The Core modules are timesheets, expenses, purchases, invoicing and reporting. Enter your timesheets and expenses against a job and job task (E.g. Job '1001' for Job Task 'Drawings'). At say the month-end, generate a draft sales invoice for that job. All new timesheets are tagged to the new draft invoice. Overwrite the calculated fee (based on hours x fee rates) with a fixed fee as required, allocate the next invoice number to seal the invoice, and send the invoice. The sending of the invoice is just a few clicks, where an Outlook email pops up with a template message and a pdf invoice attachment, ready for you to click the Outlook Send. The final part of the core system is reporting. The job and staff reports give you visibility into the job financials of the business, at the press of a button. This gives you the tools to improve job pricing and staff performance . There are other modules which can be incorporated over time. These include quotes, email filing, document management and contact management. Moving to a database system, or migrating from an old one, is no small step. You will want assurance that the transition will be as least disruptive as possible, and you will want to be guided through the whole process. It allows time sheets to be input directly by staff which gives us up to date information on costings. We have better transparency of our figures and the vast number of reports available enables us to analyse our figures very easily and accurately. It works with Sage perfectly. > > **Cons**: You have to remember that it is an Access database and it will only do what you generate it to do.
