level people management
LOVE the customer service. The reps are easy to work with, willing to troubleshoot and very helpful.
Pros
Houses all Employee HR info in one easy to locate place. It also has variable access levels to allow trainers, supervisors, managers and IT support all different access levels.
Cons
We had to custom build a place to keep employee notes. It works well enough for us and is functional, but I am not sure why the software doesn't have that feature included. It is basically just a historical table with a few fields and a notes section. I hope that it doesn't keep getting too ala carte for every new improvement they make, sometimes it feels like companies are adding feature after feature to run up the price and make more money off of existing loyal customers.

Cost effective HRIS with some great features. Lacking in others
Overall, BambooHR has been slipping in the last year or so. New packaging/pricing that is worse, customer support stretched thin, features lacking with a roadmap that still misses the mark. This isn't just me saying this, as others are talking about this as well. Their dedicated HR Slack workspace is often just issues, complaints, etc., which mostly are met with radio silence from BambooHR. When we implemented them, I think they were much better than what they have become now.
If you are a small business, BambooHR is a great product with their new Core package being my recommendation. If you are even approaching 30, 40, 50+ employees, or are international, I would suggest maybe looking elsewhere.
Pros
I really enjoy many aspects of BambooHR. It is a cost effective solution for small to medium businesses. Great with onboarding/hiring, employee documentation & profiles, UI and navigation, etc. Also, the payroll part of the system has come a long way and is now a well designed feature that is easy to use.
Their customer support team, when you can get ahold of them, is fantastic. One of the best things about BambooHR.
Cons
It lacks either features entirely, or lacks complexity of competitors. The ATS and Performance parts are extremely lacking with limited options to customize or enhance. Missing many common features that other platforms have had for many years now.
A general theme with BambooHR is that you can only go so deep when it comes to how you can customize things. The two built in surveys they offer, for example, have no option to customize, nor can you run custom surveys at all, which is a shame.
Additionally, BambooHR recently decided to completely redo their package and pricing structure and it is not a good change. We are on a grandfathered package that they are going to be dropping support for in some cases. There is no incentive to switch to one of the other packages because one offers less at almost the same cost, and the other adds on 3 features that are either redundant, not really a full feature, or that we already have. Performance was an add-on and is now included with the Pro package, which is way more costly.
Customer support team, as mentioned in Pros, is great, but the chat feature is never available anymore and sometimes it feels like they have so many inquiries that they would rather point the finger at other things versus solving problems and working with customers.
If you are an international company, BambooHR is extremely lacking in support there. You can tell that BambooHR was built with US employees in mind first and many things just don't work in other countries, or you have to find workarounds.
In my opinion, BambooHR has become what I think they have tried to not be, which is a corporate entity selling a product versus selling a mission/vision of setting people free to do great work. They claim to listen to their customer base, but it is clear when talking to other customers that they don't.

BambooHR +++ For the HR person that wants to have it all in ONE PLACE
Awesome, from the booth in SHRM Las Vegas, the reps that explain and demo the platform, the onboarding people - [sensitive content hidden] was a GODDESS... You cannot go wrong with this group. I have had a fantastic experience and it's not done yet. They are constantly improving, and I am here for it!
Pros
Ease of use, that everything you do in HR is in ONE Platform, You can pick and choose what you want to pay for and use BUT I DID purchase it all and it's so inexpensive!!

Best purchase EVER
Best HR platform I have used so far. The training and resources available are excellent and most anybody can utilize it with little to no training.
Pros
It is very streamlined, and you can customize it to be very personal based on your needs.
Cons
Adjusting time sheets can be difficult if they forgot to clock out.

Big Fan of BambooHR
I inherited this product when I came into my position as HR Director. I loved how easy it was to use from the beginning! I even chose to dive deeper into all that we use it for and my employees love it just as much as I do! The BEST part, when I have an issue that I need to call support on, they are always so friendly and helpful! Best customer service in my book!
Pros
I love it's simple format! I use it as my brain for HR as I move away from too many spreadsheets. I love how everything is available and at my fingertips quickly. My employees love it too! The app makes everything so much easier for them and they appreciate having the information easily available and can self-service most things. I just LOVE it so much!
Cons
There are a few features that could be easier to use for inputting our data. Since we have a church we have some unique payroll things that are doable just not as easy as I feel they could be.

BambooHR is a winner!
Overall, I'll give BambooHR an 8 out of 10 rating. I think for the pricing, I'd give it a 10 out of 10. It offers good core functionality and ease of use. I'm quite impressed and happy with our selection.
Pros
Bamboo is easy to use, even for a non-tech/HRIS person. We were able to use the HR team w/ the support of the BHR team to design and buildout. Additionally, it is easy for employees to use--very intuitive.
We were also able to use this platform globally, whereas other platforms didn't have the capability.
Cons
BHR still is in the younger stages of buildout. There is some functionally that I had with other HRIMs that are missing from Bamboo including a more defined benefits platform and more integration capability.

Bamboo HR is a fantastic HRIS tool for a business looking to enhance their people & HR...
Bamboo was a brilliant tool to use to get us into using HRIS and introducing HR to our business. It ultimately didn't scale to our needs as we exploded as a company but we couldn't have got where we are today without it.
Pros
Bamboo HR was incredibly simple to implement with excellent documentation which enabled us to have Bamboo set up very quickly. It is definitely one of the most user friendly tools and we implemented this without a HR team so that shows how intuitive the platform is. Bamboo HR also has a fantastic array of integrations which is pretty critical. We used Officevibe and then Lattice for peformance management so we seamlessly integrated this tying together our tech stack.
Cons
Bamboo HR lacked a lot of features that we needed as we started scaling. We moved to Rippling due to a number of limitations with the Bamboo platform like password management, a stronger ATS etc so we could vertically consolidate our stack under one platform.

Great application for Company Management
Overall, I really enjoy using it because it really enhances the relationship between HR and employees with any incessant need for direct communication and everything is tracked.
Pros
I like the ease of the application and how quickly you can request for leaves or look at other people on leave as well. I wish that we could put in our own color profile as a personal setting, rather than stick to the one that the company has chosen. For example, HR has chosen the color orange, and I would like to change the color to Blue as a personal setting.
Cons
I would like to see different views available for people on leave. For example, within teams, I would like to see that a person has blocked off a day for an annual leave and can't apply on that day because it's already taken by somebody else. It helps employees under teams recognize that another team member might be out that day and they may not get an approval.
I would like to see flexibility on the way hours are plotted for a workday. For example, within our company we have to use percentages like 0.25 to describe a quarter day and because we have an 8-hour workday sometimes we need to take leave for only 1 hour or 1/2 hour and there is a difficulty in plotting that as a leave.

A great tool for people and employment management
we've been using BambooHR for over 6 years, overall very satisfied with the product. It makes our team collaboration much easier. I just wish it can be integrated with other payroll system such as ADP.
Pros
Very user-friendly, easy to explore and find the functions, not much training is needed. I also like the fact that we're able to customize the reports we need.
Cons
The notification feature is not very flexible. For example, we're able to get the notification when there's a addition or termination. but can't get one if there's an internal transfer. therefore we have to notify other teams out side of BHR.

SATISFIED CUSTOMER
Overall BambooHR is one of the better HRIS/Payroll systems for which I have used. I would definitely say it is a great system for startup companies and small businesses.

Time clock for diverse team
Pros
We used to clock in from a punch-in/punch-out machine - no security at all since anyone can punch it in and out for you. That's when DDF decided to move things to Bamboo HR, I like that we can clock in on our phone, it saves us the trip to the building where the punch-in/punch-out machine is located and then to our designated sales booth/kiosk.
Cons
What I didn't like is if you miss clocking in or out, you will have to reach out to HR and they have to make the changes for you. When I was with a different company, we used TimeDoctor, it lets you make the changes for yourself, provide evidence, and then it will be sent to HR for approval.
It saves my time and the HR personnel's time.

We love bamboo
Pros
Bamboo is a very friendly HRIS, super intuitive, and easy to use, you can have everything in the same platform, your ats, performance reviews, files of each employee, surveys, onboarding, for the employees is very easy to use, ask for their vacations, see the org chart and check their info and documents anytime they want.

Honestly i like it very much, i will just add more things to the module of performance reviews because it can be a little bit limited
