Adobe creative cloud review by a real user

Pros

What I like best about the creative cloud was access to the most up to date versions of art editing software

Cons

The cost as well as the fact that you don’t own any of the software and when your subscription runs out you are left without your work and software.

Not worth it

It's not worth it if you're a freelance, especially when you're starting now in the business. I will cancel my subscription once and for all when this year is over, and I'm only waiting because the idea of paying a fine to then not be able to use the apps until the very end doesn't sit right with me, so I'll just continue paying until the end and won't subscribe again unless the service actually becomes professional.

Pros

If you buy the Adobe Creative Suite you get all the apps you need for a fairly good price

Cons

You can't actually cancel your subscription at any moment, you'll have to pay a fine that amounts to a year worth of usage of the apps.
The apps crash constantly despite the constant updates, making it difficult to work with them and with a high risk of compromising the work you're doing if you make a living off of it.

Professional Software for Professional Users

Overall I enjoy working in the software included in Adobe Creative Cloud. The software is industry-standard and trustworthy for the professional user.

Pros

I enjoy having access to all of the software I need for design projects.

Cons

I dislike that the AI features don't handle requests to add text to AI-generated images very well.

Overall I would not be performing at the same level in my career without this piece of software.

Pros

The integration of all my favourite pieces of software. Also how well they work together.

Cons

Sometimes some of the pieces of software can be buggy and you have to find work arounds.

Adobe Is My Daily Driver

I have been using Adobe tools for over 25 years and generally they have become better. I have recommended a variety of the Adobe tools to others depending on their needs and budget.

Pros

The cross-functionality between applications is critical and generally works very well. For example, I enjoy being able to create pieces in Lightroom, Photoshop, and Illustrator and compile them in InDesign. I was just using the tools today to build a variety of print and digital pieces.

Cons

There are some silly quirks with the programs such as in Photoshop you can't paste the file path when opening or saving a file (they use an old file structure format), or in InDesign you can't export as an SVG. There are work arounds, so the software is still useable as a daily driver.

Adobe Creative Cloud I the only way

I use this every day... all day. I do not see myself without it. I used to have 3 or 4 graphic element subscriptions but have since dropped them all after using the Creative Cloud. Every aspect of my business has benefitted from the Creative Cloud and it seems to get better every single day. We take time, as a team, to use their tutorials and continue to learn every single day.

Pros

I like how they have everything bundled in an easy to use, and the fluidity between users and teams. It helps us stay organized and allows us to work together seemlessly.

Cons

Some apps do have a steep learning curve and can look scary at first. To battle this, they have tons of video tutorials to use and learn along and from.

We use Abobe Creative Cloud every day and have only one complaint...

The Adobe Creative Cloud is just one reliable product and having all their apps in one place for all our creative needs is key for us. It's extremely affordable and we have had no issues in about five or six years/ We would highly recommend using this platform.

Pros

Adobe Creative Cloud has become a must for our photographic and video editing company. We use it every day and it's critical that we can use their features across all devices really easily. It looks good, works really well and have had no issues over the last five or six years we've used it. This is one reliable product.

Cons

The only feature that doesn't seem to work properly for us on the Adobe Creative Cloud is the RUSH mobile App. I suppose this might not come under the Abode Creative Cloud review but we've tried uninstalling it and downloading it (obviously through the Adobe Creative Cloud) and nothing seems to work. The issue is with the exporting feature within the app. It always leaves a green flickering line at the bottom, whether the video is old or new.

Alternatives Considered

Canva and GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program)

Reasons for Switching to Adobe Creative Cloud

While Canva is free and great for graphic design projects in our company we also needed photo and video editing which they don't provide to the high standard of Photoshop or Bridge. GIMP seems to be a bit tricky to use so for the price the Adobe Creative Cloud is really worth it.

Cons

Difficulty finding some tools and shortcuts. For certain editions.

Adobe Creative Cloud

Pros

I like that I can use multiple Adobe products for different types of projects I work on. I use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and Indesign the most, and it houses all of these programs in one place.

Cons

The price is very costly if you are not eligible for any type of discount and since I don't use it that often anymore I cannot justify the price for the subscription every month.

Adobe Creative Cloud has it all

Adobe Creative Cloud is the industry standard for a reason. If you know how design professionally, you won't be disappointed.

Pros

With one subscription of Adobe Creative Cloud, you're able to save on the cost of having to buy separate tools and have everything you could want all at your disposal - including new AI features.

Cons

Adobe Creative Cloud requires a certain skill level to adopt and use on a daily basis. It's not necessarily best suited for the quick jobs for social media.

Adobe Creative Cloud Stands Above

As a user of Adobe for over 20 years, I could not imagine completing my daily tasks without it. Form professional projects to personal work, I am truly a daily user of this great software. The learning curve may be larger than some software, but well worth the effort in the results you will see.

Pros

The sheer volume of creative tools offered by Creative Cloud is unmatched. As a design professional, I have seen the creep of secondary "free" design software entering the market. I have found none come close to the Adobe portfolio. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign & Lightbox should be staples for any designer worth their weight. The new solutions offered with every update have been amazing as well. Recently the dimensions tool has directly impacted our time savings as we proof our customers.

Cons

Recently the separation of Pantone has been an ongoing struggle. Although paid solutions exist, the feeling from my team has always been the top design software should have the top color matching tools integrated as a standard feature.

*Almost* perfect with a few exceptions

Pros

I’ve been a user of all of Adobe’s programs for 10+ years. If you are a creative type, anything you need to bring your vision to life is within one of their programs. Photoshop allows for advance photo manipulation, Lightroom is great for color correction, and Premier Pro is great for videographers.

Cons

The price. If you are a hobbyist, the price can become a little steep at $59.99/mo.

Dated Pricing & Product

Adobe was a staple for my job at one point but as newer, cheaper, and better services have emerged I have canceled my adobe subscription for good. I can no longer justify using their applications when there are so many others that are better substitutes at a fraction of the cost or even free.

Pros

The wide variety of products offered can be used in a varity of ways

Cons

The cost is just insane. Why not offer a 1 time payment for your product? Having to spend thousands of dollars in a few years of using the service is insane. This is why people are switching including myself!

A review of an artist

The subscription model, software complexity, and system requirements can pose challenges for some users. It's a valuable resource for professionals but may require consideration of specific needs and budget for others.

Pros

The most impactful features in Adobe Creative Cloud are the integration of applications for a seamless workflow, real-time editing capabilities, and the vast library of design templates and assets. It is generally user-friendly, but some applications may have steeper learning curves, especially for beginners.

Cons

Common dislikes among some users about Adobe Creative Cloud include its subscription-based pricing model, which can be perceived as expensive, and occasional issues with software updates causing compatibility problems or bugs.

Still One of the Best

Pros

I'm a designer so I primarily work out of Illustrator. I've been using this tool over 10 years now and it's still one the best tools for custom graphics. It seems more economical to just pay for the entire suite, but I honestly don't use all of the tools within it everyday. I periodically need to use other tools like Photoshop to make mockups, so for me it's worth it to just have the entire suite handy. There is a comprehensive library of resources available within Adobe so you can learn how to use each of the tools properly and of course you can pick up on different tricks and hacks on platforms like YouTube.

Cons

Because most of the tools in the suite are primarily designed with trained professionals in mind there is a learning curve, so you have to be willing to invest time into learning how to properly use each of the tools. While Adobe is starting to offer more of the quick, easy-to-learn tools, the majority of the tools available in the suite require more in-depth training. So if you're not invested in developing a skill for the long-term, there are likely easier tools outside of creative cloud that you can use for whatever project you're working on.

My honest experience about using Adobe Creative Cloud for my E-learning platform

Pros

First of all, the app is a bundle of software included altogether so it is easier to navigate through which software to use. For my E-learning education, I use a variety of software for creating content like designing logos, editing videos and photos and I always ultiize adobe creative cloud instead of opening each software separately. There are also updates rolled out regularly once you log-in to software so I don't need to update each software manually. I have absolutely no problems with the software especially what it comes to its performance. No noticeable bugs so far according to the best of my knowledge.

Cons

Sometimes, the software gets unresponsible (although occurs rarely), you can just exit it and reopen the second time to fix the issue. For the first time users, it can be hard to navigate through each of app's functions but gradually as time goes by, you will eventually get the hang of it so no worries at all.
