It's very developer friendly while also being intuitive enough for our sales team to go into the portal to create licenses when necessary. It's been incredibly stable and has kind of faded into the background of our app, which is what you want for licensing. On prices and plans, the dev tier let us try it out for free and the paid tiers are all very reasonable. I never felt like I had to make a huge leap to get the value I needed. > > **Cons**: We hit one annoying hiccup that caused a little bit of chaos for us. The API rate limit on the dev tier bit us. We knew we were over, but we got this message as an email: \> If we see this usage trend continue over the next 2 weeks, we will automatically upgrade your account to the next appropriate tier to support your current request volume. If this was just an occasional spike in volume, no worries, and no need to upgrade yet\! That was on Friday. So, we thought we would be ok to wait until Monday to fix it. But that message was inaccurate and our API calls started getting rejected over the weekend. The upside: 1) It was an easy fix to just upgrade our plan 2) \[sensitive content hidden\] responded promptly to my complaint about this personally and agreed that that message wasn't right for the free tier and that it would be fixed. > > We evaluated several licensing solutions and Keygen won because of it's broad feature support, dev friendliness, and compatible pricing.
