The most used service in Europe is a free solution called Packlink PRO. This is what stops me using Gigrove for my shops in Europe. Although the functionality for moderately-complex implementations seems to be present (e.g. software licensing and key management), it does not seem to have a very evolved mechanism to apply those functions and the API documentation certainly could be fleshed out a lot better to make it really useable. A lot of potential, though--and quick setup makes it suitable for simple storefronts. Its real power comes in its ability to schedule and sell gigs (hence its name).
