> Functionality&#10;&#10;Macaw AMS is a cloud-hosted Insurance Agency Management platform that supports end to end functions of Brokers, MGAs \&amp; Lloyds Coverholders. Both Retail and Wholesale Broking can be supported with Macaw AMS. &#10;&#10;Macaw AMS has an in-built CRM. &#10;&#10;It supports New Business and Renewals comprehensively. &#10;&#10;Highly complex Rating and Underwriting logic can be embedded. &#10;&#10;It supports Claims Intimation and Tracking. &#10;&#10;It comes with a detailed Billing and Payables component that caters to Carrier Extracts as well. &#10;&#10;The system has built-in Document Management System, Rules and Workflow components, and an engine to report, visualize and analyze operational data. &#10;Integrations are available with OFAC checker, Payment Gateway, eSign, email marketing. &#10;&#10;Macaw AMS enables the Customers, Producers as well as Carrier Partners to self serve with the help of the specialized portals.&#10;&#10;Following are some of the business benefits of using Macaw AMS&#10;&#10;1.&#9;Improve efficiency with Single Customer View&#10;&#10;This MGA had a portfolio of high-volume and low ticket-size Policies. At renewal, they were used to get a lot of calls that required attention of the customer support team. As a result, a lot of effort was needed to maintain a good renewal ratio.&#10;&#10;The customer support team resolved the issue using the single customer view facility of Macaw. This facility enabled the team to get all the data relevant for the customer at one place including the opportunities, quotations, policies, claims, service requests and contact details with a view of the consolidated portfolio. &#10;&#10;2.&#9;Improve Renewals Ratio with automated campaign&#10;&#10;One of our Customers had a policy portfolio that was distributed across customer segments and different lines of insurance. Due to heavy competition from aggregators as well as other carriers / brokers, they had to depend heavily on the outgoing calls at the time of renewal and spent a lot of time and effort in the process.&#10;&#10;With Macaw’s automated renewal process, they could identify the renewals well in advance between 90 and 180 days, they could categorize the renewals into low-touch and manual, they could adopt different channels across the segments (fully digital workflow for the low-touch segment and auto-allocation to customer service agents for manual segment), they could organize drip campaigns by email and sms, and could reduce effort involved by automatic issuance of policies. The renewal ratio could be improved and customer service team was spending less effort.&#10;&#10;3.&#9;Improve accuracy with in-built underwriting and rating engines&#10;&#10;One of our Customers, an MGA, had a complex set of products for which the underwriting and rating was manual due to the inherent complexity. This had two implications, key persons were needed to work the quotations and it was very difficult to maintain uniform criteria.&#10;&#10;With Macaw’s automated underwriting, rating and surplus lines tax and fees components, the MGA could deliver automated underwriting and rating for all its products, resulting in a significant reduction of time to produce a quote.&#10;&#10;4.&#9;Improve efficiency using integrated invoicing and statement of accounts&#10;&#10;It takes a lot of effort to execute accounting activities separately from the Agency Management System, possibly through usage of spreadsheets. &#10;&#10;With Macaw, where the invoicing and commissions processes are fully automated and integrated with the policy management functions, the MGA could achieve the same objectives with lower time and effort.&#10;&#10;5.&#9;Visualize, assess and report on accumulated information from ops &#10;&#10;One of our Customers, an MGA, had a process of extracting data / reports from the system, and was manually analysing the same for reporting the business results. This was a significantly complex process requiring significant time. &#10;&#10;With Macaw’s Explorer facility, which provides the ability to consolidate operational data, to automate reporting and to create visualizations, the MGA could significantly improve.

> The cost benefit analysis proved to be true and the platform allowed the business to go 100% virtual.   This is impressive for a 20 year old MGA who has to deal with online sales, executive sales, producer sales, underwriting, customer classification, policy administration and claims.

> **Pros**: I do like that we can customize the features we want that cater to our business, since it's so niche.&#10;It has come a long way since we first started using the system.&#10;Our users seem to be getting used to and able to navigate easier.

> **Cons**: Not sure if this is an internal problem, but it takes forever for system changes to be made when we have requests.&#10;There are still too many clicks/steps to accomplish certain simple tasks.&#10;Random issues seem to occur all of the time - payment info disappears, PT ledgers don't work, etc.  When one issue is being resolved and fixed, another one occurs it seems.&#10;I don't like that I can't work in the early hours of the morning.  The system is very slow and doesn't work efficiently until after 7AM.  I work as early as 4AM some mornings and need it to be running smoothly.

> Overall experience is our company launched this system 2 years ago, and there has been a lot of progress.  But it seems like a never ending road and we employees have to wait months for certain changes to take place.  I don't know if that is program costs, meaning too expensive for our company?  Above my pay grade.  But the system is also up and down.  The speed is not always there, and I have high speed internet with full access.  I will say, it has gotten better as a user.  But our clients still struggle with using it.

> **Pros**: I am really impressed with the calculations that Macaw can perform. We have a lot of rules and regulations for our rates, and Macaw is able to correctly provide the premium and taxes we need to provide to clients.

> **Cons**: The main con about Macaw is the wait time for some of the dashboards. Most of the dashboards work provide the reports fast, but there are a couple that require a couple of minutes to provide the report, even with a reasonable size of data.
