Easy to use & a great visualisation tool
Really good! I've been using Power BI for over 3 years and am an avid user of it. After demo-ing the product it my organisation, it became the primary software for visualisation replication Google Data Studio. There are very helpful forums and videos everywhere that assist with all tasks but the main aspect that i love is the integration into GA4 and adobe analytics!
Pros
Incredibly easy to use, has fantastic integrations with a wide range of products and the web portal makes it incredibly easy to access for both staff and clients. Highly recommend
Cons
The main issue i would say is speed of the desktop app, it's very slow and can cause your laptop to use the majority of CPU to run it.

Power Bi is a god send
Very positive, we are planning on migrating all of our reports back onto power BI after some issues we have had with the google suite. Learning it was very simple given some basic prior knowledge but more advanced knowledge is required to access the full extent of the application.
Pros
I love power query and the many options which are available for report customization. I really like how intuitive it all was for me especially merging complex data sets. The DAX code allows complex functions when processing data to divine advanced insights.
Cons
My least favourite thing about power bi is definitely the formatting options. In terms of making things the same size and auto aligning correctly it can sometimes be quite a hassle.

Good tool with some drawbacks
I am a fairly new user of Microsoft Power BI. It's certainly easier to use than my organisation's previous system (Oracle BI). However I'm finding it harder to get used to than I expected, as someone who is always keen to try out some new software.
Pros
Good tool for standardising the presentation of data and simplifying access to it
Cons
Not particularly intuitive to use. Maybe this is inevitable given the complexity of the package. However I find it confusing at times to use filters and reset them as there seem to be several different ways in which filters can be applied.

Power BI - Excel on steroids
I learnt Power BI capabilities first through Excel Power Pivot and then rolled out Power BI at my company. I liked it so much that I moved to consultancy and now support companies in rolling out Power BI as a career. I only work with Power BI as I genuinely prefer it over other BI tools.
Pros
Coming from a business background I found Power Bi easy to access, learn and ultimately master. It combines the best of both worlds: easy access and powerful capabilities.
Cons
There’s a few (isolated) things where competitive solutions may have a better capabilities : maps are one of them.

Ease of use and great on-boarding experience
I am a supply chain analyst. I use the product daily for reporting and ad-hoc analysis. I often confronted to massive data base and multiple data source. PBI empowers me to build complex data model and produce sharps dashboard for others user in my organisation.
Pros
I really like the profusion of learning media for PBI (webinar, forum, microsoft learning experience and LinkedIn Learning). You can learn at your pace. Quickstarting is easy. Becoming proficient require a bit more patience but is relatively easy for people using other microsoft tools (Excel).
I like that the product is deployed in many company. The competencies are transferable.
I like the well defined working environnement (Query -> BI -> Viz) and the provided editor that are really enabling for people like me that are not developper by trade.
Automation of import, analysis and viz is also a real game changer for people that were dependant on Excel before.
Cons
I dislike the lack of userfriendly info for more complex developpement.
I feel not guided enough regarding more technical information regarding the product.

MSBI is master of businiess intelligence
There is plenty of documentation available online from creating visuals to advance functions using measures and It is easy enough for a non-developer to use and turn a mess of data into an intelligent and understandable story.
Pros
Microsoft Power BI is a wonderful cloud-based business intelligence tool that helps us to visualize data from multiple sources.
As per my view, it turns ugly numbers into amazing reports and visualizations and it doesn't require any prior high programming or technical knowledge.
Cons
We may experience some performance degrade when we work are working with big dataset. No. of data refresh is limited per day!

Robust tool, with a steep learning curve
There is a pretty steep learning curve to set up a robust dashboard, but if you stick with it the insights can be very helpful. For the price, it has been worth the effort and our team gets regular use and value from the many dashboard pages we have in place.
Pros
With the right data backing it, the dashboards can be adjusted and augmented quickly, sometimes right in the browser, to glean new insights.
Cons
When manipulating data, the language and structures needed are clunky and proprietary. For example, to display a date in a new format conditionally, a new measure needs to be built, written with functions and syntax specific to Power Bi.
Reasons for Switching to Microsoft Power BI
Cost of entry was much lower, and with a small team of users made more sense.- Industry: Retail

Our trusty BI tool for all-things data
I've been a huge fan of Power BI since we switched to it from Excel. We use it to create dashboards, set up automated reports, and anything else that requires reporting. In the years that I've used it, I've very rarely ran into bugs or performance issues. It's relatively easy to set up, has very advanced reporting capabilities, and tons of integrations you can set up pretty easily to pull data from different places. You can't fault it for BI.
Pros
We used to use Excel but switched over to Power BI for the more advanced features. And they've been very very handy for us. The data cleaning works a lot better, there's tons more cutomization options, and some integrations have been made much easier compared to just Excel.
Cons
The imterface isn't the best to be honest, especially compared to stuff like Tableu. But gets the job done nonetheless.

Powerful analytics with an intuitive user interface (UI) and outstanding data visualization...
In one convenient spot, Power BI gives me excellent access to all the data sources and data sets I generate when creating the reports. I have various devices at my disposal to access the data at any time, anyplace. By using easy clicks, users may highlight features, apply filters, and interact with the dashboards.
Pros
Power BI enables users to work together and share dashboards and data with other people. Reports and dashboards can be shared by email, social media, and web publishing, among other methods available to users.
To ensure that sensitive data is protected, Power BI contains robust security features. In addition to controlling access to data, reports, and dashboards, users can create rules for preventing data loss.
Cons
Data that Power BI can ingest is limited in size. The free version must be extended to the paid version if I want to import data bigger than 2GB. It can also crash while processing huge datasets with complicated measurements, which makes using Power BI stressful at times.

The Greatest Visualization Tool Ever Is Power BI!
My preferred tool for data analysis is Power BI. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, I occasionally need to obtain data insights and carry out predictive analysis. For me, Power BI visualization makes things pretty simple. It assists me in determining what kind of data storage the data would require.
Additionally, anyone can create reports locally on their device.
Lastly, PowerBI desktop is available to all users for free.
Pros
The most user-friendly analytics program is Power BI. Among all the data visualization applications on the market, it has the most user-friendly interface. It offers nearly every kind of graph, chart, and visual aid required for analytics. Data transformation on-the-go is made easier using Power BI's (Power Query) data transformation feature.
Cons
This is the one limitation I see in PowerBI, users need be somewhat proficient in writing SQL queries and the DAX language, which is used to produce the calculated columns and measurements.
However, little technical knowledge is needed for paginated reports.

Microsoft Power BI from a SharePoint Dev
The steepest slope to climb was formula syntax. It was a lot of testing in excel and trying to convert to Power BI. Luckily the forums are helpful, and most formulas are already available to copy and paste from the forums too.
Pros
I enjoyed the natural availability of Microsoft Power BI within SharePoint lists. It made quick dashboards and quick visuals easy, without having to navigate between different programs, I could just do it all in the same browser window.
Cons
The licensing and sharing was confusing and frustrating to begin with, but I guess any product has to make money somehow. We can't get everything for free.
