The nightmare that wasn't
I have been a psychiatrist for over 30 years. I still write my session notes in longhand and do not store records on a computer but in a filing cabinet under lock and key. So when the state passed the law that I have to use electronic scripts, I expected a nightmare.
The nightmare did not materialize. Initial set up was not the easiest, but then I am not computer savvy. Once the set up was completed and I learned the ins and outs of the process, I am delighted to have this!
It is easier to renew scripts, easier to track prescriptions, and it definitely decreases the chances of an erroneous prescription. Safety increased! Documentation improved! Less time is spent renewing prescriptions as I no longer need to call in the scripts.
Pros
Once I learned it, it is a piece of cake.
Cons
Some aspects are not intuitive, but that's me. Help was easily accessible and helpful.

Buyer Beware
It was absolutely awful. From the start it was clunky, pt feedback on the experience signing up was terrible. Customer Support was non-existent. I have met with them multiple times and they have been unable to fix any of the issues (consent forms not working, Telehealth not working). I created multiple tickets. Their response was "we said we are looking into it". They promised me a functional program they DID NOT deliver. Worst of all they are still making me pay monthly! The contract says they will provide a functional program and they can't do that!!! I went the KAREO. A bit more expensive but worth it. I am sure they will respond to this (although they seem pretty clueless). They DID not deliver any promises in the contract PLAIN and SIMPLE.
Pros
They make it seem like its low cost but they then add on fee after fee. I actually liked nothing. Even the interface is sloppy
Cons
Telehealth is external to RXNT, Customer support is terrible. They seem to know nothing about their own program. Had to figure out all on my own.

Pediatric Clinic
Very good. I am happy with our choice to use this system.
Pros
Ease of use and low cost. All in one system.
Cons
It does not include a couple of features that are needed in the pediatric setting. You have to have separate tabs open for each part of the system, schedule, ehr, billing.

E-Scribe New user
Customer service and the representative that helped with set up was very nice and helpful. [sensitive content hidden] has been very supportive
Pros
I like that we do not have to completely fill out the demographics for a patient. I like that the medications saved are able to be viewed by all our network
Cons
I would like to have the pharmacy search easier for small pharmacies and I would like to have the pharmacy list be saved for the whole network like the medications saved. I think you need more training. The video's are more of a basic understanding and the rest I had to figure out on my own. It would be nice if you had a rep visit the facility and offer a training session to the trainer.

Quite simply, the best prescribing platform available!
I was first introduced to RxNT about 20 years ago at the advent of electronic prescribing. In the 2 decades since, I have used perhaps 8 different prescribing platforms, usually as directed by the health system with which I worked or embedded in an EMR. I have consistently favored RxNT above all others. In fact, the past 2 companies I worked for adopted RxNT at my urging. And now as I have transitioned to and independent practice status, I have once again engaged RxNT as my prescribing program. I'm extremely satisfied, and feel like I've returned home!
Pros
From a clinician perspective, it's quite user friendly -- intuitive, logical data location, functional drop downs, easy to add patients, and archive favorite pharmacies, to name a few benefits.
Cons
The onboarding was a bit more onerous than it probably needs to be, but then again, because I have a history with the program, it may have simply been less relevant to me.

Wonderful Experience with RXNT
My experience has been great. I enjoy the fact that there is always someone available in the rare event that I require assistance with anything.
Pros
Medication entry and tracking is very simple. Re-ordering medication is made simple. I appreciate the fact that other pharmacies are easily accessible as an option for narcotics.
Cons
I really like everything about RXNT. I do not have any complaints, concerns, or questions at this time. I believe it is an awesome program.

Great, user friendly and a great resource to have.

Used in a very small practice.
For my purposes this is a good EHR since I have very few patients. I want to use an EHR and it is not very expensive.
Pros
The price for this EHR is low which is very helpful since I have a very small practice.
Cons
Some features have been a problem for me to use. In particular, it seemed difficult to get set up for e-prescribing scheduled drugs. So I opted not to use this.

Beware of this product
Poor to mediocre at best due to the delays in functionality.
Pros
When its working, its great. When its not, it is a barrier to care and your call schesule
Cons
ANYTIME you have a new phone, prepared for waiting days to be functional again.
ANYTIME you have an issue, its ALL day to get it fixed. Constant poor customerservice etiquette like: "do you have an email?" YES and its confirmed on your site.
Constant- oh I cant fix this part, etc etc

Dr C. Ziomek
Good in general. It is really nice to get faxes directly into RXNT.
Pros
Ability to e-prescribe and the ability to make notes without templates.
Cons
After an encounter is printed out the words are too small to read easily. It would also be helpful to be able to chose what to print to give to the patient, for example, just the assessment and plan. It would be helpful to be able to move from one encounter to another for a given patient more easily when reviewing their prior appointments.

Not good
Customer service is the worst part about this company. They frequently have notifications for “outages” it is a really laborious process to set up trainings or get any kind of assistance from customer service. Also, when the sales representative discussed the products, they did not mention anything about the 14 month commitment to subscribing. When this was discussed with customer service after trying to cancel the subscription, they apologize that I was not informed of that and told me that person was no longer working for the company. There’s been quite a bit of employee turnaround since I’ve signed up for this service two months ago. Took multiple attempts at canceling to finally get someone on the phone and have it confirmed.
Pros
E prescribing from RXNT app was easy to use
Cons
Access to patient portal for the patients is a tedious process, requiring multiple steps with emails frequently going to junk mail. The interface is too busy and not intuitive for daily flow of quickly accessing notes and prescribing features through desktop. Recommended to use a large monitor while using Chrome which is inconvenient if you’re trying to chart on a laptop using any other browser. Can only access appointments an E, prescribing from the app, no ability to chart from there.

RXNT used for Hospice
I have been able to profile new Nurses relatively quickly and anytime I call Customer Service, I get a human voice. That makes a real difference to me!
Pros
I like to e prescribing feature within RXNT. This allows our nurses to profile medications so family can pick them up at neighborhood pharmacies.
Cons
I have had staff nurses report that RXNT is hard to get established with, but I feel that is in part to lack of use.
